So as per usual recently... I do work on the update, but I will need a few extra days. I still have problems with writing and I'm unhappy with everything I'm doing, which only makes it more and more difficult to do any proper progress. I'm trying some things to improve my overall well being - both physical and mental. Hopefully I will see some progress in the near future. I feel bad every time I need to go through the same set of what seems like excuses... but nevertheless thank you all for the constant support and all your words of encouragement during the last year.

Sometimes, you have to drop what you're doing and walk away for a few days. NO WORK on projects. I've learned this a long time ago. The issue is that you get frustrated by trying to force yourself to finish. All that does is make you more frustrated. Then, you are unhappy with the outcome. Remember - taking a break actually makes you MORE productive. CHEERS! I've been working on my project for 5 long years, I take full breaks every month or so.

Well, with a project thats tracking for years, of course the creativity juices are gonna run dry at some point Its part of the artistic experience The solution could be to explore other ideas, let your mind wander for a bit, change the perspective through which you see the design remember, one eye is enough to see the world, but the second eye gives it volume and depth

Indeed! Breath and relax! Recharge however you need. The game is SO GREAT!! I went in expecting a few characters and excuses to have sex scenes. What I ended up getting was an actual game with fully developed characters, a compelling narrative, fun gameplay, ON TOP of very hot guys, and on and on! So, do whatever you need to do to keep this game going.

There's always a river's end. Looking back and regretting where you've been, trying to paddle backwards, or trying to veer onto the bank, won't ease the way forward. We never truly finish anything, so don't be afraid to let go if it's bothering you so much. I appreciate the effort you, the artists, and the other writers have made, but maybe time away from steering down this river will help you realize it's not one you want to go down anymore, or recoup the energy you need to navigate it better. Totally get it and I understand if you need more time. I don't mind waiting honestly. If there is one thing I might critique though, it's the lack of communication. If you need time for whatever reason, that is understandable. I just wish you would keep us updated so we know you haven't forgotten about us. I get that it feels like making excuses or what have you but at the end of the day, open communication and transparency is important between creators and their supporters/fans. It's just my 2 cents though. Please don't feel hurried or rushed to put out something you are not happy with. I know we are all of the same mind when it comes to waiting patiently for an update.

I understand, Hyao. BUT, trust me, give it a go. FORCE yourself to step away for a day or two. When you start getting the itch to get back to work, THEN you give it another go. Some short-term fixes can be as simple as taking a nice walk. It's important to notice the amount of frustration you feel and how you might even panic to hurry. This is a huge mistake to keep working. Creatives make more mistakes, and the enjoyment soon becomes a burden. I am quite sure that everyone will back me up, giving you time to recover! Quality over burden. Quality over speed. If I knew you personally, I'd give you SUCH A PINCH! ;-)

You're not wrong about the creative juices. I did try to try other ideas. I even started making plans for some side project just for fun. It's one of the ways I'm trying to find a good balance again. But there are still few other things that are slowing me down that are sometimes difficult to ignore. Nevertheless, thank you, I'll keep that in mind for sure.

I'm trying to do that, but it's mostly that I think I can make it... then things happens, I change some plans and at the end of the month I'm still nowhere close to do anything. I guess I'm just being too stubborn about trying to reach certain expectations in my head and at the end it just not work at all. But I'll try to do my best to communicate everything.

Then push it out of the way. It's not going to wait for you to feel good, so you have to make yourself feel good if nothing else. If you need help pushing, then ask. You have plenty of people who want the same thing for you, and would be happy to share and help you get to that point. If you make mistakes with writing, or doing things you may not like, there's always rewrites and corrections. You might grow to like what you had to write about when you are in a better mindset, even.
