VOTE NOW

Hey guys! It's been a while since we've done a bracket!! To help give me a little break during the spooky-but-not-too-spooky movies, I thought a sports bracket would be fun!

I put together a bunch of sports movies that have been recommended both here on Patreon and also on YT. The seeds are RANDOM, but it's double elimination. I haven't seen any of the movies listed below.

Here are the movies in the bracket:

  • Rush (2013)
  • Seabiscuit (2003)
  • Fat City (1972)

  • Tin Cup (1996)
  • Raging Bull (1980)
  • Eight Men Out (1988)
  • Caddyshack (1980)
  • Bull Durham (1988)
  • Field of Dreams (1989)
  • Chariots of Fire (1981)
  • 42 (2013)
  • Murderball (2005)

  • Foxcatcher (2014)
  • Ford v Ferrari (2019)
  • Ali (2001)
  • Hoop Dreams (1994)
  • The Way Back (2020)
  • The Natural (1984)
  • Breaking Away (1979)
  • I, Tonya (2017)
  • Major League (1989)
  • Brian's Song (1971)
  • Ride Like a Girl (2019)
  • The Color of Money (1986)
  • Mystery, Alaska (1999)
  • The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000)
  • Slap Shot (1977)
  • Secretariat (2010)

It starts right now and ends on October 9th. Each round will last 24 hours, so make sure to check back daily! As with the other brackets, I'll be watching both of the movies in the final!

Cassie is not going to enjoy watching Robert De Niro get punched in the face for two hours.

G

LOL! I think she's not gonna even enjoy the violence in Rocky. She needs guidance before she can truly enjoy and appreciate these great and classic films.

Shawn Anderson

Too bad they couldn't CGI the old De Niro's face into the movie. I would watch that version on a constant loop for hours!

Paul Klenk

You're right, Raging Bull is not a film Cassie needs to see at this point, and may never be. She will never regret not seeing Raging Bull.

Paul Klenk

I congratulate Cassie's fans for getting Slap Shot as far is it got in the Loser's Round. It is a very funny film. Although I am not sure it is right for her, or "needs to be seen" by her, I would love to see her reaction. It's a unique, classic cult comedy and always will be.

Do other people miss the emails for the brackets ? I get emails, but when I go vote we are way down the track, so I've clearly missed some. I got the first one for sure, then about midway through, and now we are at the end.

Dirk Rheeder

How does Rocky lose to Field of Dreams ? That is a mystery to me. Sure, Field of Dreams is a good movie, but it should not beat Rocky in this pole...

Jacob Bender

Can I suggest adding one that isn't on the list? It's a movie called 'The Ringer' about a guy who, against all odds, manages to nearly win his event in the Special Olympics (despite being totally unqualified for the event). It's a story of perseverance. Of courage.

Anonymous

I know it's not on the list. You should consider the Dark Knight trilogy. Or Joker, those are good movies

Julian

You are already aware that we should now vote for the same thing for 4 times.no accusation only as a statement.love your videos.

James Little

Million Dollar Baby. This is The Green Mile/Shawshank Redemption of sports films.

MetallicOpeth

great to see Rocky coming back and winning. you will love that one Cass

My_Cousin_Mose

Maybe I'm wrong here but the voting system seems to be a bit odd to me. I'm not complaining about the outcome here, I was rooting for Rocky from day 1. I think Cassie will really like it as its a drama first, not just a sports movie. But how does Rocky lose in the quarterfinals, and Ford vs. Ferrari went undefeated, yet Rocky still ends up coming in 1st?

Future Boy

Also, when you click on the vote link it brings up the result, and it says The Natural came in 2nd place? It got knocked out in round 1 by Ford Vs Ferrari, and then lost to Major League in the losers bracket. How is that 2nd place? While Field of Dreams got to both the winners' and losers' final and doesn't even make 3rd?

Moneyball - sports movie with BRAD PITT, so right up your street!
