We're very excited to make another patreon-only (for now) exclusive announcement.



The first Liberation Day DLC has been announced! And best of all, it will be FREE and included as part of V3.00.

Sunrider Liberation Day: ROUTE [RE]TURN

Product Summary: A free DLC which adds an entirely new story scenario to the game which unlocks after completing the main game.

Plot: Kayto Shields wakes up 72 hours before the Liberation Day Massacre, somehow now aware of who will betray him. In a desperate race against time, he must prevent the tragedy from occurring and change the course of history! But doing so will not be easy...

Features

-Claude is your partner in this new adventure to change the bleak future 

-Recruit the help of Asaga, Ava, Sola, or Icari... And this time, how will his affections for the girls change now that he's trying to thwart the prototypes' plot?

-Thrilling suspense story where death is always around the corner and every decision has huge consequences

-Multiple possible endings depending on your actions

-Full VN (no battle game play)

Yes, you will have to download a new 18+ patch once the DLC is finished. This is the first time we've made a free DLC though so I don't know how it works on Steam yet. Hopefully not too difficult.

it is new canon route? (override v2.0 ending) or extra "what if" route? i'm bit confused. By the way, Is this going to have new voice later? (perhaps it is recording in same time of v2.0 contents)

Coming from a dev, its fairly simple. You'll notice many games do have free DLC, it basically works the same way as paid but under "price" you put 0

Well, tickle me excited. I must ask though, is this dlc going to be activated from the main menu as a separate story? Or will it trigger as part of normal gameplay? Either way, I'm looking forward to this one!

Great! I loved almost everything about this, except for "No battle game play"... I don't know, it just doesn't sound like Sunrider to me... But I am looking forward to this! Especially to side with Claude again ^.^

The DLC will not be voiced. There are multiple endings to the new scenario. So everyone will have different outcomes. There is no "canon" outcome.

If the criteria is that it unlocks after clearing the main game, I would assume it is post 2.00 content and is an expansion on this extra segment. EDIT: After reading their response that there is no canon outcome I guess we can assume that at least the character routes are not canon however there may be an overarching theme that is and will play into the next series entry.
