once you rewatch it, you’ll pick up on the hints they were throwing out about how none of those rooms (tree house, game room, dance studio, etc.) actually existed. example, the mom told Luke and Shirley “i’ll be in my reading room” and Luke says “which room is the reading room?” Steven tells Mrs Dudley “I found it in the game room” and Mrs. Dudley responds “the what room?” another example would be how Luke & Nell both continuously touched their neck in Episodes 4 & 5 because Nell was The Bent Neck Lady the whole time, it’s the little details that’ll blow your mind watching it the second time, so well written!!!

this series man, this series. fully 10/10 for me! something that someone pointed out to me that blew my mind, but made so much sense, was how the siblings were the 5 stages of grief. from Denial (Steven) down to Acceptance(Nell) and the creator confirmed it. Usings ghosts as a metaphor for grief and loss and how we handle/are unable to handle both is just...brilliant. This show remains one of my favourites. I really enjoyed watching you react to it, and im so glad you loved it!

I’ve watched this show THREE TIMES and the way I bawl my eyes out every TIME is so ridiculous like the chokehold the writing and the acting has on me like SHEESH🥲🥲🥲🥲 immaculate like 10000/10 show

There was an alternate ending filmed where Luke did die. If you pay attention, during the scene where he's blowing out his candle on the two year anniversary there is a picture behind him with the same shape as the window of the red room. That scene was originally a red room hallucination, but the director turned it into a painting and filmed an ending where Luke survived because he felt if Luke died it would have been too depressing.

I, too, was in tears for the last 5 mins (this time and my first watch lol)! Watching this w you was so fun! This show was just such masterful storytelling it’s too good!
