It's really like the start of a whole new side quest, with deeper plot points and bad ass new characters. and this one was a solid kick start to it

It's funny you mentioned how far you're into the show now. The end of last episode marked the halfway point for the series. Now you've starting the 2nd half with this episode.

For the Scar vs Kimblee fight, in the manga (and the subbed version), Kimblee brought up the fact that Scar's older brother was bleeding profusely from a wound in his lower left stomach and mockingly said how he could tell he was in extreme agony. In response, Scar took a broken pipe, threw it and impaled Kimblee in the same spot and then asked "The lower left stomach...right?" LOL Olivier is definitely going to be the only one to call Ed short and actually get away with it xD
