QUICK 8 HOUR POLL

I'm going to watch one more Star Trek TOS episode (i'm starting to really like these guys) I already watched Space Seed!

From the comments, these were the most suggested episodes (didn't include menagerie because it is a 2 parter)

It ends tonight in 8 hours!

Comments

Just Plain Bob

Trouble With Tribbles is the most overrated episode in the entire original series.

Steven Perez

All of those are top shelf, so I went with BALANCE OF TERROR, which is about as Cold War as the show gets.

Mike LL

Well this is going to be a slam dunk poll! 🤣

Brian McGovern

Didn't the trouble with Trimble's inspire the creation of Gremlins?

Danny (Icarus)

You can't go wrong with any of them, but my choice was The Doomsday Machine, hope you'll react to more episodes !👍

Walter Crockett

I think you will love 💕 the Tribbles Episode…but Domesday Machine is my Favorite so it’s hard to vote for anything else. Also Thank you so much for watching these.

aarswft

Balance of Terror being overlooked is really doing a disservice to a potential Strange New Worlds watch.

Neill Shaughness

Balance of Terror is one of my all time favorites in all of Star Trek, but if I can't have that I'm glad Tribbles is winning. That's a fun one with lots of charm.

djKENTO

Doomsday Machine is a nice precursor to the first movie, Star Trek The Motion Picture. But Trouble with Tribbles is a classic and Tribbles are a running joke in Star Trek series and movies.

Robert Jewell

One more?! I don't recall the first polls?.

Lance Li

Doomsday Machine is one of the most essential star trek social commentaries. It’s one of the more mature episodes. Tribbles was too dull imo, overrated for the kind of humor also found in tons of other great episodes.

Kat Farlowe

Tribbles is cute. Doomsday is Star Trek at it's best. That and City on the Edge of Forever.

Aaron Peck

Only one? You've gotta go with Balance of Terror. It lays the foundation for so much that's to come in the franchise.

John Armbruster

Tough to choose from. I think the Trouble with Tribbles will by far be the most popular, because people love the humor. I think the Doomsday Machine is a much better character study of the principles, however, because of the drama and because of William Windom's amazing guest star turn. His character is a perfect foil for the main cast, and has just the best arc. I would watch them both but with TDM first and TTWT second. And Balance of Terror is just a good solid episode, don't miss it either.

Kat Farlowe
>>123411503

I agree. It is cute, but no where near one of the best. I loved it as a kid, but now it is just a little silly.

Stevan Carter

Doomsday is the best episode, but The Tribbles is more Cassie friendly 👍

Celeste McAllister

Cassie🌹,are you picking up on the 'Big Bang Theory' ST references? The 'Doomsday Machine' vs. 'The Death Star' That would be a great fan based video.🔥🔥🔥

Robin Craft

The Trouble with Tribbles is a must. Easily one of the most popular episodes.... lots of fun.

Godzilla Jones

So many important episodes, only one choice

MatthewBrown74m

I've always been a Star Wars guy. But I will always love the crew of the enterprise of star trek just there loyalty and friendship alone

David Freese
>>123411747

There wasn’t any poll for the first episodes. She saw what people were suggesting and used a small group of advisers to pick the first 2 plus Space Seed.

Michael Enos

I want to offer.. if you decide to circle back and watch more Trek.. I recommend Mudd's Women and I, Mudd. They are entertaining episodes and we are introduced to one of the more memorable antagonists in the series.

Greg Macon

Sensors indicate a new fan! :D

Bubba Fett

Man a tough call, tribbles is so great, but balance is awesome with its basis for the future not to mention a critical actor

Just Plain Bob
>>123411747

I think she’s referring to “one more episode” not “one more poll.” She originally intended to only watch three episodes.

JC762

Is the Tribbles episode the best choice to accomplish the goal of gaining a base understanding of the Star Trek universe, learning important characters, rivalries, and the events needed to better enjoy and understand the movies?

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

If you're going to start reacting to TV Sci Fi, I really recommend you watch one or two episodes of the BBC Sci Fi sitcom Red Dwarf. It's not a perfect sitcom (series 8 is dreadful!) but if you pick almost any episode from series 3, 5 or 6, there's some really inspired, clever, original, funny episodes. Actor Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard) himself is a fan of the show and has said "I think what makes this show so appealing, is that it makes a mock of the sci fi show I was doing. I sometimes wish we had some of that same wild, ironic humour in Star Trek The Next Generation" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKw6Z0CCNtY

Celeste McAllister

Will it be the top 2 episodes?..Since you're looking at late 60's TV..How about 'The Brady Bunch' 1969-74..It's Groovy! 🔥😂😭

rakesh

Tribbles. I think (hopefully!) that Cassie might look at other ST series down the line and Tribbles is a great one because of the callbacks to the DS9 special 30th anniversary EP The Trouble with Tribbles, Of Course: Mirror Mirror is as well with ENT and DISCO, but its one pick and Tribbles is a fun ep. Tribble Tender November. Shatner loved them so much he's worn one since every day.

jdj830

I have to assume that City on the Edge of Forever has already been accounted for. Tribbles is silly but I don’t think it’s terrible that it will win. But really you need to see all of these episodes.

Jeffrey Schmidbauer

Cassie, I'm hoping you can fit in "The Doomsday Machine" too. It is a thrill ride!

Grad

If you feel content after watching only three episodes - great. Follow your inspiration (or lack thereof!). But I hope you don't limit yourself just because someone else told you to put a cap on the number of episodes. In my opinion - and I have seen others make the same comment - the series is actually a bigger deal than the movies. As far as Star Trek goes, this is about as good as it gets.

Nicole
>>123413632

I believe she is watching them all at her leisure but reacting to a certain few for the channel

Stick Figure Studios

I'd be fine with any of those episodes, but I'm voting for the Tribbles.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

I am sorry I can't vote because I know absolutely nothing about Star Trek. The series especially. Just not my cup of tea. Godspeed Cassie. You and Carly are definitely some of my favorite people.

Bryan Fritchie

From this list it has to be trouble with tribbles. I'd be interested in seeing more than just a couple of episodes, though. 🙂

Celeste McAllister

Cassie,if the theme for the 'Doomsday Machine' sounds a bit like the 'Jaws' theme it may not be a coincidence,a young John Williams freelanced writing music for TV shows,'DesiLu' studios (Lucille Ball & Desi Arnez) produced Star Trek...

rakesh
>>123412677

She's got a base understanding; the movies shouldn't require prior knowledge beyond basic pop culture. It would have defeated the purpose of getting a wider audience not familiar with it.

Caomhan84

If she's only going to watch one more then it's got to be the trouble with Tribbles. Let it be a comedic episode.

JC762
>>123412677

Maybe, and I don’t really care. I’m not one of the Star Trek people, i’m only going off what she said was her purpose in hand selecting a very few number of episodes, so that she could get the most possible to prepare for the other stuff. So just posing the question.

Jeff Webb

Tribbles is the best, but Balance of Terror will provide the most context for ST09.

Jeff Webb

Also let's get City on the Edge of Forever on the list

Steve Slayman

In February I think you should do a week of Olympic movies like Miracle, Eddie the Eagle and Cool Runnings.

Thomas Thompson

The idea that you boil the entire series down to three episodes is kind of a joke. I think there were 29 episodes in the first season alone. And that’s not including the cage the original unaired pilot.

deskmerc

If there's any other episode I would recommend that is not on this list, it would be "Journey to Babel", as it features, well, Spock's parents, without giving too much away.

Celeste McAllister
>>123411828

By recommendation I watched S3E23 'All Our Yesterday's' the Human/Vulcan zio interactions was a case in.. oops, sorry no spoilers! 🔥🔥❤

Steve Holton
>>123415527

Jeff, you are in luck. She has already reacted to City On The Edge Of Forever and Amok Time. They are available on Patreon now and on YouTube soon.

Anjolie Lanel

There’s a lot of good episodes that it’s really hard to pick actually. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the ones you do finally pick! Have fun!

Silver Machine

I’m voting for Balance of Terror, but all four are solid choices. I really enjoyed the reactions to City on the Edge & Amok Time. Hoping you’ll leave the door open to watching some more episodes in the future.

Just Plain Bob
>>123416736

I also voted for Balance of Terror. I feel it’s both the best episode and the one that would best inform her viewing of future Star Trek movies and episodes (Next Generation, etc). That said, I’m mostly just glad she’s watching some episodes and gonna watch the movie series (hopefully, all six with the original cast).

Jeff Webb
>>123415527

Oh good, I hadn't been tracking closely. I figured Amok Time was top three.

Shawn Kildal

Voted for Doomsday Machine but looks like Tribbles is going to run away with it. I expect that though. Happy we got another good episode in.

Ike

I dunno - who’s your favorite child, Cassie? LOL 🤔. ………Trouble with Tribbles (but bless you for doing one more)

Celeste McAllister
>>123412318

Were Klingon's based on the Soviets,Romulans on Red China and the Vulcan's based on Korea & Japan? Circa 1966-69?

Shawn Kildal

Who knows, maybe after the movies and she gets even more invested with the characters, Cassie may want to revisit a few more episodes? Either way, glad we're finally here.

Jennifer Medicus

I know tribbles is standalone and not needed for context of the movies, but it was always the favorite in my family.

Shawn Kildal
>>123411503

I would have loved to see Mirror, Mirror on the poll. Partially just to see how it would fair.

Jon Johns
>>123417610

Shawn, you've been here long enough to know, the *real* poll is here in the comments, where Cassie is convinced of things from our comments. Pitch your pitch, make your shot. Why doomsday machine?

Just Plain Bob
>>123411503

@Shawn Kildal Mirror, Mirror is a great episode. More than any of the ones on this list, I believe it provides the best insight into the Kirk/Spock friendship. I prefer Balance of Terror as an episode, but Mirror, Mirror is great.

Bill W
>>123415641

How about she watches ZERO episodes? Would you prefer that?

Todzilla

Knowing Cassie will have watched a total of 4 TOS episodes and then will watch The Motion Picture, I'm good. If she can watch the second place to this poll, that's icing on the cake. My biggest worry was Cassie not making a connection to the characters. 4 episodes should be good before the Motion Picture but of she hits FIVE TOS episodes, all the better when she gets to the movies.

Shawn Kildal
>>123417610

I strongly agree, but I've already passed along to Cassie a detailed episode list to Cassie expressing my opinions on them.

Daniel Goldberg

That is a tough choice. I’m sure Tribbles will win as it’s the most fun, lighthearted episode, but every episode in the poll is among the best. You wouldn’t go wrong to watch all of them.

Jason Fulbright

I'm only picking Balance because of you do STRANGE NEW WORLDS, well, you'll see.

Shawn Kildal
>>123417610

I did forget to mention to her though the family connection between Doomsday Machine and the first Star Trek movie.

3dbadboy1

My favorite was Doomsday but you won't go wrong with any of these.

Just Plain Bob
>>123413389

Good news! Cassie has already watched and reacted to City on the Edge of Forever, as well as Amok Time.

Doug Cook

No question...Tribble all the way

Jesus F Christ

Also using my vote for Balance of Terror. Tribbles looks like the runaway winner, so if she decides to do a second place one, I'd add BoT. All 4 are good choices in their own way. Tribbles has comedy elements, Doomsday Machine has more starfleet and spaceship stuff, Balance of Terror is like a sneaky submarine movie with some good reveals that influence the entire franchise, and A Taste of Armageddon is a thinker with a moral dilemma, which became a hallmark Star Trek is known for. You do you Cassie, but they're all superb episodes.

Just Plain Bob
>>123412226

Indeed. Speaking as a fan of the series, it’s tempting to proclaim that EVERY episode is must see. So, I will. EVERY EPISODE OF STAR TREK OS IS A MUST SEE! But, seriously, as a fan of Star Trek AND a fan of Cassie’s great reactions, I’m just sooooo glad to see the two come together.

softshoes
>>123417610

I voted for Doomsday fully knowing Tribbles will win. Sometimes you just have to fight because it's right. Cass will enjoy Tribbles....sigh.

Steven M.

I may be a little off track, but if viewing certain TV episodes is a lead in to seeing TOS movies, tge the episode "Space Seed" is an italicized, underlined Must See before watching the 2nd movie in the series

Shawn Kildal
>>123411923

Plus I think it has one of the greatest scenes in the entire series. Kirk on his communicator "Where's Spock?" scene

Joe

One more episode Cassie, just one more (haha).

Cole Jennett
>>123422353

If you read her post, she said she just watched Space Seed. I assume the winner of the poll, along with it will be released as a package deal here on Patreon

Steven M.
>>123422353

Thanks for filling me in; viewing on my phone l can see Cassie's post in two different sizes; l sort of slipped past the Larger one that trailed off the screen. Usually l am more on top of the goings on at PiB, but have been seriously distracted lately 😎

Art of Free Speech

What incredibly bizarre choices!?! Balance of Terror was one of those episodes that, when my brother and I saw it come on, would just go do something else. Trouble with Tribbles is a classic, not my favorite, but I can see why it's here. Doomsday Machine is another of those my brother and I would just skip. Taste of Armageddon is just a brilliant episode with brilliant social commentary, so of course it's last in the voting. Still, no "Piece of the Action" or "Bread and Circuses" or "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield"??? I suppose it just goes to show how different people's tastes are when it comes to the individual episodes. I'll vote for Taste of Armageddon over Trouble with Tribbles so I can continue my streak of voting for things that don't win.

Jesus F Christ
>>123412318

@Celeste McAllistar - That's how I always took it. With the United Federation of Planets as the UN, and Starfleet as NATO. It doesn't really follow that way on The Next Generation, but Deep Space Nine was heavily influenced by the fall of the Berlin Wall, the breakup of Soviet aligned Warsaw Pact countries, and specifically the Bosnian War in the former Yugoslavia. That civil war between Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia had terrible atrocities and ethnic genocide, and was only stopped when the UN and NATO sent in international forces to act as peacekeepers, later leading to the Dayton Accords that ended the conflict. A lot of that is reflected in DS9 storylines of Bajoran terrorists/freedom fighters, Cardassian occupiers/war criminals, and the Federation taking over the neutral ground of Deep Space Nine to keep the peace. You could look at the wormhole as the opening up of former communist economies to the capitalist west, but that might be over reaching.

Philip Alan

I'm pretty sure it's been stated before, but the Halloween mask is a William Shatner/Capt Kirk mask. So if you look long enough and blur the eyes a bit, you can see Michael Myers in there. I laugh every time!

Stan the Man

Jesus. Balance of Terror needs to be watched over trouble with the Tribbles. That and doomsday machine are two of the best episodes.

james flack

The trick to enticing young audiences to watch a Sci-Fi series that is almost 60 years old, is to put the best episodes out there first, then as they get comfortable with the characters and the plots, then and only then, introduce the not so popular ones. CGI is a modern-day obstacle that only great acting and exceptional story writing can overcome. Just sayin'....(Tribbles for me)

Jesus F Christ
>>123425212

Cassie is watching the remastered episodes on Paramount+, so some of the sfx hurdles have been helped.

Larry Dennis

Hi Cassie! I just wanted to echo some of the other opinions here that BOTH Balance of Terror and The Doomsday Machine have to be watched/reacted to. Maybe you can squeeze a mini "Serious SciFi that Happens to be Star Trek TOS". Both of these episodes are some of the best representatives of 60's television reflecting the culture of that time. I would also love to see Carly's. Reaction as well... 😉🤞

Jay Davis

As good as tribbles is (are, were, moose?), I'ma vote Balance of Terror here because it introduces both a key technology and an important actor that appear again and play pivotal roles for what's to come.

Ike
>>123419553

I voted Tribbles, but I wonder what other Trek fans think of “A Piece of the Action.” (it’s in my Top 5 ToS list)

Wes
>>123422353

I believe she has already committed to watching Space Seed next. This poll is for an extra episode beyond that one

Walter Crockett

If you decide to do two more episodes after you watch The trouble with tribbles, i recommend that you watch the two runners up from this poll. I think they both show more of the action adventure side of TOS.

Shawn Kildal
>>123429811

Journey to Babel would be better to get acquainted with the actor though since he continues to to play the same character in the movies.

Alan Kobb

It always sucks when your favorite is in third place. I have mixed feelings. Of course it will be fun watching Cassie react to tribbles, but Balance of Terror is just great television. A real edge-of-your-seat experience! I'd be interested in hearing her reaction to that.

Dean Holt

Not surprised the Tribbles episode is winning as it is a fun episode. But I thought Balance of Terror would have be a clear runner up as I didn’t think Doomsday Machine was that great tbh but it is personal opinion I suppose. But can’t wait for you to get into the movies.

Dean Holt
>>123436828

Yeah, Balance of Terror is on of my favourites as well. But I’m not surprised the Tribbles episode is winning. It is a fun watch but it’s not really giving her any info for the movies.

Tim Foppiano

Each of these are great choices as you know. The Leading one is a favorite for sure. However, if you want to really understand what started it all, the pilot must be watched. I was 9 -10 when this premiered. And you can see why child and parent bonded, it was always anti conflict (war) in its message. And most of us kids were children of WW2 and Korean War vets. Two of the other episodes listed here directly relate to this message!

MertzRocks

Okay so I want The Doomsday Machine but of COURSE "those fuzzy THINGS..." have to go n spoil EVERYTHING. Well maybe after that (because we all know she'll enjoy it!) you will be ready for more and the two best eps on this list: Doomsday and Terror. Wow, that doesn't sound so great when I put it like that lol (but they both are). I wish you success! Qapla'!

Tim Foppiano

Also the cost of production was considered slightly prohibitive and was facing a difficult pick up, and cancellation after it was. Lucille Ball, and her studio Desi - Lu stepped in and saved it! Also Gene Roddenberry was a WW2 combat pilot, and wonderful sci-fi writer. He was NOT pro war! He knew what a combat military leader needed as qualities etc… as well as what crew, trust and friendship qualities should exist. There’s always a backstory, and Lucille Ball an accomplished business person, and Roddenberry, his Star Trek vision, to date, spell out their genius. Just my thoughts!

Timothy Williams

Watch more in the future, there are dozens of really good one. Slowly you could watch them all.

Sean

Star Trek Discovery is now the best trek show around.

John Liebling

Interesting that I feel Discovery is the worst trek ever made and the current best is Strange New Worlds. Tribbles is not, nor has it ever been good star trek. This coming from a dude who has read hundreds of star trek novels and seen all the TV and films. But I'm glad Cassie will be watching 3 episodes before it. Cassie the most extreme Klingons are depicted in Discovery and no ridges will be depicted in Tribbles. There is also a discrepancy in what is depicted in the movies of the 80s and 90s and what we saw on TV. I believe one reason why Cassie wanted to take a look at some early Star Trek, is not just because of Galaxy Quest, I think she is planning at some future point to watch the JJ Abrams films. I strongly suggest before you watch the second Star Trek film with Cumberbatch...aka Doctor Strange, you first look at the 1982 Wrath of Khan...especially after you're done with Space Seed.

thansen
>>123445406

You actually like Strange New Worlds? I had to stop watching it, it was so ridiculous.

David Collins

I really liked Trouble with Tribbles, and Cassie is going to enjoy it, but Balance of Terror is a much better representative episode of TOS so I voted for it.

T J

Can't we have the top three?? PLEASE???? Those are so good and provide a great snapshot of what TOS is all about.

John Liebling

Yes thansen. Its a hell of a lot better compared to Discovery. The only episodes of Discovery which were tolerable are the ones with Captain Pike. Discovery is a triple threat. Horrible acting, writing, and directing.

Shawn Kildal

How great would it be if we did get the top 3 in the poll plus add Mirror, Mirror and Journey to Babel. But at the very least we got 4 episodes and I'm good with it.

James Sweeney

To be honest, I wanted to pick the others, but I know she would really like The Tribble episode.....sigh..... I hope she appreciates how much we love her.....lol

DAVID COSTELLO

The Trouble With Tribbles is good, just not as relevant as A Taste of Armageddon

Arki Kali
>>123445406

To each his own. There's a reason Trekkies can debate which show is better for hours. Personally, my husband and I love Strange New Worlds.

BRT

Unlike some of the elites who apparently know what the most relevant Trek episodes are, i think Tribbles is a great episode for someone like Cassie who is just getting into it. She says she's liking them so it would be better to hope and encourage that she will do more, rather than diparaging the choices and which is most popular in the polls. I'm not even seeing the majority of my faves mentioned in the comments but I'm not whining about it.

MertzRocks

Cassie, I've already thrown in two Centauri Ducats but have two more to throw. All of those on the list are good episodes, and Cassie, I think you would like any or all of them. Now I will toast to your good health with some well-aged, well-done Spoo, and a bottle of the finest Brivari.

Celeste McAllister
>>123413030

You're right and I don't want your brain tossing cookies all over,no Brady Bunch I'll toss in 'I Love Lucy' 1951 instead❤

John Liebling

James Sweeney - I don't think she is going to like Tribbles - it isn't a very good representation of Star Trek after Space Seed, she'll have reacted to three episodes, sure there is some humor in Tribbles but there is humor in almost all episodes. And my opinion is that we shouldn't vote for what we think Cassie will like, she's already broadened her film palette considerable. Reacting to movies she never thought she'd like. Other than crass humor which is not her cup of tea and extreme gory violence I think Cassie is at this point open to almost anything. That is one reason I've suggested various musicals. They have romance and happy endings. I am hopeful some time in 2024 she'll try a few. Even if I'm wrong and Cassie politely tells us she's just into those kinds of musicals, at least she tried. This is a very open and for the most part caring community. Not just for Cassie and Carly, but the rest of us. I think it would also be fun to watch actors when they are very young and also at the end of their careers. And also, a lot more reaction to classic movies from the 30s, 40s, and 50s.

John Liebling

I think it would also be fun for Carly and Cassie to react to a few of the Star Trek Next Generation and Voyager.

Andrew Hogan

Way late to this discussion, but unfortunately the negativity is already starting. As much as I believe that to truly become everything Trek, you should start with the first episode and of TOS and watch all the way through until the last episode of Enterprise, it’s a huge undertaking. If you watched every episode of every show plus the movies, I believe it around 620 episodes, give or take plus 10 movies which is about 480 hours give or take. Perhaps it would be best for future shows, however long this might last, to pick a top 5 or 10 from each season for viewing, maybe 5 for all, another 5 as Patreon exclusives and then she can watch the others in her free time (which isn’t much), so as not to miss out on anything by hardcore trek fans. My suggestion, take it or leave it.

D.M. Lipkin

A long time ago, Cassie asked for another series that would give her Firefly vibes. I wasn't a patron at the time, so I couldn't chime in. But now I am, so I've got my suggestion. Farscape. It's a different subset of sci-fi (space opera instead of space western), but it's still a ragtag bunch of outlaws with a sense of humor.

DAVID COSTELLO
>>123466175

Maybe you're right. If the tribbles get people to watch all the great episodes, I'm for it.

John Liebling

BRT you think someone who started watching Star Trek when they were 8, in 1966 and read over a 100 ST novels knows which episodes are good, great, or stinko...of course this is everyone's opinion - you don't have to call me or anyone else an elite, my opinion is just as valuable as yours. And this is Cassie's platform, and she's doing a great job with it, and will proceed how she wants to. But like everyone else, I've given my two cents. I'm not going to give spoilers, because I believe at some future point Cassie will want to react to some ST movies. Most people who enjoy Star Trek did not like Cumberbatch taking the Khan role. Even those he is a very good actor and does a good job playing Dr. Strange.

John Liebling

I agree Farscape would be an interesting watch. Especially the early seasons are very creative.

John Liebling

Cassie liked Grumpy Old Men...I suggested movies Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthew were in together, earlier in their career.

John Liebling

Andrew I am a trek fan, but many are not. I feel it would be great if Cassie could select 5-10 of the best from the original ST, The Next Generation, and Voyager. Also, we all know most of the movies are mediocre at best. Wrath of Khan, the second flick is very good. Next Generation's First Contact would be a good watch for Cassie. I like Farscape, but felt the last three Star Wars, by the same guy who directed the first two ST with Chris Pine were a huge disaster. Star Trek and Star Wars are fine...I'd prefer Cassie give the old classics more of a look...Westerns, Musicals, Comedies...

Craig Russell

St Tosepi?? I thought that was an imported beer!

James Sweeney
>>123411503

I wouldn't say that. It doesn't have the heavy drama with the great acting that we love from this series, like the episode "Miri" for example and I do agree with that. But there is a lightheartedness throughout this whole episode that you don't find in any other that is really great. And it was done fantastically. You have Kirk dealing with this egged on somewhat inept Mr. Baris, a great fight scene that's totally fun not scary with a hilarious beginning, Kirks very funny interrogation where Scotty admits to fighting (against orders not to) because they insulted the ship not him, Kirk sitting under the storage compartment being pelted with Tribbles and his reaction with each one that bounces off of him during the whole scene of finding them there and several others. This is not my favorite episode by far, but it's a good one and I though she would've liked it (probably more than us...lol)

Hat

Trouble with Tribbles isn't a good episode. Balance of Terror or The Doomsday Machine were far better.

James Matthews
>>126169554

Oh yes, they were really great episodes, two of my favorites, but a lot of people really did like "The Trouble with Tribbles". "Mudd's Women" was a good one, and "The Conscience of the King", also very good.

I'd have hoped by seeing TNG, you'd have given up on ST TOS as the campy mess it always was. How many times can you watch Kirk jump across the screen to tackle some alien or hook up with a green or blue chick? He had to have created at least 3 or 4 alien/human hybrids by now.
