I don't want to spoil this reaction but it was so intense packed into 90 minutes. I loved seeing some of the og people back and Madame Secretary and Jerry Lundegarrd ;) Hope you like it, excited to watch Jurassic World next

Chris Clarke

I think the previous film had the best and most surprising JP Cassie reaction: "Put him in the wood chipper!!!"🤣

Steve Colletti

I must have missed Cassie doing Jurassic Park II. I'll have to go back and check - which would be a nice surprise!

Cole Jennett

Necessary to get through this one to get to JW1 and then JW3 this summer.

Michael Lynch

Those pesky velociraptors always dialing those phone numbers. Always prank calling people.

Brent Petty

Cassie, I want you to take the $10 I paid this month and invest in a nice flyswatter. Treat yourself. :)

Michael Lynch

God that was such a bad movie. So many ridiculous scenes that keep the Stars surviving ridiculously. At the end when the soldiers show up to rescue everybody they sped up the music and it just sounded stupid. Your battle with that fly was more entertaining than this movie.

Brent Petty

Joe Johnston also directed October Sky.

Steven Ashford

The prehistoric fly kept her on her toes!!

David RedEagle

That was fun, I especially loved your co-host The Fly.

Dustin Nelson

This was great can't wait for jurassic world and fallen kingdom

Dustin Nelson

We're not actually sure what happened to Ben in that tree but the boat guys were eaten by the pteranodons/"pterodactyls". The spinosaurus actually looked pretty different from this since more of its bones were found after the movie came out, like a big cross between a crested newt and a crocodile. Lookup some new paleoart of it, it's almost swanlike

zynjams

Michael Jeter is in a couple of Kevin Costner movies , Waterworld , open range ,

softshoes

Do the cry for help Dr Grant. Lesson learned, learn how to talk raptor. I mean really. You're a good sport Cassie to not pan this.

Robin T

So we're not watching The Fly for a while 🤣

Dave Hill

Well, Cassie said she hoped to see the original cast. We can only assume that was Jeff Goldblum buzzing around her the entire movie. :P

Kevin Townsend

I actually like this one more than number 2.

Stick Figure Studios

Easily the weakest of the original three, but still fun. Pretty lean at 90 minutes, so it doesn't wear out it's welcome, but just very... mechanical in nature (lacking the style and panache of the first two). Johnston is a capable journeyman director, but he's no Spielberg.

Alex Villarreal

It's just a movie, but I felt so betrayed when the Sam Neill and Laura Dern characters turned out to NOT be together.

Gábor Árki

Cassie, if you are interested in seeing the original cast reunite, there was a Vanity Fair interview uploaded to YT a week ago with Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill talking about making the first movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOmlwXM61RQ

Stick Figure Studios

"I would like to have seen Montana." Look at you, Cassie, referencing another Sam Neill movie. You've come a long way. :-)

LMrcs

Definitely the weakest of the anthology for me but it had so many development issues it was bound to happen- I read somewhere that they were still getting rewrites while filming. After 20 years of watching it I think I boiled it down to the following points: 1. Villainizing the dinos is a bad move (spino stalking them is dumb) 2. Billy dying would have been more impactful to Grant's character arc 3. Eric surviving for 8 weeks is ridiculous lol 4. Potentially cool plot points ("makes you wonder what else ingen was up to") reduced to throwaway lines Last one is more my bias but I agree I would've loved to see Grant end up with Ellie!! Anyways loved you're reaction as always and I can't wait until you start the World series!

Brian McGovern

I think that fly was an open. Maybe Cassie has to see The Fly.

Darren Hill

Average movie, typical Hollywood attempt to generate easy box office dollars.

Future Boy

That was a lot more fun than I expected it to be! And that was just the appetizer this week. Scent of a Woman will be the main course, Creed the dessert! P.S. I hope Cassie will team up with the fly again someday!

Mr Trick

Certainly not the top of the franchise, but better than it’s reputation.

Zulfadhli Abd Latif

this is close as it gets to horror movie as we never gonna get it

Bryan Harris

May be my favorite Cassie reactions ever! I am a HUGE fan of all of the JP and JW films, I already have tix for 2 showings of JW Dominion! Can't wait to see the JW reactions.

Jason Dolan

I love when Cassie's hands go up in the air when she realizes Alan and Ellie are not married - they TRICKED US!

Johnston is excellent at bringing pulp, B-movie sensibility to the screen with a modern budget. His directorial career is built on such movies. That’s exactly what JP III is and it’s successful in that context.

Anthony Perez

Another great reaction BUT...I had forgotten how annoying the Tea Leoni character was...do women really screech like that at the sign of danger...or even screaming with a megaphone in an area where you KNOW there are dinosaurs ? I find it a horrible stereotyping to show females SCREAMING uncontrollably but never men. Although it also shows Billie yelling for Alan like a moron...does he not realize it will attract other dinos ?

Reece Coventree

Well, I feel like I was more entertained by watching Cassie reacting to the fly. I mean the reactions to the movie were great, but the movie is just so-so. At least it's out of the way now. Moving on. But now I have to check this out again. Did Cassie utter a curse word!? LANGUAGE!

TigerDelta
>>83306408

I guess I missed the curse word. Do you have a time stamp? I bet it was just misheard.

Popcorn In Bed
>>83274697

great points, i agree with eric surviving was a bit of a stretch. same with a teenage gymnastics move taking down a raptor in the last one haha

Gábor Árki

I remembered I didn't like this one much. Definitely the Rocky 5 (or Star Trek 5) of the series, but at least it's not long and with Cassie's "oh my gosh" reaction and the surprise guest it was fun to watch. There was a video I've seen a while ago detailing that it was quite a troubled production. They dropped a semi finished script merely weeks before shooting began, when a lot of the sets and props have already been designed or even prepared. They started shooting when the new script (that had to be written so that existing sets could be somehow reused) hasn't been properly finished yet and there were continuous rewrites and changes throughout the entire production. If anyone interested the video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul5BGlc4hOE

It feels kind of thrown together. There is exceptionally little story/plot to speak of as the the movie just races breathlessly from one exciting set piece to the next with little in the way of pace or character development (not that these kinds of films are especially well known for the character development, but you can at least see the earlier movies attempting it).

I'm not 100% sure. I may have misheard a "shoot" or something. It just caught my attention. By comparison, your language is squeaky clean. That's 1 reason why I cherish your channel. Others don't even get through their intro before f bombing me for no reason. After being in the military, I'm trying desperately to clean up my language.

Biggman83

I reckon that was a Mosquito! Maybe in a Million Years someone will find it and clone Cassie for a Popcorn In Bed theme park attraction!

Robin T
>>83305767

She's such a great actress too. Shame her character had so little to do.

djKENTO

Two Joe Johnston movies in 2 weeks. LOVE IT! Joe is so under appreciated. Hope he gets to do another big movie soon. Love his work.

Patrick Egan

I've always thought JP3 was underrated. It wasn't as philosophical as the earlier movies, but as a straight-up thrill ride it's quite fun. As good as the CGI was, there was still a LOT of animatronics used in this one. The bonus features on the DVD talked a lot about how they figured out the right balance of the two technologies. One other thing I remember from the DVD is that after the first movie, Joe Johnston approached Spielberg and said if there's a sequel he'd really love to direct it. Spielberg's reply was "I think I want to do the second one, but if we do a third it's yours".

Andrew Hogan

I’m super late to this, but I’ve never wanted an entire cast killed so badly, lol. The only thing that makes this barely tolerable is Sam Neil. It would have been better if everyone in the movie was eaten and Dr.Grant had to survive on his own.

Stick Figure Studios

Well, there's one thing they can't say about Cassie that they actually could say about Norman Bates/Mother: "She wouldn't even harm a fly."

Andrew Hogan
>>83462234

The fly jokes have been the best thing about this reaction. That’s not a shot at Cassie, it’s at the movie, just in case it flew over somebody’s head.

Andrew Hogan
>>83462234

By the way, the fact that you mentioned Rocketeer and Captain America being one of the better MCU movies, Thank You good sir. She does need to see Rocketeer, that movie was made for Cassie.

Stick Figure Studios
>>83462234

"just in case it flew over someone's head." I saw what you did there. Very clever. :-) Do you have these jokes planned out or are you just winging it?

Stick Figure Studios
>>83462234

Yup. Cassie'll love ROCKETEER. She liked CAPTAIN AMERICA and RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and it is very much in that wheelhouse.

bernthe23

Spinosaurus! My favorite dinosaur!!!

Shaun Stuart

YES! It’s about time!! Don’t apologize to movie snobs. This film and reaction were awesome… Now watch King Kong (Peter Jackson 2005)

Stick Figure Studios

While Charlie Chaplin was shooting "The Gold Rush" in 1924, there was an agitated discussion going on in the studio about the storyline. And a fly kept distracting everyone, so Chaplin, furious, asked for a swatter and tried to kill it. He failed. After a moment the fly landed on the table beside him, within easy reach. He picked up the swatter to swipe at it, then abruptly stopped and put down the swatter. When the others asked “Why?”, he looked at them and said: “It isn’t the same fly.”

Dillon Herndon

You definitely got to watch Jurassic world you’ll love it and your reactions are priceless I enjoy watching all of them
