Love the T-shirt Micks Gym, I just bought 2 on Amazon. 😉👍

MJ

Is anyone else dreading the Rocky 5 reaction lol....

Adrian Riley

Rocky 4 is awesome and has the most incredible soundtrack... so looking forward to this

Brandon Gibbs

You thought that was a fight? Wait till you two see ROCKY IV cause it's gonna be his greatest challenge ever!

Cassie, I like you and everything, but I am unsubscribing and canceling my Patreon. Did you actually call wrestling fake? How could you?! Blasphemy!!! (Not ironically, the Rocky-Thunderlips bout is very much in the spirit of wrestling.)

Tyler Foster

You gotta put up a Patreon and YouTube poll over which cut of Rocky IV to watch. I still think this is more of a worthwhile consideration than DWW because as you discovered, DWW wasn't Costner's preferred cut, whereas the new Director's Cut of Rocky IV fixes things Stallone has wanted to correct for decades.

Myles Away

The classic, original cut is a rite of passage though. One should watch that first to understand the original experience we all had. For me, it is more interesting to go back and watch the new cut in a more academic sense.

Tyler Foster

I must admit that I am also biased by the fact that 1) in its theatrical form, Rocky IV is my least-favorite entry in the series and one of my least-favorite sequels of all time, and 2) I haven't watched the DC yet, so this would be a great opportunity.

Myles Away

I agree that it is bad. But for me it is so bad that it becomes good again. It's hilarious.

Rocky IV came out 37 years ago. The director's cut was released 2 months ago. It cuts out ~40 minutes of the original footage and adds roughly the same amount of new material (cut footage and alternate takes). Cassie has to choose between seeing what may well be an improved version of the movie or reacting to the classic version which is what nearly everyone is familiar with.

Happy Hanukkah

I was just now reminded of the Cornershop "hit" "Lessons Learned from Rocky I to Rocky III." [language warning] (They're best known for "Brimful of Asha.")

Happy Hanukkah

"A metaphor for a rise to fame. At the start of ‘Rocky’, the title character is an unknown local boxer; by ‘Rocky III’ he has become a celebrity who loses and regains the World Heavyweight Championship during the movie. Cornershop were an underground act until the release of the Norman Cook remix of ‘Brimful of Asha’, which propelled them to Number One. The lyric therefore documents the salutary lessons they picked up along the way, albeit mostly ironically." from: https://genius.com/12386911

Not sure if James deleted his comment or what, but I reiterate: Stallone -- you know, the creator of Rocky, not a millennial, and the writer/director/star of the movie -- has been wanting to re-edit the film for decades. So I don't know where you got "so millennials could understand it better."

Ken - Kendo161

you two were quite entertaining on this video. 💙💚🌺🌺😁

I think the main thing to consider is that the vast majority of the people own the original theatrical version of Rocky IV. We wouldn't be able to view it with her otherwise.

Tyler Foster

I don't really see how it's different than any other movie. There isn't usually some kind of check to see how many people own a movie like Maverick or Pretty in Pink or anything else the audience might not be assumed to have on-hand. Like those films, the DC of Rocky IV is widely available to rent on digital services for $4.

Orcagirl78

I loved your reaction to this!! I can't wait for you to watch Rocky IV. I hope you watch with Carly. But be careful: the fight scenes are some of the most intense in the Rocky series. I'm not sure which version you should watch: the original version is good but the newer version is a little more cohesive. But, I think anyone has to experience the robot at least once!! 😁🤪

Russell

Yeah, I think she should stop after 4. Rocky 5 is terrible in my opinion. It's like Sylvester hit a mid-life crisis at 5 and lost the spirit of his previous movies.

Matthew Linson

Hey, just out of curiosity, where did you have that custom neon sign made?

Interplanetary species

Great reaction you guy's are hilarious 😁🙌 I totally agree with you guy's this one and Rocky 2 are the best in the franchise! But you have 4 more movies coming up. Can't wait for Creed🤗
