Sarah's line to Charlie's mom after dinner just breaks me: "It takes a lot for Nick to stand up to David like that. He must care for Charlie very deeply." (My own mom would never have said, or felt, or understood, anything like that.) Sarah is likely the main reason Nick grew up so kind and respectful and empathetic. Maya, you're a treasure. I'd say get your head ready for Season 3, if I didn't already know that being "ready" for it is impossible.
