Patreon declined payments, any feedback? (Patreon)

Along with the other NSFW developers, I'm wondering how declined payments work with Patreon, because it's not the same amount for everyone.

In my case, about 10-20% of the support ends up being declined every 1st of the month, which seems pretty high.

Can anyone give me their feedback on this? Does Patreon give you a reason why this happens?

I have this problem, the card is perfectly fine, but the payment gets declined. I contacted my card issuer and after a lot of chit chat they said it's because Patreon payment get flagged as suspicious, usually if I retry it works

Unfortunately, there's no way to solve this beyond asking people to Venmo you directly... All banks banks use a risk factor on whether to decline payments or not. It depends on whatever Patreon transactions are coded as when they're run through the merchant. In this case they're being flagged high risk, so they automatically reject the transaction. I imagine it's for this reason that only fans almost got rid of their porn.
