"Well, Dance-Dance, let me put it that way. Humans started to, at some point claim things as their own and others couldn't have what was claimed. But some really wanted to have what others claimed without needing to fight them over it. So they began to exchange claimed things for other claimed things of approximately equal value or services. This went on for many many many years. But people wanted to be be able to exchange things without the need of carrying all their stuff around so they began to establish a concept that allowed them to do just that. Well, almost. They created small discs made of rare metals that had a set value. And everyone could then exchange those small discs for food and other things and the other way around. And what I now have to do is earning enough of those discs to be able to exchange those for a new shell for my mate."
