Hey, so I was just wondering something: would you guys like to see more animatics/sketchy animations, comics, or just drawings?

It's just something that crossed my mind. Every time I'm in the process of making a comic, I always see it as an animation playing out in my head. But , and some of you may know, that animation is a lot more work than just making a comic or a single drawing. I do have a fondness for making animatics though, which I like to think as a nice in-between full animation and just drawing a single drawing. I like that it has a bit of motion without having the full workload of a completed animation. But I dunno though. What do you guys think?

Based on some feedback from the last post, it seems like you guys really like that sketchy animation. And some of you said that you would like to see more of that.

Let me know your thoughts 😃!

Would definitely love to see some animated Pepper being a badass.

I like both your sketches and pics, it adds vibrancy to Pepper's world to see the snippets of their day to day lives - and sketchy works well for that too

FuzzyFoxe

Agreed, little animations and stuff here and there would be real fun to see c:

Awesome! I'll keep that in mind

Good to know! Glad you like the variety. I do like making candid moments. I'll keep at it then

Pepper being a badass is what I live for lol

I love the animations. They’re worth the wait. But I don’t want you burning yourself out. If animation is too much work, the still drawings are more than enough to keep me happy.

Hey man, thanks for the kind words and liking my works all around! I appreciate it.

You make it sound like you want to make a full animated show instead of a comic. That would be friggin' awesome to see. But as you said, animating just one small scene sounds very time consuming for one sole person. Anyways, these animatics are a nice way to bring these characters to life without burning yourself out in the process. Keep 'em coming!

Yeah I've always imagined Pepper and her world as being like an animated show that's similar to something like Avatar or some anime. But since making something like that to completion is a lot of work, I thought I'd opt for something like a comic where the likelihood of me finishing that is easier. But every now and then I dabble into animating bits and pieces of the story.

I'd say do what you want to do. Ultimately, you need to create what you want so that way you don't burn out on your art. If you want to produce more animations go for it. I enjoy all of your work.

I love your drawings, but certainly any time you are feeling inspired enough to illustrate your characters in a brief action sequence or just being sassy and fun go for it! The simple animated sketch above looks great to me! If you do decide to create an extended scene, it is probably better to work on it only a little at a time so it doesn't seem as overwhelming and work on other drawings in the meantime.

Yes please. Especially if this leads to an animated Ma'am Joi. 😘

Woops accidentally clicked enter but what I meant to say was that that's what I usually do with them. I usually tend to noodle away at an animation every now and then
