Welcome to SEVENS week!! *cue beat dropping

Guys, it was a rough weekend. I spent 48 hours in bed thinking I was having a gallbladder attack or cut my esophagus open from the inside with a pointy chip or  SOMETHING! Turns out I had an ulcer that was causing pretty terrible uncomfortable pain. I thought only like Wallstreet guys and people stressed out like Leo in The Departed got ulcers! Luckily I got on the meds and on the mend and then the following night one of our children threw up all night long. Why is it always at night!?

On the bright side though, before all that-I read a book, I went to the greenhouse to pick up flowers for the garden, saw one of the kids terribly beautiful violin recitals and got to watch 3 movies we loved with Carly. So. not so bad after all!

Sevens Week is here with this trio of films, I'm excited to see the similarities and differences between all 3.

Also go check out and vote on the Bruce Willis Poll that went up this morning. Personally I voted for Unbreakable and The Siege, hmmm maybe i shouldn't tell you my votes then they won't come true?

ALSO want to let you know about the LIVE event coming up on Tuesday 5/30. So now for the "popped corn with butter" tier, we will no longer list names in the description boxes of the video, but instead have a once a month private LIVE event with either a movie watch along together or just a AMA hangout! Check out the poster here:

Hope everyone has a fantastic week, with no overly pointy chips!

Happy you're better. I love that you're doing a theme week. Please don't stop them. Nothing more exciting than you randomly picking a theme and going with it.

Get well Cassie. As someone with long term acid reflux I know how painful stomach problems can be. It will be interesting to see how watching basically the same story three times in a row will work out. If I had to guess I'd say that M7 remake will suffer the most both from being not much different from the original M7 and from going third.

Hope you get better soon, I had an stomach ulcer when I was about 16 it’s wasn’t pleasant. After I’d had the tables they gave me I’ve never had any trouble since and it was about 30 years ago. Not complaining as I know you have to cater for everyone but you do seem to be watching quite a few westerns which I’m not a massive fan of, it probably wouldn’t be so bad but I’m not a fan of James Bond ether 😂 (which I know you’ve not gotten many left now). I’d love to see you watch a few more comedy’s or Sci-fi movies but like I’ve said I know it must be very difficult to try and keep everyone happy so it’s ok, I’m just giving a little feedback.

I'm going just say one thing, this is problem throughout discord and Patreon lately. No matter the generation boomers to gen z if someone doesn't like a movie that is chosen on the channel it gets bashed hard and people who do like it get told off. You complain about how people react to regular people being the protagonist in a movie by bashing superhero movies. I'll remind you superheroes have been around since the 1930s even before 7 samurai. This is killing people from giving options cause you get attacked from both sides and I wish it would stop. Thanks and have a good day.

It's Japanese, so not kung fu

Cassie you need to take care of yourself. You need to watch your stress and try not to worry so much about stuff. You need to start de-stressing. Take a walk, bubble bath, glass of wine, whatever works for you.

Mike Lemon

"Oh, and one more thing, why do some people feel the need to dump on someone, just because they don't agree with their opinion? Express your own counterpoint and then END IT, (Mike) -Just sayin'....." What the Hell are you talking about and what Mike are you talking to?

David Freese

Once again you do it again so keep up the attitude because you chasing people away when you talk like that so have a great day and bye,!!!

Johnny

Cool movies that I'm looking forward to. I was hoping you'd do something for Memorial Day though..

CG Shunk

Agree with Rick, might want to back off on some of the more violent war movies for awhile. It's summer grab some light summer movies. I'd love to see an older and younger sister watch and debate 'A League of Their Own'. Even though you've already seen it would be interesting to see each of your different perspectives as the 2 sisters in the movie develop their rivalry. There's no crying in baseball. If not that then maybe follow up on Indiana Jones The Last Crusade with Monty Pythons Holy Grail.

Richard Maurer

@ james - Not looking to wade into anything, just had no clue what was going on. But maybe I will just sit this one out.

Mike Lemon

@Richard- You're not the only one who has no clue what is going on. I have no idea what he is talking about.

carbsix

I grew up on westerns and the Yul Brenner Mag7 has been one of my all time faves forever

Please keep it civil, this is why I'm not on discord,a bunch of old guy's with inflated egos, patreon should have the last word in choosing polls, discord should be for discussion only,we don't pay membership dues on discord..

Wow, thank you for diving deep and watching all three of these! You are no longer an inexperience movie fan. You have become a true, experienced, cinephile! "What makes you a cinephile? A person who is very interested in and enthusiastic about cinema as an art form, and knows a lot about movies: There are movie fans; there are film lovers; and then there are cinephiles."
