Token is done. He's given all the weight Cole had "assisted" him gain and more. Rather than apologize or realize why Token is even doing this, Cole helplessly pleads for him to stop, throwing out half formed thoughts that barely passed as excuses. Amid the panic he confesses his love and good intentions for Token.

With both of their initial thoughts derailed, and the situations fuse seemingly put out for the time being, they take a step back. Ras has already made his point that the two will have to coexist for now so Token takes this as a chance to finally talk to Cole and set up boundaries between them and their relationship moving forward. He attempts to draw a line between them as two people working together. Whether or not Cole actually understands is a whole other issue of it's own...
