"I can't believe I'm saying this," Chelsea commented while her ears stood up and her tail slowly swished back and forth, "But I'm not even sure I want to go home anymore. I keep thinking, maybe we could just stay here instead?"
Gwyneth nodded slowly, "Same. Although I suppose we might eventually get bored of all this. Someday. Maybe?"
"Maybe," I shrugged. "Until then, we may as well enjoy it."
The three of us were sitting naked on a beach towel next to our little lagoon. We all had chilled tropical drinks with us, and the biggest challenge we currently faced was figuring out how we wanted to spend our afternoon.
With that in mind I had a sip of my drink then asked, "What do you two feel like doing next? We still haven't done much exploring, wanna try and climb up the mountain? It's not that high, and I bet we could see the whole island from up there."
"Maybe tomorrow," Chels replied as she leaned forward and stretched, while her tail stuck straight out behind her. Then she flashed Gwen and I a naughty smile, "I'm up for a different kind of workout. How about we head back into the tent? We can put that air-mattress to good use again, and avoid sunburns all at the same time."
That put a smile on the elf girl's face, but I just rolled my eyes. With 'safe mode' on we didn't even tan in the blazing tropical sun, so there was no way we'd get burns. I wasn't surprised by Chelsea's answer though. We'd been here for three days now, and that was always her first suggestion when it came to picking an activity. That or skinny-dipping in the ocean. Or nude sunbathing.
In fact it wasn't long after she declared the beach to be 'clothing optional' that she extended that rule to the entire island. And with all three of us being young and hot and in love, it meant there was plenty of temptation going on almost all the time.
"Chelsea's got a point about the air-mattress and tent," Gwen commented. "And I think I've had enough sun for now."
I gave Gwyneth a questioning look, "You're not even a little curious to explore the rest of the island?"
"Not right now," the elf girl mumbled, while her cheeks heated up. Then she added, "We can do that tomorrow though. For sure."
Chels grinned, "Sorry Lisa. It looks like you're out-voted two to one."
I rolled my eyes again then picked up my drink before standing up. I pretended to be disappointed when I responded, "Oh no, my two amazing gorgeous girlfriends are insisting I go to bed with them. Whatever have I done to deserve such a cruel fate?"
The little catgirl giggled while the tall hot mage just smirked. Then the three of us turned and headed the dozen or so meters away from the lagoon, to the big tent we had set up on the edge of the jungle.
One of the 'assignments' Annie left me with was to get used to using my interface all the time. She wanted me to be comfortable and confident with it, so I wouldn't hesitate before using it whenever the need came up. And I'd definitely been doing a lot of that over the last couple days.
Our first night here we tried just using bedrolls on the ground, like we'd done back on Daearen. That's when we found out the jungle was full of things that crawled and slithered all night long, and while none of them could hurt us it wasn't exactly a fun experience.
So I summoned us up a big two-room tropical tent. It had bug-proof netting for walls, a water-proof ground sheet for a floor, and water-proof nylon for the roof. It kept the creepy-crawlies out, and kept us dry incase it rained, but let the fresh air come through. And once we had that, it didn't make sense not to be comfortable too. So next came the big queen-sized air-mattress. And some soft silk sheets. And matching pillows.
Then once the bedroom side was done I went ahead and furnished the front room too. I got us a set of comfy folding camp chairs and a matching table. That way we could have our meals in comfort, without worrying about bugs getting in the way.
Speaking of food, I'd been conjuring that up as well, along with most of our drinks. The only exception there was Gwen insisted on providing all the cream we needed for our morning coffee. And of course our horny catgirl enjoyed a little fresh milk throughout the day.
Except it turned out Chelsea had a different kind of drink on her mind just then. She guided me to lay back ontop of the sheets, then got down on her knees in between my legs. And with her ears and tail all standing up in excitement she licked her lips and smiled, before leaning in and getting started.

"Wow," I commented quietly as I slowly turned on the spot. "What an incredible view."
Gwen nodded in agreement, "It's beautiful."
After six full days on the island we'd finally made the climb to the top of the mountain. Or rather, the top of the volcano. When we got to the peak we found ourselves on the edge of a very obvious crater. It seemed dormant though, so we weren't worried. And more importantly, the view really was amazing.
We could see almost the entire island stretching out to the south-east below us. The only part we couldn't see was the north-western edge, since that was at the base of the opposite side of the volcano. The parts we could see were gorgeous though. Rolling hills covered in thick green tropical rainforest. Beautiful sandy beaches stretched nearly all the way around. We could even pick out our little lagoon, and the light blue nylon roof of our tent.
Out beyond the shore we could see the barrier reefs, they almost completely surrounded and protected the island. Looking further out, the ocean water grew darker and probably deeper. But the water between the beach and the reef seemed fairly shallow and safe. At least that's how it was in the stretch where we'd been swimming anyways.
The shallow water out around the reef was also full of fish. Not that we'd tried to catch any, but we'd seen them while we were skinny-dipping out there. If we weren't using my laptop to conjure up our meals then the island would have had more than enough to sustain us. Not just fish either, in the past six days we'd encountered wild boars, smaller mammals like buns and something squirrelly, and plenty of birds too. There were lots of tropical fruits as well, like coconuts and mangos and things.
"Hey look!" Chelsea suddenly pointed at something in the distance to the north. "Do you see that?"
Gwen and I both looked, then the tall sexy elf nodded. "Oh yeah! Another island! What do you figure, that's about fifteen kilometres away?"
"Yeah about fifteen I think," I replied. "I could find out for sure on the map. Our island is part of an archipelago, there's like two or three dozen of them around us."
The little catgirl smiled, "Cool. Maybe we should check out the others too?"
I shook my head, "I'm pretty sure some of the other ones are inhabited. I picked this one because there wasn't anyone else here."
"Oh right," she nodded. Then she smiled again, "Probably for the best anyways. This island's perfect, we don't need anything else."
Gwyneth and I both agreed with that sentiment, then all three of us went back to our sight-seeing again. It was only another half minute though before Chelsea spoke up again.
She was still looking to the north as she commented, "I think you're right about that island being inhabited, Lisa. I'm pretty sure I can see boats out there."
"Seriously?" I asked as I squinted into the distance to the north once again.
Then Gwen nodded, "She's right! I can see them too, I think? Well, I see the sails anyways. They look like little coloured triangles, riding the waves."
It took me another few seconds before I finally spotted them myself. They were just on the edge of being visible, but I was sure my girlfriends were right. There were about a dozen boats out there, between us and that other island.
I finally suggested, "They're probably fishing. Considering how many fish we've seen out near the reef, the ocean here's probably full of them."
Gwyneth and Chelsea both agreed with that, and we watched the distant boats for another minute or so before we all focused on other things. When the next little discovery came it was our mage who pointed it out.
"Look down there!" she gestured with her staff to the south-west. "Are you sure this place is uninhabited? Because those look like huts."
Chels and I both looked where she was pointing, and sure enough there was a clearing there in the jungle. And in that clearing were a series of round and oblong structures that had to be man-made. They were the colour of dried vegetation, like the roofs were probably made of dried palm fronds or something similar. The area was almost directly opposite from our own camp, probably only a couple kilometres due west of our lagoon.
I frowned, "You're right, that does look man-made. It must be abandoned though. The total human population here is zero, apart from the three of us."
"Want to go check it out?" I asked a moment later. "It might be interesting to see what sorts of stuff the locals left behind. Like if there's any tools, or art or whatever. Even just the huts and things might be interesting."
Chelsea pulled her phone out of a pouch on her belt as she nodded, "Yeah that sounds cool. I want to take some pictures up here first though, because the view really is great."
Then as she started snapping photos of the different views she added, "I can't believe it took us almost a week to come up here. We should have done this days ago!"
That made me roll my eyes as I reminded her, "You're the reason we put it off for so long. Every time I asked, all you wanted to do was more sex."
"That's not my fault!" the little catgirl protested, while her ears folded back and her tail twitched behind her. "How can I resist, when one of my girlfriends is always showing off the biggest most amazing gock I've ever seen? And the other one's constantly teasing me with her big beautiful milk-filled boobs?!"
"Chelsea you're the one who decided the whole island was a 'clothing optional' zone. You're the reason all three of us spent the last six days without any clothes on," I stated in a flat voice.
Gwen looked like she was trying not to smile as she quietly pointed out, "The only reason we got dressed today was so we could do this hike."
She had a point there. This was actually the first time we'd put clothes on since we got here. Not that any of us were all that covered up, Chels and I were in shorts and crop-tops while the elf girl wore a sundress. She had her staff with her too, since it worked as well for hiking as it did for her mage stuff.
"Anyways," I said as I gestured towards the abandoned village, "Do you two want to go check out those huts? Or have you already had enough exploration for today?"
"Yeah ok Lisa," Gwyneth nodded. "I'd like to get a closer look at it. Like you said, it should be interesting."
The little catgirl agreed too, "Sure let's go have a look. We can always get back to the sexy stuff afterwards."
I just rolled my eyes again as the three of us turned and started making our way back down the side of the volcano.
It only took an hour or so to reach the base of the mountain, then it was less than thirty minutes to pick our way through the jungle towards the abandoned village. We finally emerged from the thick vegetation into a wide open clearing.
Apart from some weeds and low bushes here and there the ground was mostly well-trodden dirt, like this place had probably been used for a long time before everyone finally left. The structures looked to be in pretty good shape too, like they hadn't been abandoned that long ago. And they were obviously well-maintained when the people were here.
The huts all seemed to have a similar construction, even though there were a few different styles. They all used solid wood supports to hold up the walls and roof, and they all had dirt floors that were solidly packed. The roofs were made of thick layers of wide overlapping leaves, held in place by thinner woven branches. The smaller huts had walls made the same way as the roofs only not as thick, while the larger huts were mixed. One of them had walls, another didn't, and the last one had two walls and two half-walls.
We also found what looked like a large fire pit, near the bigger structure that didn't have any walls. And finally, about fifty meters beyond the village we could see a little natural harbour. It looked like an ideal spot to land boats, with only mild waves and a wide curved sandy beach.
"I figure the smaller huts are houses," Chelsea commented as we wandered around. "Like they're private dwellings, for separate families maybe? The bigger buildings would have different purposes. Like a meeting hall, or a dining area, maybe the enclosed one is for storage?"
Gwen nodded slowly, "That makes sense. There's about a dozen of the smaller ones, so maybe fifty or sixty people in total?"
"I wonder why they abandoned this place?" the elf girl added with a frown. "These buildings are all in really good shape. And we know the island's got lots of fish, and there's loads of fruit and wild animals around."
That left me frowning as well, same with Chels. After a couple seconds the little catgirl's eyes widened and she grimaced as if she'd just realized something.
"They didn't abandon it!" Chelsea announced in a worried voice. "They're nomads, remember? They travel from island to island! So who's to say they don't have permanent structures set up on all their usual -"
She cut herself off as her ears twitched. Then all three of us turned at once towards the bay. Sure enough four of those boats we'd seen in the distance earlier were heading for the beach, and it wasn't hard to guess the rest of the vessels would be following close behind them.
Now that they were only a couple hundred meters away we could see they weren't fishing boats at all. They were huge outrigger canoes, with big triangular sails on top. Each one was a couple dozen meters long, and had enclosed deckhouses so there was no way to guess how many people were on board. They looked big enough to hold at least twenty people inside, not counting the dozen or so we could already see on the decks. And at least some of them must have noticed us too, the way they were shouting and pointing.
Chelsea's ears folded back and her tail puffed out as she asked, "What do we do? Those guys have already spotted us!"
"Hang on!" Gwen grimaced as she moved her staff around.
She mumbled some magic words, and a moment later it was like all the colour vanished from the world. Everything turned black and white, while my girlfriends seemed to fade into shadowy outlines.
"There," our mage whispered. "Invisibility spell, so they can't see us."
I nodded, "Good thinking. Now let's get out of here!"
