Hi Patrons...

There is NOT a lot to say about the process of this drawing...so I will JUST get right on into it.

It began with a simple sketch in the apple notes app of course.

I then brought it into Adobe Fresco and tried to refine it further but found that my typical brushes weren't "giving" and then something frightful occurred...

I brought it into.. PROCREATE!!!! And there I sketched it out like the good ole days. Or maybe I did this part in Fresco, I don't remember. But the final lineart and coloring was done in Procreate. Here is the "refined" sketch:

Although the contents of the pages are mostly empty, the final lineart and idea did not stray far from this sketch. I kept the lineart super basic and pretty messy! In procreate, the world just works a little differently. Something simply comes over me and I draw the same way as those many years ago...

The next stage in this process was just doin lineart! I did basic lineart with some areas colored in more solid and others with some parallel hatching. My brush has a multiply blend mode on it so when it overlaps there's darker areas that I think are interesting.. its buildable! Here is the art with just lines! I think it looks neat.

The artwork on the papers is very crudely done without hardly any reference, as you can tell. For Ellie on the right and "Geralt" on the bottom left, I took those linearts from actual fanart I made lol. I was too lazy to draw them again... I needed a reference for John Marston and Korra and the yellow MnM.. and Carlos Sainz. I SHOULD'VE used a reference for this dollar store Anakin Sywalker on the bottom right but its ok.

The color? It's very basic. I put a solid pink under the lineart as a sort of underpainting and then I color semi-transparently on top. I'll show you a picture of just the color layers. (ugly warning!)

I have to speak real and true from the heart. Coloring like this really THROWS ME OFF. I don't account for the fact that the pink is gonna show through and my colors look foul without a little effort. But I made do. And I do this every time and it is still confusing.

I then colored the background black (classic) and that was that! Then I messed around with gradient masks and then the purpler version was born. And that's it really!

Hope u enjoy it...
