the story now is that (thanks to the unfortunate large support on my latest ig post of carlos sainz) i will be moving forward with drawing f1 drivers even more relentlessly than before. This is with the guidance of my brother, a long time fan, who suggests more and more people for me to draw.

I NEEDED more drawings of lando norris as the last ones simply weren’t up to my incredibly high standards as a skilled and professional artist. these are those.

Moving forward, we will draw the likes of charles leclerc (honestly.. he does not look fun to draw im sorry!!!) to get it out of the way and then ill excitedly be drawing fernando alonso, lewis hamilton, and daniel ricciardo. i would ideally like these all to follow suit and have a main portrait as well as many a small study. all done traditionally, and sold as a set of postcards.

i plan to also include michael schumacher, niki lauda, and ayrton senna🇧🇷 as single drawings.

fans of max verstappen and apparently, oscar piastri, sit down as you will not be represented. its not personal.

my sources (me) are telling me that this is something that could last over a month. buckle in and i apologize 🫡

can confirm drawing alonso is a joy (also justice for max and oscar, but it is understandable)

I don't know shit about F1 but I'm so here for your traditional drawings!!! can i ask what pen you use for the initial sketch? i can never find colored marker-proof fine liners D:

ahh yes i feel your struggle. the top one is tombow fudenosuke brush pen (they have multiple colors and waterproof and pigment based) covered in posca paint pens which i think are water based. for the rest i actually do a initial sketch with copics. i use the same market in blue for the little one on the right and covered it with copic markers which are alcohol based and it didn’t budge. the other two i do the same way but then also go over the posca with the pentel artist sign brush pen which is water based! when i put it over the posca, it sort of absorbs it and makes it layerable which is super cool. doesn’t bleed or smudge either. i love to layer and i dont really think about it too much i just try not to overwork my previous lives with the markers

so the tombow ones are definitely great for your needs. don’t fade either. they are brush pens but firm and small so easy to work with but you still can get some variation in line weight

love these guys and their cool suits sm... would you ever draw the racers as in the cars?? i feel like they would look so cool in ur style but also i personally hate drawing vehicles of any kind!!

hahaha yea i hate drawing an object but the cars looks pretty cooool tbh. i think i would perhaps be obsessive over it looking perfectly accurate. perhaps i may attempt one day…
