Michael Gryphon

Now you MUST watch City Slickers II: The Quest for Curlys Gold.

Matt Dellarosa

Great reaction Cassie. Im glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

Tinker

Billy crystal really kept Norman after ❤️ love that.

Bill W

I can't believe you spotted Jake Gyllenhaal. Also, that was Billy Crystal's real daughter, and 'Nancy' the cashier is Yeardley Smith - the voice of Lisa Simpson! Please watch City Slickers 2. IMO it has just as many funny moments, and some casting surprises....and more movie references that you WILL get!!

Bill Maurer

She should watch "Shane" after this for a young Jack Palance as a Cowboy

Captain Hammer

I'd love to see you watch City Slickers 2 as well!

Bill W

Cassie, Billy Crystal was already a known stand-up comedian and actor (in the sitcom Soap) before appearing on SNL. He and Martin Short were brought on board as ringers to help boost rating, but they were only on for 1 season ('84/'85). He hosted the Oscars 9 times between 1990 and 2012. I recommend checking out his opening monologues on Youtube. They are fantastic.

Mark Daniels

Wow, haven’t seen this one in decades. Forgot how briefly Jack Palance was in this one. Definitely check out City Slickers 2. It’s kinda funny thinking now about how Bruno Kirby didn’t return for that one but they did reference repeatedly another classic movie he was in that was a sequel…a very very famous one. Also check out The Freshman at some point: late 80s or early 90s like this one with Matthew Broderick, Bruno Kirby and THEE Marlon Brando.

Hollis Hamilton

For more Bruno Kirby, you should check out "The Freshman" a 1990 comedy with Matthew Broderick and Marlon Brando. Also, just a reminder, two Sally Field movies you need to see. "Places in the Heart" 1984. With Danny Glover and John Malkovich. She won her second Oscar for this film. "Murphy's Romance" 1985 With James Garner. A rom-com that Cassie hasn't seen!

CJ Holden

Hollywood needs to bring back cartoon opening credits. That's all.

Clarence Newman

Love the film and one of my favourite Cassie reactions. Shame Carly couldn't be there. For anyone who hasn't seen it, I strongly recommend watching Billy Crystal's one man show, 700 Sundays. It chronicles the first 15 years of his life (the 700 sundays) leading up to the death of his father. If you like Billy's movies, you'll love this.

Clarence Newman

They probably won't, but Cassie could. She just needs to watch the rest of the Pink Panthers.

Mike Lemon

@Clarence- That isn't actually a bad idea. Cassie watching one of the 1000 original Looney Tunes/ Merry Melodies or a Pink Panther or a Commander McBrag or a Woody Woodpecker or a Tom and Jerry etc. would be an interesting little bonus before a watch-along. She could also do some of the old serials. Her reactions to Captain Marvel (1941), Batman (1943), etc. would be interesting.

Mike Lemon

Three Sally Field movies (well, mini series re-released as a movie)- Sybil (1976)

John Doe

Please watch City Slickers II now that you have seen the first one, Jon Lovitz addition is classic 90s comedy

Stephen Last

You recognized Daniel Stern from Home Alone. The other friend played by Bruno Kirby was the stuck up Leutenant in Good Morning Vietnam

Matt Dellarosa

Hey Cassie this seems like a good place to post this. If you like modern day westerns then I highly recomend Hell or High Water. I know you like bromance movies so you'll like that aspect of it too. Its about two brothers and it stars Jeff Bridges. Its a great movie.

Clay F

I believe she has seen it.

Schmidty

Yes! He was fantastic in part 2! Definitely a Highlight!
