(Under 30 total episodes)

Lovecraft Country

Light Yagami

You (netflix) and shogun (2024) would be my picks. Shogun is fantastic, would probably be more up your alley and it’s only 10 episodes

Liam

Smiling Friends. It's very short hahahaha

SunnydaleClassof99

I'd love to see Firefly. I think you have the correct viewing order now.

Jed U

Shogun feels like the best choice that is right up your alley with political maneuverings in feudal Japan. If you’re willing to dive into semi-horror again, Midnight Mass is pretty good and by the maker of Hill House. Beef on Netflix is another quality show that is good fun if you wanted a change of pace, starring the actor for Glenn from TWD. Also I wanted to ask if there’s any plans to pick up the new season of Arcane? First 3 episodes dropped last week and another 3 are dropping this week

cosmotron

Well, more Mike Flannigan shows would be great. Either Midnight Mass or The Fall of the House of Usher.

Omega

Castlevania is a great animated series and the seasons are short.

I've been suggesting this one for ages, I think he'll really love it. Especially in season 2 and beyond...things really kick into high gear and don't let up. It's 32 episodes, so just over what he asked for, but they're short episodes, so I think its a perfect choice.

I like Bly Manor a lot and it'd be neat if he did them all in order, but I really loved MM and Usher so I'd enjoy any!

It's the best show of the year, to me. The Penguin surprised me by bring a very close 2nd, I didn't think anything would get close but I especially wouldn't have guessed that project before seeing it. But Shogun is a definite must watch. I'm surprised some reactors haven't done it yet, even some larger ones like The Normies.

Michael

Shogun is my pick for best show of the year (with Penguin in a close 2nd). It's great historical drama in feudal Japan. Politics, intrigue, violence, and human drama. It's 10 hour-ish long episodes. I also will continue suggesting the Netflix Castlevania animated series. Action is great, a lot of personality, I think you'll love it. 4 seasons, 32 episodes total, all about 22-30 minutes long.

I love Bly Manor too, and my prefer would be for him to go in order as well, but Bly is less likely to win in a poll I think.

Jacob Cannon

Station Eleven is a short well written sci-fi drama, The Rehearsal is some of the most insane ideas in comedy you'll ever see put to screen with Nathan Fielder New Fallout show is actually decent Shrinking on Apple TV is hilarious

bnut

Eastbound and Down. Peak Danny McBride and nobody has reacted to it.

Krieger

Shogun is a great choice, but I'd like to put out The Night Manager so people will consider it for next time. A very underrated show, or maybe underappreciated is more accurate. Great crime drama/spy series with tremendous acting. Really blew me away, and nobody seems to know about it.

Tron

Queen’s Gambit or Fleabag

Rawgers

It has to be Eastbound & Down

KH

Slow Horses

KH

Taboo - Starring Tom Hardy

David

Midnight Mass

Ben Trotter

Arcane season 2 is already on its way right?!???

Kim Carragher

Honoring my promises - let’s give it up for Fleabag!

Jacob Corenthose

Quarry (2016) Great neo-noir/crime miniseries that showed on Cinemax. You'd love it and it's like ten Episodes.

Jacob Corenthose

Primal. It's animated (not anime) and it delivers across the board.

Dani

Midnight Mass or Fleabag 🥹🥹🥹

Mike Ross

One piece live action

p0sthum4n

Shogun seems like it's probably right up your alley. I haven't seen EB&D either and would def consider watching that along with you. And someone else mentioned Firefly which I always love so I'll get behind that as well. It has a followup movie.

Corey

Fleabag

Johnny Maple

Midnight Mass is by the same guy and it's great.

JD

Eastbound and down

CozHog

Mare of Easttown is great, quality little crime/detective show. Good mystery, good characters, Kate Winslet is fantastic, 7 episodes and you’re done. Things get dark lol

Miz Mons

Revisit Rick Grimes with “The Ones Who Live” (6 eps)

Kendall DeSouza

FROM, The Devil's Hour, but highest on my list would be an AMC series called Dark Winds. It follows a trio of Navajo cops on the rez in the 70s investigating a criminal conspiracy. Produced by Robert Redford and GRR Martin

David Stevenson

Mr. Inbetween has 3 short seasons, a total of 26 episodes. It really is an amazing show, I know you’d love it.

Nicholas Bogroff Ganssle

The Last Tycoon (available on Amazon Prime) Brave New World (available on Peacock) The Diplomat (available on Netflix) Coupling (available on Amazon Prime) Bel-Air (available on Peacock)

David Herron

Jericho, 2 seasons , I think you will dig it , it has the dude from scream and Morgan from twd, trust me man this is your kind of show

Sarahnade

Firefly!(?) Honestly I have no idea if you'd like it, but it's only 14 episodes, the characters are incredible, and I'm very interested to see what you think.

Roxy

The great (Hulu), midnight mass (Netflix), the sandman (Netflix), the leftovers (max)

The only reason I'm not giving a full chest recommendation for it, is only because I don't know what he thinks about that quippy style of dialogue Joss Whedon uses. Otherwise it's a funny sci fi with great characters, and I know he likes all that. So it's a strong maybe! :D

Paul T Hewes

I watched "Tulsa King" and it was quite amusing. Not a lot of depth or high brow work, but amusing with characters and silly mob parodies.

tigale

Fleabag! Its Drama, Funny, and weird but in a way that i think you will like! Whole show is only 12 episodes and in my opinion it is one of the best shows ever made!! I have a hard time describing but i hope you will watch it! Its one of those shows that i dont recommend to everybody but when i do, i have high hopes that they will end up loving it! (And that ended up happening pretty much every time :)

Dani

And it’s half hour episodes so like 6 hours total!

Callum

From is really good and only about 20 eps so far. Great mystery
