A bulked up version of Kryska's previous ryder, the new Paladin comes equipped with various refinements, but still retains its focus on heavy armor.


Initial Idea Prototype Description (Pre-Model)

KINETIC: x1 Shock Cannon
A single, massive shoulder mounted rail gun powerful enough to threaten even capital ships. Its draw back is its slow rate of fire.

ASSAULT: x4 Auto-Rifles
The new Paladin can fire up to 4 rifles simultaneously, each at a different target, giving it excellent point defense and anti-ryder capabilities.

MISSILE: x20 Heavy Rockets, 3 Refills
The Paladin's missiles trade in their homing capabilities for greater speed and bigger warheads. Most effective against capital ships.


GUARD: Kryska will challenge enemies on the comm, drawing their attention, while increasing her defense.

These specs are the initial descriptions that were floated at the start of the creative process, they're mostly provided for context on where the concepts began and what was being worked towards. With our ryder designs and their functional numbers typically you'd expect them to go through the following three stages: Prototype Unit -> Initial Concept Model Unit -> Implemented Unit . There was a clarification made back when the High Roller was released and such functions were being shared but this is perhaps an indicator we will need to make it a little clearer with the other posts that followed for main cast units around what these represent.
