Greetings, club members!,
EDIT 10/22/26: We are actively investigating this issue and will share a progress update over the weekend. As many of you may have seen in the news today, the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and global cyber agencies have issued critical warnings regarding severe vulnerabilities affecting PHP, the foundation of countless servers worldwide, including ours. This exploit allows unauthenticated remote code execution, forcing major organizations and governments to take their servers offline as a precaution.
When we learned of this issue today, we immediately took action to protect our system and user data, which required us to take all of our games offline. We can confidently say that everyone's personal information is safe and secure.
However, because of what happened today, we had to consider the possibility of future server-side vulnerabilities like this, especially as AI is increasingly used to launch and scale these cyberattacks—a trend that will only grow as AI development continues. We never want to risk our players' personal information falling victim to these kinds of cases, and we never want the community's ability to play the game to be held hostage by global infrastructure issues.
In addition, our games originally launched a decade ago, and while we’ve taken every measure to keep our server security in line with updated protocols, the reality is that today’s web environment presents rapidly evolving threats that prior architectures aren't designed to address. In order to make the games fully safe for online play again, we would need to rebuild from the ground up—a project that would require a significant amount of downtime and hundreds of hours of work, and we are a small team without the manpower resources to easily accomplish this.
Right now, we are exploring our options. We know there is already a strong community interest in a local build, so, rather than rushing to bring the online services back up in a vulnerable environment, we are investigating the feasibility of converting Furry Beach Club and Galactic Monster Quest into offline applications which can be updated via download patches.
Kind Regards,
