in short, marinette has an activation trap card, adrien's suspected for being a mystery baby, and everyone cares about each other but unfortunately the disappearance of a beloved family member can really put a strain on things. luckily(?) Felix has been adultified to all hell and can handle a lil bit of fuckery

Yes and no bc we all knew Chloe is a common person akumatised and she wants to resist we just didn’t know that the butterfly had such adverse affects if exposed frequently

Dear God this whole thing was beautiful. It didn't hit me until now just how much I missed the way you write these characters; they're all so wonderfully nuanced and rich, and the drama of their interpersonal relationships is just so engaging. Good thing Felix is here to help smooth things over; even if they still carry some understandable resentment for how things turned out, they aren't writing off their uncle, recognizing that his faults come from an abundance of care rather than a lack of it. And that is what makes Dr. Avalon far superior to Gabriel, even if that's admittedly a low bar to clear. And then we have Alya and Nino working to reforge their connection to Marinette and Alya respecting Marinette's desire to keep things secret and just...gah! So much good writing! Seriously, brilliant work as always, and I'm happy to see you back on your feet! Excited to see what comes next, and be sure to take care of yourself! I'd rather another hiatus with quality work like this at the end of it than you pushing yourself to the breaking point when you have so much going on in your life. Health comes first, always!

I mean, it's a harsh thought, and Dr. Avalon clearly cares for Adrien, but from a medical standpoint, it's not an entirely off-base assumption. A woman who, while otherwise healthy, was unable to have children, suddenly has a miracle pregnancy, followed by a sudden and rapid decline in health with no traceable cause. Any doctor would look at the pregnancy and wonder if that was the catalyst. And it was! Just not in a way that can be diagnosed.

These three chapters can all just be named The Standoff. All of these characters don't trust eachother and all have very personal reasons for it. The tension in this is all throughout and is so well written. Truly love this story great writing and beautiful art.

I agree it’s logically suspicious but still Chloe started having these issues WAYYYY after Adrien and her became friends and so did marinette albeit shorter in comparison so it seems like a bit of a stretch.. also give Adrien a big fat break honestly his mom, mom, childhood friend and previously close friend are all having similar issues (and mom is missing presumably dead) like that sucks major ass. Glad the doctor didn’t say his theory out loud the trauma 😫 it would have been catastrophic. The doctor is so close but so far… (Gabriel) ugh. ON ANOTHER NOTE I AM EXCITED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO EMELIE . Even if it’s same as canon (creepy yet sorta tasteful shrine in husbands basement) I am excited/worried for Felix to find out. on one hand MYSTERY SOLVED but on the other, ✨trauma✨ from seeing your aunt in a glass box like Snow White or a collectors item. On ANOTHER note I wonder how the contractors for Gabriel’s house reacted to the underground shrine??? Like maybe they didn’t see all of it but an underground thing with a statue of his wife and a glass box??? I doubt he built it himself did he make an akuma?

I’m wondering too I feel like physically tom is still stronger than marinette (he probably wouldn’t win against her in a fight tho not that that would happen without an akuma involved) but maybe with her Hawkmoth adrenaline she might’ve dragged him a little

As much as I love seeing the parts all together on here the pacing is also when shown part by part like on your tumblr the end of the first part is like. “ oh shit? “ as in it really highlights the animosity between Adrien and his uncle… both is good
