As a project this album completely knocked the wind out of me because when I listened to it I had experienced many losses from both friends and family. It’s one of my mourning albums so I don’t listen to it often. I really like it though. Also your reaction to fingertips was me, like girl take a damn break!!! Then I looked in the mirror like oh, let me let myself mourn as well. I remember once I listened to this album on repeat three times from 5-8 am and realized I had only been sitting there four three hours just listening to it. Anyways very heavy album, glad you liked it even if you won’t go back to it (completely understandable). Can’t wait to see what else you get into.

moral of the story “i hate when a b!tch i don’t like serves.”

Carter

Oh wow. What timing! Lana and Abel have a new song that’s out on his new album JUST YESTERDAY! Her vocals are insane on that track!!

Carter

The Grants is her family name! Btw

The candy necklace is a triple meaning. one meaning is the candy necklace itself that kids have to enjoy. The second meaning is the enticing trap set by older people set for a younger partner. The third meeting is metaphor for a noose

Oh Maya the lore on Judah Smith is deep 😭 he cofounded Hillsong but now he's a pastor at Churchome and guess who he most famously "advises"....Justin Bieber :/

Orangeskies

I would have never expected this actually but I do like this album so I'm seated

Baseddigglet202

Margaret is about Jack antenoff and Margaret qualley getting married cause Lana is close friends with them so this song was for their wedding which was on December 18th 2023 :))

Carter

Bleachers is a band lead by Jack Antonoff, the guy singing on the song “Margaret”. He was the main producer on NFR.

Si

Candy necklaces has a great music video. And you ate up the death reference

as someone who listened to this album when it came out, this is definitely my second least fave lana record (first is blue banisters), i loved some songs from it (especially A&W), but overall the album was underwhelming for me.

ENVY

everybody say thank you Cadin

The Chorus on Grants / Backup vocals on the title track are her beautiful backup singers. I know you've sworn her off after this 😭 but a live performance of the title track is when she lets them have their moments and they sing DOWN(if you would like to see it🤍) !

littlebrojay

never have i ever heard an entire lana project (i could only do so listening alongside you) but the scene building she has in some of these songs left me DUMB while working i was like oh WORD ??

Emma Gesse

Omg, I like this album. But I also had to stop messing with Lana a year or two ago! I'm thinking about getting some of her albums on vinyl secondhand just to not stream 😬

devhassoul

I couldn’t get into her other albums. Her best projects in my opinion are Born To Die & Paradise.

Jared

omg i definitely didn’t see this one coming but i’m grateful 😭😭

LANA ON THE CHANNEL?? WHAT STRANGE PARALLEL UNIVERSE IS THIS 😭😭😭

Weston Foster

I’ve waited forever for this moment 😩

jude lowery

as far as margaret goes, the song is a collab with jack antonoff (he is bleachers) and it’s written by them about jack antonoffs wedding and marriage to margaret qualley! she actually wrote it for their wedding and sang it there

Cody Strimple

Waittttt okay so, I’ve dodged anything w her generally bc I’m simply not a fan.. but now I learn she is problematic on top of the fact she can’t even sing?? ((I said what I said and I will die loudly on this hill.))
