Comments

John

Happy new year, Cassie!

Wes

2024 let’s go!

Doc Larry

Happy New Year to you and your family

Mikey Mike

2024, Let's do this!

William Bryan

Cherish the time with your parents. 😌😌

Tim Raths

Lol, Brendan Fraser is not in Dazed and Confused.

Planner

Kill Bill is really just one long movie over 2 volumes, just a heads up. If you watch the first volume you'll probably want to watch the second either in the same sitting or right after. There is a Tarantino /edit/ where it's just one movie, but it isn't available anywhere ("Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair"). Edit: These are always so fun 😀 So... Contact will win? Both because you said it was your pick, but also because it's the highest rated? Not going to lie, I kind of want all of them 😂

mikethemotormouth

Brendan is NOT in Dazed and Confused. Not sure if you're thinking of Bedazzled or something else or someone else, maybe Ben Affleck...

Patrick Gibbs

😂 Dazed and Confused is not a Brenden Frazier flick 😄

AC5555

Excited for what awaits in 2024! I’m especially looking forward to Shop Around the Corner as I’ve been sorely missing seeing your stream of reactions to older films. Hope we get a lot more old films in the weeks to come.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

You should have a Cassie poll. Have your favorite movies, In a poll like Fried Green Tomatoes I know is at the top of your list, which it should be, or one of the six Sharon Tate movies???? JK but seriously what would have been her 81st birthday is January 24th.

Mike LL

Grosse Point Blank is on my list of 5 should I ever (will never happen) win the trivia contest. I had heart palpatations when she read that title! Sincerely hoping that Kill Bill gets killed in the poll. (Not a huge Tarantino fan, and don't really understand the enthusiasm for the Bill movies.)

Philip G.

Uncle buck let's gooo!

Todzilla

Knowing this crowd, it will probably be "Kill Bill" 😑 But I'm hoping 🙏 for Bill & Ted!! It is LONG overdue for the PiB channel!

Kuskesh Haramzadeh

All good movies. You're going to be pleased with any of them.

Bert Towle

A fun assortment. I'm very interested to see how the voting turns out.

Jason Fulbright

Look at you calling out directors and actors. You got most right too!

Jason Fulbright

So it sounds like you should just go ahead and put CONTACT and PLEASANTVILLE on your schedule and give us DAZED.

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

Happy new year to you and your family Cassie. This is only a suggestion, but later in the year, could we do a poll of one famous acclaimed director (e.g. Hitchcock, David Lean, Orson Welles) and vote to choose one film out of that acclaimed director's filmography. Just a suggestion! Only a suggestion!

Brian McGovern

Kill Bill should not win because you really need to see volume 2 at the same time. Cannot vote for Dazed and Confused or Gross Point Blank as never seen either of those. I think you would both love city slickers, and Uncle Buck. Contact, I LO e but feel it will not be a popular vote. Pleasantville you will both love. Bill and Ted will probably figure strongly. I think it will be between Bill and Ted and city slickers.

Katie Jackson

OMG! I've been trying to get you to watch Pleasantville for about 2 years now! Hope that one wins

Ronny Boss

I'm rooting for contact because that's also what I want and it's a flippin fantastic film

Tara

Isn’t Matthew McConaughey in Dazed and Confused. Cassie, you have never seen Keanu like in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure as Ted Theadore Logan. It was one of his first movies and his big break and he’s so adorable as always!!

Celeste McAllister

With such a loaded list as this one, let's do top 3 make a week of it!🎉💋

Mike H

Aaach! This poll is darn near impossible! They're ALL great 👍

ENC SW DV Rush

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure simply because it shows Keanu early on - some of the others are ok - Kill Bill is really a two part story. I agree with Brian McG that you would also enjoy Uncle Buck and City Slickers.

Mike Lemon

Great (/s), a bunch more movies everybody has reacted too, but there are a couple in there that don't get much attention. Will variety or sameness win out? Let's see.

I love Contact. It's in my top 10 of all time. I think Cassie would love it. So hopefully it'll get on the schedule soon whatever wins the poll!

Jerrod Acree

So many good ones one this list! City Slickers (my father’s favorite so it’s personal to me) Contact, Pleasantvill (amazing concept), Alright! Alright! Alright!

RogueStateAgent

Id start with Dazed and Confused “alfight alright alright!”

Dan M

Happy New Year Cassie and PIB! Yikes, another tough poll! I was going with Uncle Buck all the way until you picked Pleasantville. I love both movies, and I think you definitely will as well, Cassie. I may have to leave my vote to chance and roll a die. Either way I’m ready to begin 2024 on a high note!

Paul Murphy

Once again no Fritz the Cat! I can't believe it...lol.

shireknight

Happy New Year Cassie. I'm very new so don't know how things work yet, but how do you submit films to be added to the film list please? I would like to submit Zulu, Watership Down (1978) Airplane II and Austin Powers II (The spy who shagged me) please 🙂

There’s a web site, popcornrequests.com so you can go there and log in through Patreon to suggest and upvote.

Alex Ch

I think maybe Jason London looks a bit like a young Brendan Fraser in Dazed and Confused.

Hankster

Uncle Buck is so much fun, Cassie would really enjoy watching John Candy

Eddie Perkins

I fell asleep early myself. I would pick Uncle Buck. It's so cute. And Dazed and Confused, it also has such a great soundtrack. I can't watch Kill Bill again; I think I've watched it three times on three patrons this month.

John Armbruster

Contact and especially Pleasantville, those are two I've been dying for you to do!

Uncle Phoenix

Happy New Year. So happy everyone is feeling better.

Omar

Happy to hear everyone is healthy again! Happy New Year to you and the fam!

Thomas Thompson

I wouldn’t ever wish you to be less successful on Patreon or YouTube but might I suggest that maybe once a month you sacrifice some viewership to post one classic film classic film might be a Hollywood film from the silent era up through the 1970s maybe an early documentary or foreign film it might be Italian new wave cinema or the French new wave. Maybe Powell and Pressburger or the Czechoslovakian spring or there are many great classic Japanese films that you won’t find interesting as well just a random thought

Thomas Thompson

The legendary comedies from Ealing studios are also not to be missed along with the angry young man, movement and kitchen sink realism

Thomas Thompson

I’m sorry I can’t leave out the legendary Jacques Tati as well as the German surrealist of the 1920s and early 30s

Jed Logan

This should be a great poll. Happy New Year!!!

Mark Vaderr

Very Happy to see you all bright eyed and bushy tailed, Cassie! These poll picks are fun.

Ike

Happy New Year, Cassie! (I was asleep by 9pm, lol) I hope for a fantastic, illness free 2024 for you and yours. 👍

Wesley White

Glad you had a good New Years Eve Cassie, I worked both Eve and Day today lol! Ugh, as much as I love Christmas, but I'm glad the Holidays are over lol! Those are some good poll picks Cassie, I'll be sure to put in my votes lol! Glad to hear you and the family is doing well and feeling healthy and refreshed! If I may compliment, you look very pretty Cassie lol😊 Love and support and Happy New Year to you, Carly and the family🥰😁😉😇🙏🎉🌹👍

YodatheHobbit

Really good group of movies other than one which I think is overrated(maybe a bit toxic?) and another that I don't even remember the plot of. Maybe I never saw it and was too young to appreciate. Doesn't matter though, I'm mostly confident one of the ones I like a lot will win. 😁

Naryma

Happy 2024! (Even though the number is based on calculations from a monk in the early Middle Ages whom counted the regent periods of Roman Emperors back - and famously miscounted by 4). I was working at midnight so was awake and found it fascinating how much money people were ready to literally blow up in smoke considering everyone is whining bout inflation^^ As usual it was more dangerous to stand at a window in Naples then in the Gaza Strip. Kill Bill will most likely win as its by far the most well known and people will vote on it just because of that. Not my type of movie - personally I dont like revenge plots too much.

Richard Maurer

Mostly good picks. A few I don't care about, but nothing I hate.

Jimmy Reyes

Happy New Year and its good to hear your children and husband are in good health.

George G

Great picks! Just curious, how were these 50 movies determined? Is it the top 50 from the online suggestion form? Or from comments?

RandyCC

Don't want to hijack the discussion of the poll and 50 movies, but will also use it to create an opportunity to toss in a list of movies that are some of my favorites and hope that some or all become titles that Cassie (and as she is interested, Carly) react to. I hope that other members upvote the list or specific titles if they agree: (list 1st half:) 2001: A Space Odyssey A League of Their Own Beverly Hills Cop Big Night Blazing Saddles Caddyshack Cars Dr. Strangelove Hugo L.A.Story O Brother, Where Art Thou?

RandyCC

(list 2nd half:) The Blues Brothers The Day the Earth Stood Still The Dish The Freshman The Hustler The Martian The Verdict Three Days of the Condor U-571 Wall.E Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Mario
>>126005064

From the online suggestion form. The form is essentially a poll, on a much larger scale, which is how the movies are ranked (the more times a movie is suggested, the higher up the ranks it goes).

George G
>>126005064

Thanks! I just came across her most requested movies list in her FAQ section.

George G

Failsafe, Miracle, Midway(either movie) , ditto on Caddyshack, A League of Their own, Blazing saddles, The Hustler, and Dr Strangelove(the funnier sister movie to the darker Failsafe)

Greggory Shaw

Gross Point Blank the best, everyone right!
