Announcing Dr. Video Daytime! (Patreon)

Hi All-

Tim, here. Engaging you like a person! Not as the inscrutable voice of the CONSUMER (@massivesubsidies) or Dr. VIDEO (@seedrvideo) Instagram accounts. Or the detached editor's copy of various Enemies List announcements on this mailing list. Or the silent entity that "lives in the woods". Just as me, though I am still those other things too.

*This Friday*, Feb. 26th at Noon EST, Dr. VIDEO DAYTIME will be launching on Twitch (@SeeDrVIDEO) for several hours, if not more.

If you have missed previous announcements, Dr. VIDEO is interactive visual synthesis bogus internet content therapy. The system is programmed by Cody (IG @cody2k), soundtracked by me, and thematically curated by us both.

Though we still plan to do more live "shows" like the Flowers of St. Francis Vol. 5 release and the New Years Eve happening, Cody and I have long discussed running a more casual, automated version of the experience. Less of an event happening, and more like a destination where you can take a break from work and go twiddle the knobs at a dream-dimension UHF station for an indeterminate amount of time.

You might be alone, only in the mood for a brief (!affirmation) from the Doctor. You might meet up with a friend to poke around and speculate. You might encounter a larger crew of users in the chat and work together to juice the experience to its limits, significantly derailing your plans for the whole afternoon.

You might stumble upon some ELHR easter eggs...

Overall, depending on when you tune in, and for how long, the jukebox and visual stash will reveal unique flavor combinations to the moment. I guess, at this point, if you watched it for 8 straight hours, you would have heard/seen all of the fundamentals on our end. (There's a lot of new material/features added since New Years.) However, the experience still has endless variations and permutations depending on your desires and input.

These pieces are instrumental and cover a range of themes and moods. While the visual context of the Dr. VIDEO program provides a superior experience, I think they stand on their own two feet well enough as homework music wallpaper, etc.

So long as the first longform DAYTIME broadcast runs smoothly, the SeeDrVIDEO Twitch account will go live at length with greater regularity & fewer announcements. With that said, we are always planning for the next evolutionary steps of this concept - a concept that we ourselves only dimly understand - so watch this spot.
