figured i should show how dead marinette looked instantly after chat noir obliterated her memories - due to the shock, she wasn't breathing due to not... remembering... to breathe, so she was suffocating until Luka ran off with her and jostled her enough to kick her instincts into gear. after that she had to try out blinking without hurting her eyes and drinking water without breathing it (hardest difficulty)

as she recalls motor functions, more and more comes back to her, but initially Jagged and Luka were kinda all around the clock trying to make sure she didn't like. swallow her tongue or something

however as far as the last time Rena, Carapace, Chat, and Chrysalis saw her, she 100% looked dead. oopsies! not a single happy camper in this situation

(last they saw luka he was bleeding out of his face, so, yknow. there were theories amongst the heroes for a minute that luka might be dead too until juleka was able to confirm he was alive, but that took a while coz jagged sent her and rose on a vacation LMFAO)

Adrien really wanted no memories AT ALL! Not just of his dad but everything even basic bodily functions... That's some true destruction there, I'm now impressed by how little damage they got trying to stop him! Also the fact Marinette has the ability to recall anything at all is very impressive!

At the beginning this behavior stemmed from legitimate panic about the situation, so Jagged let it slide. By the time Jagged realized that Luka was now monopolizing Marinette for his own benefit and not hers, he was independent, and harder to sway. He's also worried that trying to pull Luka away from Marinette will make him cling into her harder, so Jagged is just kinda acting as a voice of reason to tell Luka to stop acting like a TOTAL freak and pick his fights when it comes to how fixated on his GF he wants to be. Otherwise Jagged isn't a well adjusted adult and low-key finds Luka endearing by acting like a resource guarding dog

Okay okay different question bc I just saw that mine got answered via a different comment. What are the Kwami perspectives (Sass and Tikki)? We already saw Tikki interacting with Mari but what of Sass? Is he still with Luka? Or is he with Alya who I assume is the new guardian. Again, I love this so much god your aus are always so cool and angsty and delicious!!!

Sass is with Alya being immensely unhelpful. When the cat is outta the bag and everyone figures out that Luka is "overboard"ing Marinette, Sass says yes dude. If you could start over from scratch with the one that got away and you were confident in your ability to treat them right, you'd probs do it too. And Alya goes I'M SURROUNDED BY FREAKS

The only reason Nino didn't get his shit rocked when he also jumped in to stop Chat is because he was suited up as Carapace at the time - Luka nor Marinette were transformed, so they received immense damage

It's probably too late + Ladybug was not "active" doing the conflict. I think it was the New York special that also touched on the "I can't fix something if I'm not there when it happens and the thing that caused it is gone before I get there" with the whole sentiemonster in Paris wrecking the city.

I imagine even after noticing she was breathing the worry was if she was braindead or would slip into a permanent coma. I can only imagine the relief once she started functioning herself and I can imagine Luka's relief when she first spoke, and the horror/fury when she could communicate she had no memories.
