Gravo Guthaus

Is going outer space really that much faster that she is willed to potentially get detected by every military radar and possibly be mistaken as a missile of some sort with that straight upward start? I'm not complaining, I'm just genuinely curious.

Altair

she basically needs to travel to the other side of the planet. Like all planes, her flight speed depends on the altitude. At sea level she can reach mach 1.3 (1500 kmh). At 90.000 feet, she can reach mach 3 (3600kmh). But if she goes suborbital (500.000 feet), she can reach over 25000kmh. This means that it would take her 10 minutes to reach exit atmosphere - 20 minutes for intercontinental travel - 60 minutes for deceleration and re-entry. So it's definitely worth the risk. Hopefully she knows where radars are (she has RWR) and she will be smart enough to choose a route that avoids them as much as possible.
