October Status Update (Patreon)

hey folks, just a short update for you this time around~

we're going to take a little break from posting stuff this week, while we work to finish off the second half of Really Strange Stuff

next week we'll be posting some commission chapters, and our plan is to get back to our regular schedule starting on Oct. 21 with the rest of RSS.

beyond that we have a few more things we're working on, but nothing anywhere near ready to post yet.

we've got a couple chapters of the Pink Gold sequel, and a couple chapters of Daughters of Demeter book 7. we also have a bunch of notes for more Fox(girl)ificated, and our muse even came up with some ideas for another installment to the Witches of Welland saga.

i should also mention Club Luna. we've been agonizing over what to do about that story for an entire year! so i promise, the decision to end it was not taken quickly or lightly. it basically came down to a few reasons, why we decided to bring that story to a close.

first off the format didn't really work anymore, after half the gang became overpowered immortals. second off, the format was initially devised to work around the high-school setting. so it got a little harder to make it fit when almost half of the gang were at college / univeristy. and finally Cass/andra and Sasha and Kaylee had definitely moved on to bigger things, going after the status quo.

so if we'd kept Club Luna going for another installment, we'd have either had to change the format completely to follow Cass/andra in their crusade, or we'd have had to change the M/C to someone else (probably Melanie) to stick with the original Club Luna concept. but either way it felt like that would become a different story. it wouldn't be Club Luna anymore.

idk yet if RSS is going to end up being 'the new club luna' or if its more of a transitonal story to get us from CL and into whatever comes next. we'll hafta get thru the 2nd half of that story before we know where it fits in things.

anyways thats all we have to say for now.

Really strange stuff definitely has the whole "investigating supernatural events" deal that club luna always had so in a lot of ways it can work well as a spiritual successor to it if that's your plan.

yeah its definitely a contender. the RSS crew could also end up getting more involved with Cass/andra and the anti-status-quo crusade. at least Callie seems pretty enthusiastic to get on board with chaos. it'll probably boil down to what angle we end up focusing on - 'normal' supernatural investigations, or big world-changing schemes

Dunno, after the dog finally catches the car, doesn't some of the magic go out of chasing it? Or in this case, once the magic is everywhere, does RSS still have as much of a mission? Unless of course they switch to helping expand and explain chaotic magic rather than just exploring the unknown.

Another Fox Girl

While we're happy to see where things go one way or another for club Luna, we'd certainly be happy to see a story from Melanie's perspective. We love werewolves so much and Club Luna actually sparked a special interest in them for us. One way or another we're happy to be along for the ride! But really, more werewolf content would send us over the m- well you get the idea.
