My friend (who happens to also be in this comment section) forced me to listen to the two Auron audios at gunpoint and I have some feelings that I need to yell about. So, apologies for this being my first comment on your work. This seems to be a new trend of mine. It normally takes me at least FOURTY HOURS to feel any sort of lasting loyalty to a character. You know, the ones you've played entire JRPGs with and know in and out. The ones who you've been through hell with and know are worth it. This took twenty minutes. Twenty. Gosh dang. Minutes. And I'm genuinely terrified. The script and acting here were both beautiful and made it clear that this man has been through it all before and knows how to handle it. His confidence is well earned. Apparently Listener's confidence is also well earned, and I LOVE that because it's setting up a really lovely dynamic between these two that I cannot wait to hear more of. Also "Rook" is incredibly unfair because not only is it a cute shortening of "rookie" but it's also a chess piece and I have FEELINGS about being a chess piece on this man's board.
