Ohhh Nic Cage is so good at Nic Cage!! This was fun, highly entertaining, may have been even more fun for a car lover? I liked the brotherly love and Robert Duvall so much! I didn't love the chemistry between Nic and Angie but guess I wanted him to be a little more genius at it? Elanor you temptress you, better than my loser cruiser though? ;)

[Full Reaction] Gone In 60 Seconds (2000)

Comments

Brian McGovern

I still have not seen this movie. May have to watch next weekend.

Wyatt Nuxoll

The car Eleanor a 1967 Shelby GT 500 Ford mustang was named after Carol Shelby's wife , you know Matt Damon's character in Ford vs Ferreri .... that Carol Shelby anyway the ford mustang itself had a whole specific model and class of mustangs that was specifically named after Carol Shelby because of of the cobra jet V8 429 engines that were put into the cars making them crazy fast and beloved by all car racers cementing Carol Shelby into the absolute legend that he was and still is

Christopher Smith

Who doesn't love some Chi McBride? Cassie should put Pushing Daisies on the TV todo list. She will love & hate the Lee Pace/Anna Friel love story.

Choof

The moth attack was one of the funniest reaction moments ever haha

Odd Thomas

Dumb but fun. My main gripe with it is it's a car movie and there are hardly any good stunts - and the one big stunt at the end is CGI. Wasted opportunity.

rakeshldn

Who would have thought Vinnie Jones would get a second life as an Actor eh? Anglela Looks gorgeous here, but her best performance is Mr And Mrs Smith. I'm glad you're liking Nic Cage. I think he's one of my favourite actors, pre-2000. Snake Eyes, Face Off, Leaving Las Vegas And most recently PIG are some of his great movies. Always interesting to watch. The scene i love in this film is the shot of all of them together. Low Rider plays, and he says " ok let's ride!"

John

Cassie, this movie's alright, but it doesn't compare to the 1974 original, in my opinion. A perfect example of guerilla filmmaking as it could only be done in the early '70s.

Mike Lemon

Team Aniston? Leprechaun (1993) needs added to the October list. It's one of her first roles.

Robert C

Cassie, the actor that you recognised as playing someones brother is Giovanni Ribisi who played Phoebe's brother in Friends who kept setting fire to things.

JL_83

this movie was always a tad underwhelming to me; Jerry Bruckheimer and Nicolas Cage scored big with The Rock and Con Air, so guess I just had higher expectations, especially with such a good cast…ah well

David Bunnetto

I'm sorry, but this movie is just terrible

Just Plain Bob

Godawful remake of one of the great “car porn” movies of the ‘70s. Just terrible.

Wes

I guess I’m watching this for the first time with you Cassie. Somehow this movie slipped through my youth even though it’s right up my alley

Gábor Árki

Cassie, I found it and your Purolator hat is on its way to your PO box. I watched this movie for the second time, but I still don't think it's a good one. It has some flaws in the plot, the acting, the direction, and just contains so many cliches and stereotypes. However, it also has some fun moments, especially in the second half, and I enjoyed watching the reaction. Specially the next chapter of Cassie vs The Moth. 😀 I'm not a car person, but I have to admit I find the 60's Ford Mustang one of the best-looking cars. I just love watching it on screen every time. If I ever had the money and the opportunity to buy a vintage car, I would probably choose this one. This reminds me to suggest another movie featuring it. BULLITT (1968), a great crime/thriller starring Steve McQueen.

Tara

Cassie, it’s funny you mentioned Oceans 11 because the one “younger” guy Tumblr, who could drive anything and was driving the SUV when Toby got shot is played by Scott Caan, who was in the Oceans movies as one of the two annoying brothers who are always fighting. He’s also Dano on Hawaii Five-0. I wasn’t sure if you recognized Robert Duvall’s (spelled Otto) red headed lady who was hanging around the garage. She played Rose’s overbearing mother on Titanic. She was in Unforgiven with Clint Eastwood with whom she has a daughter with. She also dated George Clooney in the 90’s. The actor who plays Nic’s brother, Giovanni Ribisi, has been in a lot of movies and TV like Friends, but I know you don’t like that so you may not have seen him. He played the “bad guy” in Avatar. He was in a movie called The Other Sister as a young man with special needs which I highly recommend. He is phenomenal in that movie and one I know you will like about two special needs people.

Gideon James

Fun fact. Cage did all of his own driving in the movie.

Yaisu

Always a fun movie to watch

Edgar Gonzalez

Cassie, you should also check out "Face/Off" with Nicholas cage and john Travolta if you haven't seen it yet

Even though she’s “Team Aniston” she’s not a fan of Friends at all, so that’s not where she would know him from. Most likely SPR as mentioned.

Zachary K.

So I am a car guy I used to restore old cars. The 1967 Shelby GT500. Is a car I would love to drive. I once replaced pistons on a original hemi engine. The Shelby had a police -Interceptor V8. I had goosebumps looking at that car.

Wesley White

Nice!!! Glad you enjoyed this film Cassie! I'll be sure to watch it tonight after work and give you my commentary! This movie is so underrated, once again, glad you enjoyed it! Love and support, have a great day, and God bless you Cassie🥰😇🙏😁😉👍🌹

John Burns Burnsey

Nic Cage is a character you can play in the game Dead By Daylight.

Rick Williams

Cassie that moth wasn't going to hurt you. He was just attracted to you glow. This movie has always been a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. It's fun. Great reaction. I'm glad you are finally coming home. Better internet connection in the states.

Mike LL

In this movie Cameron Poe had to team up with Lara Croft to save Pvt. Ryan's medic by stealing cars for Dr. Who, by staying one step ahead of Marshal Bullock, and all to keep Laura Palmer's mother from being unhappy. Got it.

Robert da Spruce

Opposite of inconspicuous? Uh….conspicuous? 😉 JK! Fun reaction Cassie! Memphis’s little brother is played by Giovanni Ribisi. Who you probably know from Saving Private Ryan. He played the medic. Another Nicholas Cage movie you may enjoy. Family Man (2000) starring Nick Cage and Tea Leoni.

Celeste McAllister

No one can play Nic Cage like Nic Cage! I love I love I love AJ!! Cassie,I watched 'The Sound of Freedom' 2023.💧💧💧.I see why it's struck so many nerves in the Hollywood establishment..I hugged my kids over and over after this♡♡

Tringard

I'm glad you had fun with this dumb movie, I enjoyed spending my Sunday with you and my nostalgia

Myles Away

The hard cut from the moth freakout to you watching the movie again with a straight face was pure comedic timing.

Stick Figure Studios

Not really a fan of this film, so I think I'll skip this reaction. Glad you enjoyed it though.

Canadianant

Good popcorn movie for a Sunday afternoon. Not a cinematic masterpiece by any stretch but a fun watch. Interesting in that of the 50 cars on the list there's a lot of pretty standard cars with a few exceptions. Most notable to me is that the 1967 Ferrari 275 would be worth in the millions on its own at auction nowadays. Nic Cage has/had a pretty substantial car collection himself including the 275. This reaction is worth a watch just for the Cassie versus The moth saga with some moments that would definitely meet the highlight reel for best scare.

Wesley White

WOW!!! I haven't seen this movie in ages, I forgot how good it was, such an underrated heist movie! I'm very glad you liked it Cassie, totally worth staying up till 2 in the morning lol! I'm right there with you at the fact of not being much of Angelina Jolie fan either, but I do have mutual respect for her, unfortunately though I'm not a Jennifer Aniston fan either, again mutual respect! I'm sorry Cassie, but I couldn't stop laughing at you freaking out about that moth that was invading you, my sides were splitting🤣 thank you for that laugh, I needed it lol! Giovanni Ribisi who played the little brother, he also played the medic Wade in Saving Private Ryan, Delroy Lindo was the cop, really great actor, to bad you don't see much of him these days! One of the actors was Scott Cann, he's the son of the late great James Cann (The Godfather, Misery) to bad he doesn't act much these days! That one actor, James Duval, the one that stole the car with all the drugs in the trunk, he was in Independence Day, he played Miguel, one of the sons of Randy Quad's character! So many awesome looking cars, just seeing that GT 500 getting totaled just hurts, I'm not totally into cars, but I can appreciate a really nice looking car! Personally for me, and this is my most humble opinion, this is way better than the Fast and the Furious franchise, but that's just me! I honestly forgot that this was a Jerry Bruckheimer production, ha, learn something new every day! Just you wait till you see Nick Cage in Face/OFF, that's a great action movie and one of his best, opposite John Travolta! Here's an idea for a underrated 90's action movie poll, and these are what comes to mind for me since I grew up watching these movies😁 . Face/OFF . Broken Arrow . Soldier . Last Action Hero . Bad Boys I'll admit, I'm kinda cheating by putting Bad Boys on the list because it's not that underrated, but it's 90's lol! Next time I'll make one for the 80's since this commentary of mine is getting to long lol! Regardless, I'm still glad you watched this movie and enjoyed it, I know I certainly enjoyed it! Hope you made it back home safely, thanks for making my night, you're an angel! You (and Carly) are the best, love and support, [virtual hug] God bless you, and as always [snaps fingers & winks] stay classy Cassie🥰😇😁😉👍🙏🌹

LuMarq

Always a classic, and yeah kinda leans on its nostalgia factor these days. I watched the original 1974 independent film a while back, and have to say I liked it slightly better. It also has (probably) the longest car chase in film history at 40min!

Uncle Phoenix

Now that “they” are saying that there are aliens are real and that they have been to earth; maybe it’s time for Cassie to finish the Alien and Predator movies. (winkie face emoji)

J M

Cassie, have you ever posted tv show reactions?

Odd Thomas

You haven't truly experienced Nic Cage until you've seen Face/Off. It's like a rule.

Odd Thomas

A better action movie starring Angelina Jolie: Tomb Raider

Biggman83

I love the fact that Robert Duvall and James Caan’s sons are both in the movie. Great early 00’s movie, I’ve been saving it to watch!

Ricardo Alanis

Giovanni Rabisi (played Kip) was Phoebe’s brother in Friends and Doc Wade in Saving Private Ryan.

Ryan Towell

I have never heard of Nic Cage being referred to as a "C" actor. ha. He was a huge star for quite some time, even an Oscar winner he's done some great films And he is a Coppola ( you know Francis Ford Coppola, he's Francis Nephew and he's also the nephew of Tilia Shire ( you know ADRIAN) he was born for films. Raising Arizona, Moon Struck, Honeymoon in Vegas, Amos & Andrew (w Samuel L. Jackson), Leaving Las Vegas (won an oscar), City of Angels, Snake Eyes, The family Man, Windtalkers, World Trade Center, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, The Frozen Ground, Joe, Pig, Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (with Pedro Pascal).. He is one of the more fun actors, you never know what you're going to get with him, but whatever it is, it's going to be fun.

Ryan Towell

Speaking of Robert Duvalle. I highly recommend Second Hand Lions, Duvalle and Michael Cain. So good together in that.

Russell Teo

Pure goo. Career ending failure for Cage

Only good movie Nic stared in since then is when he is not the main lead. Like Big Daddy in Kick-Ass

Mike Lemon
>>114877755

National Treasure, Windtalkers, Family Man, Lord of War? Sorcerer's Apprentice was fun.

Zane From Canada

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Cassie might be a little afraid of bugs. 😁

How many millions of dollars have your movies made? He's earned over 200 million from his movies. Obviously you're just not a fan. IMDB is not the place to get movie ratings. It's the Wikipedia of reviews, anybody can leave one, including the people who just don't like him and leave a bad rating out of spite. Plus, according to Google 80% of users liked this movie, which contradicts the IMDB rating, and it made over 230 million in the box office, making it #1 at the time and beating out Mission Impossible 2. This movie was successful and Cage went on to make dozens of more films and got paid to make them...so obviously his career is a success. He doesn't care if you like his movies. He only cares if movies studios will still pay him to act, and they do.

Josh B

if your a fan of Duvall aswell as Tommy Lee Jones, you should check out Lonesome Dove at some point. One of the best "westerns" out there

Astraeos

Quite late but a Nic Cage movie that you would absolutely LOVE is Matchstick Men. Quite heartwarming, great twists, has Sam Rockwell in it too. Just can't recommend it enough.

Terry Yelmene

"Don't do this to me." ~ Memphis Raines This was fun. ~ Cassie
