Let us talk about Femdom City! (Patreon)

So, by now everyone should have played the tech demo of Femdom City. I am currently working on the next part, which gets the the strip club, the first bits of the story and a few encounters in.

The story will be a big part of Femdom City and will be told with cutscenes like the intro, with newspaper articles like you see it in the picture above and with videotapes like you know it from the early days of the asylum!

What about the gameplay? Well, your main goal is to earn money! Every 10 days you will be dragged to the administration to pay your taxes...if you can't pay these, there is a variety of things that can happen, but you will most likely end up in military prison.

So that you can pay the taxes, you will have to earn money. You know the basic mechanics of this right now, later there will be a chance that you get injured from work so that you have to go to the hospital in order to work again. You can also get injured by random encounters. And there is 'Humiliation' that rises when you work. So every now and then you have to do something to lower the humiliation stat in order to work again.

I'm not sure wether I should make it rather difficult and challenging to grind or rather easy to achieve. I'm leaning towards the rather easy difficulty...just because I got the feeling that more people where frustrated with the difficulty of Captured by Dark Elves.

So your goal in this game is mainly surviving in this city, while finding out how Femdom City became the place that it is now and what is really behind this. But of course you will have the chance to 'romance' your favourite mistress.

The mechanics for this will be a bit different. Here is what I've planned: When you've impressed a woman or a futanari enough, she will offer you a slave contract! That means a) that you will pay less taxes and b) that you now not only have to pay the taxes but also work for your mistress! What she wants from you depends on her. Maybe she only wants a specific amount of money every 10 days, maybe she wants you to work for her exclusively...or maybe she's a mean bitch and signing a contract with her will lead to a bad ending.

If you keep impressing her, maybe she will develop feelings for you. Maybe she will protect you more and more and maybe she will even help you to escape Femdom City.

So, last but not least, let us talk about the different fractions and places in the game! I have to be a bit cryptic here, because I don't want to give too much away yet, and a few fractions and places will be unlocked throughout the story.

But since this game is for you guys, I have to ask you what you want to have it it, and if I've missed something that you desperatly want to see in a Femdom Game!

These places will have subplaces, some of them will have to be unlocked later, some will be there right from the start. For example: The Underpass (The one with the bootworship job) will have a Futanari Gloryhole toilet, the StripClub will have an unlockable underground dance club.

And then there are some secret places that you cannot go but will be dragged in, like 'The Farm' :D...or the Military Prison.

That is basically it. There are some places that I don't want to reveal yet, but I think right now there's more than enough anyway :D. Unless I've missed something obvious. Then tell me! :)

I'm also not quite sure how many fantasy elements should be in there. I think there shouldn't be much, but few should be in there (1-2 vampires and undead, and maybe 1-2 demons) for sure.

That is what I've planned for the game. Now listen, this will be the first 'big' game. It will be going on for a very long time and constantly be updated. The only option to talk about changes is right now! So tell me what you would like to see and what not and what you would change! Be vocal about it so that it will be the best and biggest Femdom Game of all time!

I'd like to see some forced fem/sissy.bi. Maybe maid training to earn money, with an option to getting owned. Punishments that include public humiliation, forced chastity, tease and denial, abandonment and (I assume you have this covered already) corporal punishment. As for difficulty level, I think it should be challenging enough to make a game of it but not so difficult that it's hard to progress. Maybe set it up so that your decisions determine the level of reward and speed of advancement through the game. That way you still progress but if you make crappy decisions it takes longer to move forward, rather than getting stuck and having to restart. You could maybe add options where you can make bonus scores/money by doing more humiliating deeds for a points boost if you're lagging behind, but then it takes a bit longer to recover your energy (or however the dynamic of the gameplay is designed). By the way, I haven't played the demo yet, I couldn't get the file to open. I'm using 'unzip' to open RAR files but for some reason it's not working for this file. Any advice for a tech-tard would be appreciated.

if there is a failure unzipping the demo like "archive is damaged" then it is a good idea to either update your existing archiver or use another archiver like winrar or 7zip. I've planned some things like that, working as a bunny waitress in the strip club will come up next for example

well, there is something planned...but for the working places it is not really forced. For example...you can work as a bunny waitress in the strip club, and they force you to wear it if you want to work there, but they can't force you to work there, because you always have the option to work in the house of pain or at the underpass instead if you know what I mean...there will be of course some mistresses that force you to do it...but I'm currently focussing on finishing downtown instead of doing contracts for different mistresses already :)

It's going to be difficult from a render asset perspective...the Futa Dark Elves already got some citique because of the not always matching colour of the dicks, and red is a colour that isn't in store at the current moment...and I want my succubus to be red. So there is a chance because I want to see that myself, one futa and one female succubus...but if it is not going to work then she will just be female ;)

ah, good to know! I've planned that but I somehow lost track on it! I have to put that on the assets needed list...for the watersport. I'm not sure about bestiality, would definetly be optional and I would have to do a lot of tweaking to give the dog a cock (and I would have to find a good dog model first...will look around for it)

The description of the game setting and mechanics sounds extremely similar to that Futadom game. Speaking to your gameplay plans, yes please try to avoid making it too grindy and too random in terms of outcomes. Both of these are dangerous design pratfalls that can harm the fun of your game. If the grind in your game is designed to essentially prolong the amount of time it takes to do something, then your game has a problem. Similarly, random outcomes are also disengaging. Try playing a game with someone where you both take 3 dice and roll them. Whoever has the higher number wins the game. How engaging is this? Now take those same 6 dice and roll them again, but this time you take turns with your opponent selecting from the dice which ones you want. Your goal is to try and get a number as close to 10 as possible with 3 dice. Is this more or less engaging? Just my opinion, but I haven't found your games to be engaging at all to this point. But I do like the genre and feel it is extremely underrepresented. If you were able to develop something with engaging gameplay or story, then it could be very valuable.

'that futadom game' is futadomworld and it's true that especially the male tax is extremely similar, although it will be handled differently. (I've already talked to the devs about that) I don't think it's too random in terms of the outcomes concerning the facts you got 10 days until you go to the administration to pay the tax...so 10daysx8hours is a lot of dice to roll... Well, if you haven't found my games engaging at all and are just here because you feel the genre is underrepresented then I think it's best to stop pledging...because it's very unlikely that I'm going to change my approach and thought the story for previous games was decent enough

A word of caution. Do not mash to many genres together. Some people are okay with femdom related genre (pegging, worship, spanking blah blah blah) but you put in too many hard stuff, it might turn some people off. Its important to make sure each game have a set theme/genre for people with specific taste. With that said, I'm interested in a bigger larger game rather than have a ton of tech demos. I'm totally down for femdom +futas in this game.

Yeah well, I think everyone would prefer a larger game every month...but a lot of you guys are underestimating the time it takes to create even a solid basis like the one I've done with FCity. The game is called Femdom City...and that is already a pretty narrowed down audience, like it is with all my games. There will be optional stuff...and it will be hard, cruel and extreme! Also some bad endings will be very hard...just because you already have the regular jobs that are pure femdom (you can earn money by being a bdsm toy, hanged by a skullmakeup woman. It's already that weird). So...thanks for the warning, but it's my goal to fullfill every femdom and futadoms fetish with that game...and that will include the real nasty stuff as well (mostly being optional...but still in the game)

It would be amazing if watersports/human toilet and assworship were included. Perhaps some sort of cuckold/bi options too. With the difficulty, I guess the ideal is to make it so you have to put effort into gaining the feelings of which ever mistress/es the player wants in order to gain a sense of achievement/earning it. Maybe have a separate area/mission that has extra difficulty for those who really want a very hard challenge, and that has some sort of interesting one-off result/cut scene?

Hello! There are a couple of suggestions :) First of all, about the ending. You once asked what option we would like to see. Perhaps the game should add the presets of the main character? Something similar to what was in the BDSM Tournament. They would affect the starting parameters (a little), on some dialogs and would lead to different endings. For example, you can add a preset of a person who hates femdom (How can this be ?!). And he is really forced to do all this, and therefore, his goal is to escape from the city (I would never go from there =] ). And vice versa, you can choose some kind of foot slave (it's me xD), whose goal is to live, settle and eternally serve in Femdom City. I understand this is very difficult and long, but it's like thinking aloud :)

I'd like to think that you can choose what you want him to be through your playstyle. Why would a preset be needed? You can set the goal yourself, if you want to escape femdom city, do everything you can to achieve that. Want to hate femdom and the mistresses and insult them, then do so. Want to live as a Femdom City Footslave? work at the underpass, look for a foot mistress, get the high quality foot worship jobs in uptown and try to get your own flat. Don't see why presets would be needed for that ;)

Had this problem myself. Turned out i just had to open it in WinRAR manually from the FileExplorer. If that doesn't work i suggest reinstalling WinRAR, as you may have an old version.

I think something interesting to put in might be some element of "financial" domination. Maybe have a character or group who you can pay tribute to, outside of the tax/rent thing. It might be a nice compliment to the grinding, in whatever capacity you end up including that. Maybe have a "the more you pay, the more you pay" thing going on, where they keep demanding more and more, so it becomes difficult to pay your taxes. You could have them offer a way out, maybe where you have to do something extra humiliating to be able to make the money back. Not sure that's something anyone would want to see, but I think it might be interesting.

Don't want to give anything away, but it works really neat, is percentage based, kind of like in the real world...don't know if I can pull it off correctly though so let us wait and see :). The first interest that most mistresses have in you when you sign a contract with them is making money off of you ;)

Good day to you Darktoz, I have more of a question really. It is regarding Futas, as I noticed that when you design them, both here and in the Dark elves game, you create them with testicles, and I just wanted to ask why? I always thought that a futa was supposed to be a female with the ability to perform the male role, as her clitoris could transform into a male "member", but would in the end be and remain a woman (Think of it as a woman+). But by adding a scrotum doesn't it just make it into a man with plastic surgery to resemble a female, or a transvestite in orther words (No offense inteded to LGBT), but still a man in the end. When futa is mentioned what comes to mind is for example what older titles like Bible Black, Space Pirate Sarah, Star Jewel or even Taimanin Asagi used to show, a female that can morph her sexual organ into a male sexual organ at will, but would still be females. TECHNICALLY speaking: "Gonads start developing as a common primordium (an organ in the earliest stage of development), in the form of gonadal ridges, and only later are differentiated to male or female sex organs. The presence of the SRY gene, located on the Y chromosome and encoding the testis determining factor, determines male sexual differentiation. In the absence of the SRY gene from the Y chromosome, the female sex (ovaries instead of testes) will develop". In other words, when gender is defined for the fetus/embryo they will develop testicles OR ovaries, so if the testicles are present in a character, he will be by definition a man, which brings my question: Wouldn't that make a scene with such a character and the MC a homoerotic scene more than a Femdom scene? I think it will be 25%-30% futa content, although it's hard to estimate...right now it is optional/skipable, but I don't know if that will be so throughout the game. And rendering every single futa scene twice with a strapon instead of a cock is not an option

I think I understand, so futa =/ from dickgirl, the first one being what is presented in the game and the second one being more similar to what I was describing, and to be honest I always thought they were one and the same. What makes you angry about the topic? Is it the categorization of fetishes/fantasies or is it the stigmatization of people because of their sexual preferences? The concept of sexuality (different from gender) and how the roles are defined is one that has been set by post Christian society. IN ancient societies, including great warrior races like the Ancient Greeks, Romans, Spartans and Samurai all openly practiced bisexuality. It could be argued that bisexuality is the default state for most humans, like it is in most animal societies. You're right, of course, in your description of gender from a purely biological standpoint but the psychological elements of gender identity are far from clearly defined. Besides, its just a game. Personally, I regard the content in games of this nature to be just erotic, rather than singularly hetero-erotic or homo-erotic. That's kind of in the eye of the beholder and how they choose to perceive it.

Thanks. I downloaded WinZip free and managed to open it. The app I was using before, it turned out, didn't work on any Darktotz games, but worked fine with other, similar file types for some reason. Maybe it was out of date, like you suggested. The demo is very short but has me really excited for more now, looks great.

About "bisexuality" I could not agree more, and to be more specific Alexander the Great for example, apparently did hold very close emotional relationships with his friend Hephaestion and with the iranian/bactrian princess Roxana. mmh...i like that but it's not easy implementing it so that it feels right and doesn't interfere with the mechanics of the game. the only thing that would kind of work would be speech bubbles, and I'm not sure if even that is going to work...keep in mind that all the story encounters and unique work opportunities will have loads of text
