Ok I’ve been thinking about the ending of cowboy Carter and how (like you showed) it kinda flows perfectly into I’m That Girl. I think Renaissance was about her future (moving away from perfectionism and just being free) and Cowboy Carter is about her past (all of the references to her childhood whether that be the overall sound aesthetic, the artists or the lyrics) and how both albums reflect that sonically. Then I thought about what she said in the Lemonade Film: the past and the future merge to meet us here. I don’t really have a fully fleshed out prediction or anything, but I think perhaps, act III isn’t going to be rock at all and could be something completely different. Idk I could just be reaching but also in the Renaissance film, she mentions how she has been very existential recently about the concept of time. Maybe that ties into this somehow. Idk though hahah. What I do know is that I’m obsessed with project and thank you Maya for another amazing video - we love you x

I’ve been tussling with my parents and while i have to admit Michael Jackson was a generational talent. The way Beyonce was able tore-invent herself while also topping herself is out of this world and i think makes her the best to ever do it. Are there others that excel in specific areas over Beyonce, yes, but when you take every aspect of who she is as a performer nobody can compare to her.

Oh my god I was WAITING for Daughter—I found out the day the album dropped that my old roommate’s BOYFRIEND is a writer and producer on that track!! He’s Simon Maartensson on the credits, and he’s the artist Cam’s guitarist and I guess the two of them wrote that song originally, and then someone told them they wanted to push it for Bey and then she loved it and “Beyoncified” it lol! She is a student of music and history and the way she so seamlessly integrates that into her music is awe inspiring! We are so blessed to be alive and witness her in real time.
