Cole Jennett

Points for watching the whole thing! You’re a real trooper kid!

Tringard

If you watched IT, I guess it's time I did too...

Michael Lynch

Oh snap! Hell yes! All aboard the terrified Cassie train. I predict this one scares the crap out of you. I can’t wait to get to this after this awesome Dallas Cowboys game.

Bill Maurer

"The Searchers" Looking forward to watching "IT" reaction.

Jon Johns

I've never seen this, just the old TV version (and read the book) so this should be... Fun 🥴

brooke atkins

Have to check it out tonight when I get off work. I hope you handled this one better than scream Cassie. But considering scream is 100 times less scary than this movie lol I have my doubts. 🤣🤣🤣

Matt Winchester

I'm really proud of you! 😄 This must have been tough..

AdrianF

Yes! I'm gonna be up late tonight. I thought you were prob gonna leave it for the 31st when it didn't appear.

Diiirk706

Eyyyy Cassie; any ETA, or even an estimate of an ETA, on Part II? Just wondering....

AdrianF
>>120927356

The TV version is great, but I really enjoyed the two new ones. The book has unTVable probs I guess these days (what was he thinking) but these are good. IMO as always.

brooke atkins
>>120927510

Haha probably next year or never. She will only do horror movies in October which I personally don’t understand. It doesn’t have to be Halloween to enjoy a scary movie. But oh well

James UK

Heroic effort. Above and beyond the call of duty.

Alexis

Thank you for promptly answering the "what should I watch next?" that was going through my head these last few minutes :p.

Shehab Dawoud

Good job finishing it, Cassie. I just showed this movie to some of my 11 year old Fútbol boys a few weeks ago and they got through it, so I knew you could do it too! Looking forward to watching.

JC762

How realistic is it to hope that she sort of liked this movie and will finish chapter 2? 😬

Celeste McAllister

Wen Stephen King passes his brain should be preserved in a flask and displayed next to Einstein's brain.."We All Float Down Here!"👾 Is it November yet?🍁🍊💜

Ian A

I am genuinely excited for this. The Tim Curry IT was great, but this one really freaked me out. I love that your husband says it's the scariest thing you'll watch, and you ask worst than The Shining?, since they both are Stephen King adaptations. SK had a wild imagination.

Alex Gorell

I’m impressed you made it through this. I had to turn it off like 15 minutes into the movie. Just too freaky for me.

Drew

If you ever feel you can do Chapter Two, it's arguably even more emotional. IMO, kind of like the horror version of Avengers: Endgame.

Diiirk706

Impatiently waiting for the download...sigh

Just Plain Bob

This is one those movies I just don’t get. I watched it in the theater and had to make an effort to keep from falling asleep. I considered walking out but, once I pay those exorbitant ticket prices, it’s hard for me to leave. I just don’t get why people find this movie scary. I think the hype for this and the book it’s based on is way overblown. PS: I read the book more than 30 years ago and haven’t read anything King has written since. I can’t help but wonder if he’s got psychiatric issues. The scene in the book involving Beverly having intercourse with all of the boys was not only gratuitous, it was sickening. These were children. It was far more horrific than anything else in either the book or the movies.

Ike

I’m really surprised this isn’t in two parts, with an intermission in between. 😅

Robert da Spruce

Haven’t watched your reaction yet, but I give you credit Cassie. Brave choice considering your comfort level with scary movies. Hope it wasn’t too traumatic 😊

Josh Phillips

Can’t wait to sit down and watch this! It was a pretty good remake, but I still think the original had a more sinister and creepy vibe to it.

Author Travis Adams Irish

No worries, Cassie, we're here with you. I'm just farting and drinking vegetable juice to slim down for a sales trip to Washington D.C. next week. Just bought a fresh $1,200 wardrobe and getting in shape for travel Don't worry, I'll scare that clown away...or smoke him out. Lol.

Wesley White

Well, if you're brave enough to watch this, I suppose I might have to be too lol! I don't blame you for procrastinating on this lol! Have an awesome Sunday Cassie, love and support always🥰😁😉😇🙏👍🌹

Wyatt Nuxoll

Cassie I think I speak for a lot of us patrons when I say that you really have jumped into new waters here . I know that quite a few of these scary movies are not an easy watch for you especially when it's your first time viewing and I just want to commend you and give you a big pat on the back for enduring these films because these are very good scary movies and are very scary

JL_83

guess this is what you meant when you said clowns; read the novel many times back in the day, and then read it again when I heard they were making this movie…still as good today as it was then; any chance with Part 2? It had a really good cast…

Mark Vaderr

Cassie, good for you on watching this on your own without pressure from any of us. I love that you did not give a description of your reaction. Keep the anticipation high.

Priscila

You've done so well Cassie, we're proud of you! IT is scary because it shows that sometimes the humans are as bad as the monsters, unfortunately.

Author Travis Adams Irish

Glad they didn't go with Stephen King's original ending - that would have been too weird to watch. He was clearly doing drugs when he wrote the book.

Odd Thomas

Chapter 2 is overlong and leans too heavily into comedy BUT is still a good movie and wraps up the story nicely

Anthony Perez

Cassie...long have I desired to watch this movie but I never was brave enough to watch it by myself. So I am right here with you , just as scared and worried. But past the scary stuff, this is an incredible movie. I will have to watch "IT 2" . Will you join us? We all float here.

Ike

Cassie, this movie was a huge hurdle within this genre and ya leaped it! I misjudged you - so sorry - there is a little thing called “moxie” and you have it lady! Without these kids, this movie would be unwatchable for me. I would watch a whole series based around these talented young actors portraying my Generation (X?) of awkward, adventurous, name-calling misfits with thick skins and potty mouths. I loved their acting so much.

Jimmy Reyes

Are you watching IT chapter 2 Cassie? Because in reality you've only watched half a movie.

Allowit-Man

FYI Cassie, there is no reaction audio past 1:23

aarswft

I love watching people get scared but not when it's not a fun kind of scared. Hope you don't feel obligated to do movies you can't handle. No shame in it. Movies should be fun not traumatizing.

Shehab Dawoud

Alright, that was a decent conclusion to the season, I feel. Definitely an improvement on last year (not very hard) even though only one of my suggestions made it, but we'll allow it. Here's a fitting program for next year: Night of The Living Dead The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Carrie The Fog Friday The 13th Fright Night The Fly The Devil's Advocate I Know What You Did Last Summer The Blair Witch Project American Psycho (we need some thrillers too) Scary Movie (Comedy/Spoof) The Lighthouse Don't want anyone disagreeing with this program, it's spot on, cash money.

Brent Petty

In the recap, you were thinking of Super 8. Also, Georgie and the other missing kids ARE dead.

Walter
>>120936772

I love Fright Night. But I also enjoyed the remake. Am I alone on that?

Shehab Dawoud
>>120936772

Yes you are. Jk, because of Rob Zombie I stay away from remakes. So I haven’t seen that one.

Todzilla

I'm trying not to get spiled by the comments, but Cassie's audio cuts out 2/3rds of the way through!!! I hope they have the audio and fix it cause it was a pretty good reaction so far.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

Cassie, First I am glad Ben was there with because I could tell you were being traumatized. I hated to see it. I felt so bad. No one would blame you if you couldn't finish it. I am really proud of you that you did. I remember being traumatized by The Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) when I was 15. Despite the suggestions I do not recommend this movie for you. Their are scenes in that movie, that my sisters couldn't finish. The one with Jessica Biel is ok but I still wouldn't recommend it The Exorcist is 100% scarier than this. My friends and I thought The Strangers (2008) was scarier just because it seemed a lot more realistic. IT Chapter two had Jessica Chastin in it. My friends and I thought it was just silly. I really am proud you made it through this. Again please don't try this again. I want to see you happy. Not terrified. You need a dream catcher so you don't have nightmares.

Christopher Smith
>>120939066

audio works when I play from patreon post. so maybe low res version on youtube did not get same encoder bug?

Patrick Egan
>>120939066

I tested both the inline video on this post, and the direct YT link to the full reaction, and both seemed to have audio all the way through. Could you provide a specific timecode for when the audio dropped for you, and for how long?

Robbie

You gotta watch Chapter 2 which is more comedic then scary like chapter 1 but then you will see what happens to them as they grow up.

Todzilla
>>120939066

Hey guys I just checked the discord and there were apparently two links. The embedded one worked fine but the other one lost audio. I rechecked the embedded link and it has audio all the way through. I'll have to wait until later to re watch the ending. Excited to hear the outro.

Gene Crossin

Did u ever see the original?

Jon-Henri Roman

Well done Cassie!! I could see that this movie really was difficult for you but you made it. Not many can. And an even bigger shout-out to Ben for just being there to keep you calm. But as the rest of the community has pointed out, this was only half of the overall story - Chapter 2 still awaits you for Halloween 2024 or at least until you feel you are ready to watch it.

Ike
>>120929232

Lol. I guess I meant Chapter 1 with a break in the middle to catch her breath. Carly would have needed oxygen probably.

Mario Serra

I am proud of her for watching IT chapter 1. As much as I’d love to see you react to chapter 2 or The Exorcist sometime, I totally understand if you don’t.

Larry Darrell
>>120936772

Friendly Suggestion: Might want to add some dates onto some of those. Never can be too certain.

Larry Darrell

So the Original IT VHS cover box is what created your Clown Fear... well that is what you should have watched then. It would have been the perfect Antidote. This film is one a few that actually get me to Scream Out Loud. Poltergeist is another. I'd say you made some pretty good headway this October. I'm sure many would agree, if I said, Proud of You. A film came to mind while watching this, that I thought would be perfect for Scary but Not Too Scary TM, next year. Some similar vibes, but a little more fun. Little Monsters (1989)

Zane From Canada

Congratulations on making it through October. I think this year's Halloween picks were a 50/50 split between Scary-But-Not-Too-Scary and Absolutely Terrifying. 😬 BTW I totally missed that Ben was next to you until he sneezed. 😊 It's good to have an emotional support hand that you can squeeze. 😁

Godzilla Jones

Proud of you. I've got a lot I could say about this story. I've read the novel 7 times, the first time in actual 1989 when I was 14, not much older than the Losers. Though in the book the kids are in the 50s, the adults in the 80s. The second movie isn't as good or as scary as the first one. It really flubs the ending IMO and I don't like the changes to Mike's character and backstory, but overall they're pretty solid films. Immensely fun to watch with you. Thank you.

Robbie
>>120940727

The original is okay but it’s a television film so it’s very cheaply made

rakesh

I'm not a big horror fan but I reckon you've reached the apex in terms of quality horror movies. There's are still a bunch of good movies for next year . But I think you've survived the best. There's a whole bunch of movies with multiple sequels saw, Friday 13th, Halloween etc etc where it become just repetitive gore and jump scares and I don't. Think it will serve you or the popcorn audience to see them. You've watch a great deal. File everything away for next Halloween and enjoy Tender November. You deserve it!

Robbie

Ow it’s time for you to watch the all time classic Gone With The Wind since Halloween is over

CJ Ilano

You gotta watch Chapter 2! As much as it kills us (no pun intended) to see you so uneasy in movies like these, I’m so on board with the others that are suggesting to also watch It Chapter 2. Just for the casting alone! But of course we totally understand if you don’t. Just think you’ll like it a bit more than Chapter 1.

Rick Williams

Cassie, Cassie, Cassie. This was one hard reaction for you. And yes. You made me have to watch this for the first time. But, it's okay. I saw the original. It is all about fear. It needs fear. It feeds on fear. So, don't give it fear. You have to get mad. Fear is the mind killer. So when are you watching Chapter 2? P.S. it is cheating to drag a friend in half way through. 😁 How long did it take for him to get feeling back in his hand? Good job Cassie. Now no more scary movies for a while. You need to rehab. Lots of fun movies.

Eric Wallace

The triumphant return of Ben's hand! It was a great reaction.

orangethecolour

Well done for doing this one, it is scary, I'm jumping in to watching along with this with you now, my 4/5th time watching this film, I love it!

2-Can

Nice job, Cassie. You faced your fears bravely. A lighter side horror film (we all thought it was fun back in the 80’s - and it introduced a bunch of British actors we would hear a lot from) for next year is Lair of the White Worm.

Coleton B.
>>120934983

Use the version from the Direct Link below the video thumbnail, that version has no audio interruption

Cole Jennett

I never thought I’d ever watch this again, but I felt the solidarity, so I had to. But never again, ha ha

Dave

IT's over! Bring on the rom-coms, the holiday feel-good films, the warm fuzzies and the things that bring a smile to your face! This October has been epic, Cassie. You continue to prove time and time again that you have the best channel and are the best reactor out there. You made it through a very difficult film according to your sensibilities, and you really stretched yourself to do it. Well done. Looking forward to good things to come, because I know they are just around the corner- You are the best!

Jay

Well done Cassie, I know that was tough. You are right there are wonderful story elements there and the kids are great together, but the scares and kids getting hurt is hard to take.

Steve Holton

Saw first-hand that Ben had a hand in this. Got to hand it to him, it’s handy to have a handsome fella on hand for this kind of hand-off. Because hands down, when things get heavy handed, you want to work hand in glove, so things don’t get out of hand. 😊👍

Matt Rose

Cassie, you need some Cary Grant as an antidote. Throw in THE PHILADELPHIA STORY or BRINGING UP BABY.

Powers209

You're going to have to watch chapter 2.

Robert da Spruce

FWIW I’m proud of you Cassie When I first read you were going to react to this film, I was very dubious. Not just because it’s scary. But because it involves children. Like you said though. There were moments of levity. And they definitely had a Stranger Things vibe. Which I’m guessing made it possible for you to finish the film. Though you did have to take a break 😊 I’m glad Scary, but not too scary month is over. Looking forward to some non scary movies. Have a wonderful Halloween with the family!

djKENTO

Wow you really put yourself through a panic attack for two hours. Props to you!!!

Clay F

My first time to watch this movie was just now while watching your reaction. I always wanted to watch It (2017), even though I am not a horror-movie guy. I liked your reaction. On par with your reactions to The Shining and Halloween. Now, wouldn't mind seeing you react to a couple of romance movies. You have an eagle eye for the sparks. Your reaction to Airplane! was pleasant to watch because you smiled through the entire reaction.

Ben Livingstone

I feel for you, Cassie. You have no disbelief to suspend!

Omar

My first time seeing IT also. Bravo for braving through that 👍🏽 Now, palette cleanse by watching some Try Not to Laugh compilations for about 30 minutes

Snapjaw

Whoa, brave face Popcorn

ExploreWinnipeg

This was pretty crazy to watch in theaters. Parts of this movie scare the crap out of me and I have a lot higher tolerance for horror movies then you, Cassie. Bravo for holding on. I just finished watching it with your reaction and it didn't disappoint.

ExploreWinnipeg

This would have been a perfect one for Carly :P

Gábor Árki

I never dared to watch this movie, especially after hearing that it scared people much more into horror movies than me. But if Cassie was brave enough and managed to watch it, maybe I can too? 😅 Still scared of it. 😨🫣

Brian Harris

Great job, Cassie! I’m really impressed, this is a legitimately scary movie. I actually think it’s a little scarier than The Shining. I get why you might not want to see Chapter 2, but it might go down a little easier since they’re not kids anymore. And there is some satisfaction in seeing who they grew up to be and how their relationships are the same and different. I think it’d be great if you capped off next October with Chapter 2. But you’ve got a whole year to decide.

Philip G.

Let's see what you have in store for next year since you really pushed the envelope this year

Wesley White

Well Cassie, I gotta say, I salute you and applaud you for watching this movie all the way through, you're really brave and I admire you for that! Believe it or not, this is my first time seeing this movie to! So you know what, I'm actually glad I got to share in reacting to this movie for the first time alongside you, I'm honored! I was never really scared of this movie honestly, it (pun intended) lol, just never really appealed to me, especially since I'm not a huge Stephen King fan, and I'm not the biggest horror fan either, I prefer the classic stuff from the good ole' days that might be considered tamed these days! Like I told you once, only a handful of Stephen King's work that have been adapted into film I actually like! I'll admit, I did get a good laugh out of seeing your jump scares and shock and awe facial expressions, I did, no offence lol! But, I will definetly say that throughout the whole reaction, I couldn't help but feel sorry for you, just seeing you look so terrified made me just want to give you a big hug while patting you on the shoulder saying "It's okay Cassie, it's just a movie, it's not real, don't be scared!" I even felt like I wanted to hold your hand for moral support like Ben did for you at the end! By the way, that was very sweet of him to do that for you, holding your hand to comfort you and for moral support at the end of the movie, that really touched my heart! At the same time, the tender moments that happened in this movie, I could feel it just as much as you, especially the part about Bill caring for his little brother Georgie and then he dies, that hit me too! Not to brag, but not once did I get scared throughout the movie, I usually don't scare that easily, even though POLTERGIEST scared the ever living daylights out of me when I was young, but now-a-days I can handle it better! Mostly throughout the movie, I felt humor during the funny scenes, then anger and disgust the way both the parents were treating their kids and the bullies picking on these kids, especially that punk with the mullet, I've delt with creeps like him when I was in school! Anyway, there is one movie however when I was a kid that traumatized and still scares me to this day, I'd tell you what movie it is, but I feel to embarrassed to say it on here, so I'll PM you about it later! In conclusion, this was a great reaction as always, I'm so sorry that this movie really got to you, but October is just about over, so now it's back to watching fun, entertaining, action, humorous, and awesome movies again! By the way Cassie, if I may compliment, I liked the black outfit you were wearing during the reaction, went really good with your black nail polish and made you almost look like a witch, uh-ah I mean a nice and pretty witch lol sorry🤣 Happy Halloween, love and support always, you're the best, you're the sweetest, you're awesome! [BIG virtual hug] God bless you, Carly, and your family! And as always [snaps fingers & winks] stay classy Cassie🥰😁😉😇🙏👍🌹🎃

Aaron Mann

Great reaction, Cass. Looking forward to next year's reaction of It Chapter 2. Just kidding! (But maybe not 😉)

silverarrow06

What a great reaction! I have so much respect for you moving that far out of your comfort zone. 😱🤩 If you ever can bring yourself to it, please watch "IT - Chapter II", to get closure, but I fully understand if you never do. While this movie was a coming-of-age-story with a horror clown thrown in the mix, part 2 is a highschool reunion with a horror clown thrown in the mix. Even tough both movies have very scary sequences, they work evenly good as an emotional drama. Not only the teenage actors, but their adult counterparts as well did a great job. 🙂

Steve Arnold

Oh my gosh! This time I feel really bad that poor Cassie was stressing herself that much for our entertainment.

Cole Jennett
>>120964343

Did you make this your profile before or after Regina’s ExploreRegina campaign?😂 Late night hosts had a field day with that one, lol

Pickupthepieces76

Movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie

Matthew Lange

You handled that like a champ. Chapter 2 is much funnier.

Brent Petty

Time for some comedies: City Slickers, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Other Guys.

Shakes

Hey from Australia! Really happy you did this and hopeful you’ll brave chapter 2. One thing you should know is that while IT is around it corrupts the town as a whole so the bullying and the parents were very amplified in their lack of care/abuse. The kids overcame the corruption by banding together. I know part 2 might seem daunting but at least they aren’t kids anymore so less helpless lol

Eddie Perkins

That was a great reaction. Okay, I was wrong, don't ever watch The Exorcist; there are no happy moments. I must admit there were a few times in this I thought you would tap out or pass out, but I was proud to see you stick it out. If you can make it through this, you can make it through Chapter 2; it's not nearly as scary. I love all of Stephen King's movie adaptations. I think you would like Silver Bullet (1985), starring a young Corey Haim and Gary Busey, and another not-so-scary King movie is The Dead Zone (1983), starring Christopher Walken.

Eddie Perkins
>>120931768

I think Beverly was the strongest, and that would make sense because she has been fighting something evil her whole life.

John Drake

"Kids, why did it have to be kids" channeling your inner Indiana there Cassie

Christopher Gray

Ok well clowns have always been creepy and they should give you nightmares so sorry but that is just the way it is. And as far as bullying I believe there are bullies who are that bad, but to be fair it is a Stephen King story so the bullies are expanded by at least an order of magnitude.

Rosanne Stewart

I'm actually not a horror fan at all. I get scared very easily, I find them very upsetting overall. But for some reason, I love this story. It started when I saw the old miniseries. I was able to watch it because the horror was toned down for TV broadcast. Then I read the book. And I. Was. OBSESSED. I freakin' LOVE this book. I love the friendship of the seven Losers, as kids and then as they grew to adults. I found the history of Derry (and of Pennywise) to be fascinating. Honestly, it was a full-blown obsession in my late teens. I read the book over and over, I watched my recorded VHS tape until my parents begged me to stop, I tried to make a map of Derry in a notebook based on lines from the book. I started collecting turtle figurines (still do), which won't make much sense to anyone who hasn't read the book. I really love this adaptation. The casting is brilliant, they changed a bunch of things from the book but I didn't mind them too much. I was rather annoyed at how they changed Mike's story, however. In the book he had the most stable home life of all the Losers, with two really good parents. I was disappointed they took that away from him. I also thought Bill's hair looked ridiculous. It's red in the book, just like Bev's, but they just tried to force some red streaks into this actor's brown hair and it did not look natural at all. And oh my goodness, I fell head over heels for sweet Ben. That scene where he's just staring worshipfully at Beverly as she signs his yearbook... it does things to my heart. I doubt you want to watch the extras for this but they're really good. Bill Skarsgaard, who plays Pennywise, was just amazing. They hid him completely from the child actors until his first scene with them. So that scene where Eddie is lying on the floor with a broken arm while Pennywise terrifies him has a bit of realness to it. Apparently the kid was just screaming and sobbing and as soon as they yelled CUT, Bill instantly dropped out of character and asked if he was okay. Jack (Eddie) laughed out loud and said, "That was great!" I will understand if you don't want to put yourself through the sequel, but I do selfishly hope you watch it. It completes the story. It's fascinating to watch these kids all grown up and how they fall into their old roles as they interact as adults.

Anjolie Lanel

This was a lot scarier than I remember. Thanks for watching along with me. I don’t think I could have done this alone. Now I’m going to watch something fun before I go to bed

Uncle Phoenix
>>121130833

I never would have watched this movie if Cass hadn’t had the courage to lead us “into" and “through" our fears. It was a great story, and I never would have enjoyed it without the PIB team. (Thanks, Ben)

Uncle Phoenix
>>121047195

And definitely think that post October is a great time for Rewatching some old favorites.

Joe M

I wasn’t kidding Cassie when said I would unsubscribe if you didn’t finish IT. Glad you stuck it out and went the distance. I’m very proud of you 👍 👍. Now, if you want to go a step farther watch the original IT from 1990. But you can save it for next October.

silverarrow06
>>121103483

It's funny, how different perceptions can be. 🤔 I always found part two scarier than part 1. Sure, mainly thanx to the marvelous Bill Hader, this movie has more fun and moving moments in it. At the same time, the scary or violent sequences are nudged up some levels, especially the "real" ones. I don't want to say more, because I don't want to spoil anything, but I am pretty sure, you know which scenes I'm referring to. 🙂

JohnnyUtah

Honestly, seeing a number of your reactions, I didn't think you were gonna finish. Talk about putting yourself out there and showing vulnerability. Top marks!

Joe
>>121466466

youre a giant geek. think she gives a flyin fuck if you unsubscribe. rethink your life

This movie isn’t “Scary but not too scary.” It’s just really freaking scary.

Kyle
>>121466466

Really, you replied quickly to me. 11 months or not doesn’t make you less dumb or whiney. Believe it or not, this grown woman’s life isn’t gonna collapse cos you specifically throw a bitch fit and unsubscribe.

Nick Thousan

I hope the sequel is coming this month.

Don

You need to do Part 2..
