Notice what Gon actually got mad about during the arm wrestling. He wasn't really angry at them until they talked about how much Uvogin meant to them, which clashed with his own idea of them just being heartless killers. Gon has faced a ton of killers before without getting angry like that, and he didn't care about others dying in the Hunter Exam at all. The Spiders having more complexity than he thought is what made him angry, not the fact that they're killers alone. Pay attention to Gon's headspace moving forward too, it'll pay off.

Idk if you noticed but you can’t hear Killua’s footsteps. If you rewatch the scene of Gon and Killua trailing the Troupe you can hear Gon running across the roof but you hear nothing from Killua.
