This is to answer someone's question about my brush settings.I use Photoshop CC 2015, you will have to translate this into whatever software you use.

For lineart and sketching I always do the following:

Pencil tool

Hard Round w/ pressure size

Enable Pressure Opacity

2px brush size

For painting I disable pressure opacity and increase the size to 15 or more.
