For this full moon in Cancer, I wanted to share with you some of the work that a most talented dear friend Robert NilReed creates in partnership with his lovely wife Sophie Chudzikowski. Years after our first shoot in their hometown Vienna, they have become like family to me, where every moment spent with them makes me feel like home despite the distance that prevents us from spending more time together. I chose to make a tribute to his work because of what this zodiac sign evokes in me. Family, protection but also vulnerability. The topic of vulnerability has come up a lot lately in my conversations and I've realized how beautiful vulnerability is. Even though people associate it a lot with weakness, I see it more as a gift. The gift of feeling deeply. There is no greater asset for people who create to use their vulnerability. Yes, it hurts to feel sometimes, but when you see it from a little distance, being able to feel that way makes you realize how much of yourself you put into it, and be proud of it. Of course, there may be some risks, and this is where the need for protection arises. The Cancer crab symbolizes this gentleness enclosed in a solid shield. It is said that Cancer signs are very "family" people, they put a point of honor on family affairs, this does not only concern sibling or parental relationships but also the people they choose to be part of their family in their hearts and lives. Their loyalty and protection towards the people they love have no limits, they lift them up and protect them despite all odds, sometimes metamorphosing themselves to brave the impossible. This may seem excessive and therefore become a point of vulnerability, but it is also what creates strength within them. I was afraid of being vulnerable, but after realizing its authentic beauty, I realized how powerful it can be. "How do you cross the fire?" You go through it, completely, with all your heart, with all your soul.

This is also the beauty of being alive.
