Hello all.

Here finally is my final drawings of Aurora and Olivia Rodrigo. Not sure if this needs a whole lot of saying but this process was pretty much just rendering as you would expect...and lots of hands... But I do have many photos. Perhaps ideas will spark to me once I show them.

This is clearly the sketch. Done in the notes app on me ipad of course. It is not great but it is real. I will then upload it into Adobe Fresco.

This is in Fresco I have made it a little less busted and added an orange base underneath. I have done something to the sketch to make it not black it seems. Maybe I put orange on top with the darken blending mode. Then on top of everything I start coloring crazy loose to get it all started.

This is a step further in the rendering process. I suppose all I do is start to specify the colors a bit more and put them where they go. I do the faces first and then do the hands last.

Another step. I deleted Aurora's red clothing to make the (frankly ugly) colors between both of the drawings more harmonious. I tried adding red to Olivia but was NOT having it. In hindsight, the red with the blood I eventually add to Aurora could've been cool.

When I am drawing like this, I will merge all the layers together when I am liking how things are going. I'll duplicate the entire layer at certain points so that I can go back and look at all these separate stages when I am done.

And then I guess I simply "did the hands" and finished everything up. I think I over rendered Olivia's face in a way that is not harmonious with the Aurora drawing. But that is ok. Sometimes it just happens!

I really like the one of Aurora I am very proud of my hand rendering skill in that one. I ended up adding blood to Aurora because the reference is from her newest music video which had her covered in blood! I didn't add it when I was drawing her at first because it simply would just make it harder. But perhaps most people would keep the blood there the whole time. Who am I to say I am just one person....
