Hey all,

Quick reminder - going to do a Q+A today. Ask me anything. Patreon members get all their questions answered for sure, so fire away.

I couldn't quite figure out the Live Stream aspect of this, so for now I'll just post the recording here when I'm done. But if people like these, I'll do them more regularly.

Thanks, love you.

im wondering, do you ever plan to make something new as giles corey or it’s over for this project? also how do you feel about getting so much more known in the whole world? xx

Jayme Keglor

Will we be get a Nahvalr vinyl release? (Other than the subscription one) or maybe another album?

Kei

Do you feel like there is something specific you need to do, like a certain ambition that needs to be satisfied at some point in your life? And broader, do you think every person has a point at which they’re content, or is that an impossibility for some?

Prick Baxter

has there ever been any talk about an In Pieces reunion or at least represses of the albums?

Jacob

Hey Dan and Tim, hope you’re all doing well. Was wondering if there were going to be any new projects soon and, if so, when we could expect it. And also (Dan) could you expand a little bit on the topic of self-hypnosis for those of us who are interested — I’ve signed up for the class in December, sounds like some pretty exciting stuff. Lastly I just wanted to ask if you plan on doing anymore Black Wing ‘behind the scenes’ videos here on Patreon. Thank you guys!

- What artist(s), in any medium, have had a particular influence on you and/or your work? - What was your involvement with In Pieces? - Will GATE ever see an official release? - What is your favorite piece of fiction and why?

Amirez

Is Giles Corey officially over music release and concert wise?

Claus

Howdy Dan! One silly question, and one serious question, I don't mind whichever one you answer - What are your thoughts on the Touhou Project series, and do you know how splendid fumos are. - Akin to what Car Seat Headrest did for their album Twin Fantasy, do you ever see the chance of rerecording some of the original Giles Corey music using a live band, I've always pondered the thought of a real brass band playing Buried Above Ground. Thank you, your music is one of my greatest joys in life, and I will forever be grateful. Signed: EB

Claus

One last question, you mentioned you and Tim thinking up plans for shows next year, do you think there could be the chance we could see y'all in Cleveland. Much love.

Will any past Have a Nice Life albums (Like Voids II) ever be released on Spotify or have physical releases? Also, are there any plans to tour in Europe?

paul smith

More introspective question: Is there any connections or even collisions between your work/business and your outlook on society and the perspective you bring to your music? Do you feel like two different people when it comes to writing/playing your music versus being business owner? Thanks for your time Dan.

Amirez

Also any plans to release older projects like HANL vs. You? Thank you so much ❤️

Crystal Kaifeck

Have you ever considered playing some rendition of Nahvalr or Black Wing songs live?

Krsna Riddle

I was wondering because of the religious themes of some of your lyrics, are you yourself religious or spiritual in anyway? I know some artist just like to use those themes, but they themselves aren’t very religious or spiritual.

Hashi

Hey Dan, I’m a huge fan and you’re a huge inspiration to me. I was wondering what your creative process is as far as production and writing. Do you write lyrics first, or do you work on an instrumental first? Any insight into your creative process is greatly appreciated as I struggle to get my ideas out there :)

jonathan tuite

Dan, what is your favorite video game?

Amirez

Are you inspired by Lil B the Based God?

Amirez

What is your opinion on the pony and furry fandom, and have you ever fapped to furies?

Hashi

Also, any book recommendations?

(copy and pasting my original questions in this thread in case you missed them in the original thread) Hey Dan, I had a few different questions for you (as I usually do) so i’ll put them all in this comment. 1) Favorite Nahvalr song? 2) What inspired you to cover Nahvalrs “Swallower of Bile” as a Giles Corey song? 3) Any favorite single moments off of any song you’ve worked on (i.e the drop from earthmover) 4) What made you pick the title “I’m Dr House”? 5) LAST ONE. I got to see you guys live in SF in June. Sprain destroyed my hearing and then you guys came out to destroy my emotional state. Anyways, I noticed that on some songs you guys use drum machines similar to the original recordings (hunter and cropsey specifically) but you mostly tend to use live drums. What made you want to use drum machines for specific songs and not for others? 6) LAST LAST ONE. Ever played Fallout New Vegas?
