WHAT IS UP CITIZENS OF THE MODERN WORLD!!!!!!!

Here is my drawings of web slinger!!!! It all started with a girl and a crazy dream...

In reality it started with IMAGE 2. Or something akin to it. Which is a sketch of a cowboy mid air. I am trying this thing nowadays where I try to be more casual with my sketches. So I do a mega rough sketch AND THEN I SILHOUETTE IT. This means blocking a very geometric clean shape under it. This makes the sketches super clean and I can see the whole silhouette and it just makes it clearer to you if the sketch has good bones. IMAGE 3 shows a similar stage but just with more elements. I really wanted to add his poncho(??) and get that shape in there nicely. And still have it able to see his under outfit. And then I sketched a horsie. I used a horsie ref and then some refs for the equipment/saddle (BELOW).

IMAGE 4 is a rough color stage. Not much to say about that one -its dimensionality did not go far. And I didn't like how plain the background was. I ultimately landed on a more flat coloring and this hatchy background which really sent me back to my roots..... and the cowboy and everything I was teleported.

IMAGE 5 is my other sketchier "concept"y webslinger. I just love him and wanted to draw him and thats really all that this came from. I really like the geometric shape and lineart with basic coloring. Then I drew a semi realistic interpretation of his face underneath which is like 50% dutch van der linde and 40% orlando bloom and 10% pedro pascal.
