Aww Val learned how to crunch, how cute. Seriously though why isn't Luxray a dark/electric type?

From the design it really does seem like Luxray is suppose to be dark/electric. I wonder if it was originally but it was changed during development for some reason.

It's a good question. Were there that many dark type pokémon in gen 4? I thought Dark Electric wasn't represented until Morpeko

Looking it up there were a moderate number introduced in gen 4 and there were a lot of dark type moves introduced that gen as well. It's odd that Morpeko is the only Dark Electric.
