My dear friend Elia B had the idea of turning me into a Mata Hari and we ended up published in OUI Magazine. As you noticed... I love to write, not for the style but to be able to share visions and question a bit each of us while getting lost or being trapped into our daily routine and duty in this crazy society.
Stylisme made by the amazing Véronique Droulez with antiquities.
(French version at the end.)

One evening, a theater, an inspiration, a name that calls out, MATA HARI, a flow of sensation flows at the mention of this name.
Visions of spies, high-ranking officers, smoky leaf stripping and war.
But what war?
A war for freedom amid games of domination and power.
I knew his name and the photos that ignited his time.
Curiously, I found some similarities with her so I let myself be carried away.
And if certain similarities are of a physical nature, it is through her experience, her battle, that this resemblance took on its meaning.
This demand for freedom in a world of taboos and the determination to live fully from one's art.
I went out overwhelmed by the life of this woman beautifully portrayed in this play. I dreamed, I laughed, I learned and I cried a lot, through resonance.
Through these images I wanted to understand, to repair…
MATA HARI
Tragedy of a Bird of Paradise
A dancer inspired by sacred oriental dances, Mata Hari embodies different facets of the sacred feminine according to tantric principles, the sacred dimension of eroticism.
Freedom, beauty, sensuality, exoticism, eroticism, passion, grace, elegance; a versatility which nourished her reputation as a free and elusive woman but also a certain charisma, a power, which made men tremble and which would eventually cost her her life.
Sentenced to the death penalty then coldly executed in Vincennes at dawn on Monday October 15, 1917, she was accused of spying against the French state, her host country, whose legitimacy of her crime still remains a mystery.
Her love for life, festive evenings and Arts naturally led her to the big stages of Paris, the city where she quickly took up residence.
Her art spread to other European countries such as Germany where she obtained a contract well before the war broke out.
Never a courtesan, always courted, she fully assumed her role as a free woman.
A choice that she expressed in all sincerity stemming from an authentic character, from a naive purity which will cause her downfall.
She will be credited with numerous adventures, mainly with regard to high-ranking officers.
But isn't it hypocritical to generalize a woman's audience, which is mainly composed of armed forces, in times of war?
Even though she obtained custody of her daughter as well as alimony during her divorce, she never saw the alimony as well as her daughter who was illegally taken from her by her ex-husband.
Having to survive on her own, she chose to bet everything on her artistic vocation and the obligations that followed... If these men of rank saw in her a rare trophy, many saw a diplomatic potential in her.
Of a surprising intellectual vivacity, she mastered 6 languages fluently.
And although she was never cut out for espionage, she believed she could use it to her advantage. She accepted out of spite, without committing too much, because refusal was not an option and she had to shelters his last but true love story.
She loved and was loved, but vehemently reciprocated what was done to her.
She was trapped by the title of spy that was imposed on her but which was never made official.
Despite her finesse in spirit, she could not compete against the world of men and its justice.
Would not Men's justice have wanted to destroy what it could not possess?
