=::= Kimberly's PoV =::=

"No mail today?" I asked mom. "Did we get any packages for me?"

She shook her head, "Not today Kim. You know yesterday and Friday were both holidays though, mail's always slow after a holiday. Maybe tomorrow?"

I sighed. Tomorrow was my and Tina's birthday, and I really didn't want to work tomorrow night. It was starting to look like I'd have to though. Unless the package didn't come tomorrow either. I had no idea what I'd do in that case. Maybe I'd be forced to revisit an older toy. Or maybe me and my sister would have to make a sex-video instead.

The only thing I could be sure of was one way or another there'd be a new video ready for Thursday night. I hadn't missed my weekly upload once since Jay forced me to start doing that work over a year and a half ago.

Mom gave me a sympathetic smile and said "I know you're really committed to your OnlyFans hon, but it won't kill you and Tina to take a week off you know? Your subscribers will forgive you."

"Yeah," I sighed again. "I'm sure you're right. Thanks mom."

Both mom and dad were really open-minded and understanding about our review videos, but neither of them knew it wasn't our choice or that we couldn't actually quit. There was no way I'd tell them what Jay did to me and Tina. I couldn't tell them how they were affected either. Before he messed up my life and my family, my folks would never have accepted me doing sex-videos. And there wouldn't be a chance in hell they'd be so accepting of everything me and my twin sister got up to together.

I turned to head back downstairs to our basement apartment but mom asked, "Do you and Tina want to join your dad and I for dinner tonight?"

"No thanks mom," I shook my head. "We already ordered a pizza. Anyways, the four of us will be having dinner tomorrow night right? And cake?"

Mom grinned, "You don't have to remind me hon."

I smiled as well then headed back downstairs to the basement apartment I shared with Tina.

My identical twin sister was sitting on the little love-seat in front of our TV, but she wasn't watching it. Instead she had a large book open on her lap, she was staring at it with a thoughtful frown on her face.

"Hey sis?" I asked as moved to sit beside her. "What's up, what are you looking at?"

She replied without looking up, "Our high-school yearbook."

I recognized it as I sat down next to her. I leaned closer so my thigh was pressing against hers and wrapped my arm around her shoulders. I looked down at the pictures in the book and saw ours were there next to each other in the middle of the page. Christina and Kimberly. We were inseparable, each other's best and closest friend since forever.

Except it was all lies. When I told her about the stuff Jay did to us, I left that part out. I knew it would only upset her, and there was nothing we could do about it anyways so no point making her feel worse. And even if I knew we weren't originally sisters, we had a lifetime of memories with each other. And the love we felt for each other was genuine, same with the love our parents had for both of us.

"What are you looking at that old thing for?" I asked. "You can't be nostalgic already, it's not even three years yet. Or is it because we're almost through college? Two more months till we graduate and have to start thinking about getting jobs..."

My voice trailed off at that thought. We both had high marks in our computer programming course, and on the one hand we'd both probably be able to find work in that field. On the other hand we probably wouldn't both get a job at the same place, and I had no idea what that'd be like.

Thanks in part to what Jay did to us, me and Tina did everything together, shared everything. I couldn't imagine what it'd be like if we had separate jobs. I wasn't even sure if we'd be able to do that, or if some magical compulsion would kick in and interfere with our lives again.

"Not nostalgic. Not exactly anyways," she replied as she shook her head. Then she turned to look at me and asked, "Kim do you remember a guy called Craig Poplawski?"

"Um," I frowned as I thought back. "Ok yeah. Vaguely. He was one of the popular guys, a bit of a jock. A bit of a jerk too I think. Actually now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure he went to the same college as us? I don't think I've seen him around lately though. Why?"

She gestured towards the yearbook, "He's not in here. We are, same with everyone else we knew. But no Craig."

I shrugged, "Ok? Maybe he missed the day they took the pictures? Or maybe he didn't want to be in the yearbook?"

"Or maybe he got erased when Jay was messing with things and changing reality," she said quietly.

Her words sent a little shock of fear through me. We hadn't talked about any of that stuff in months. Maybe even a year now, it was so long ago. We both knew what Jay did to us, at least the stuff that impacted our day-to-day lives, but after all this time we were more or less used to it.

"What makes you say that?" I asked warily. "Is everything ok?"

She turned back a few pages through the yearbook then stopped in the middle of the grade ten student pictures. She pointed at one of them, "There's Julie Poplawski. Craig was her big brother. She still exists. She's in her first year of college now. She actually goes to the same one we do? I looked her up on social media, exchanged a couple messages with her."

Tina sighed, "I didn't let anything on, just asked a few vague questions. She doesn't remember ever having a brother. She's an only child now."

I felt my heart racing and my stomach was cold and heavy as she told me this. I gulped, "Sis what are you saying? What's all this about? How do you know Jay did something to Craig?"

My twin sister shrugged slightly, and with a sad smile she told me. "Because that was me. I was Craig Poplawski, before Jay turned me into your twin sister."

My heart skipped a beat and I felt my stomach lurch. My emotions churned, between sadness, fear, guilt, and horror. I always knew she'd been someone else, but Jay never told me who she was before. And as far as I knew, that knowledge died with him.

"How..." I half-whispered. "How do you know? How did you find out?"

My sister shook her head slightly as she closed the yearbook and put it down on our coffee table.

"I don't remember anything about that life," she said softly. "I don't remember being him, all I know is the name. I'm still Christina, still your twin sister. I'm still me, is what I'm saying Kim. So don't worry about that."

"But how did you find out?" I asked nervously. My heart was racing and I almost felt nauseous, this was bringing up all the feelings and fears I had back then.

Tina grimaced, "It's a long story. But first..."

She leaned away from me and reached down, then picked up a small boutique shopping bag from the far side of the love-seat.

"I know our birthday's not till tomorrow, but I wanted to give you this ahead of time. I got us a little gift, a matched set for the two of us."

I watched as she reached into the bag, and to my surprise she pulled out two pairs of lace panties. One was pastel pink, the other was pastel purple. The colours almost matched our hair. They were sexy, definitely counted as lingerie, and would probably look amazing on us both. Except thanks to Jay neither of us could wear panties. We couldn't own them. We couldn't even buy them.

Tina handed me the purple ones and kept the pink ones for herself as she smiled, "I know we've already got bras that'll match them. I was thinking we could wear them tomorrow, for our birthday."

I shook my head as I looked at them, "But we can't... How'd you even get them?"

My twin sister took a deep breath then confessed, "Saturday while you were out, I messed with Jay's magic stone. The broken pieces? I took them out of the jar sis. And they talked to me."

"What?" I gasped. My blood ran cold and I felt nauseous with fear as I stared at her. "Tina you know how dangerous that thing is! I told you..."

"I know," she nodded. "It's ok sis. It tried to trick me, but I didn't let it. I learned what I could from it, and..."

Tina hesitated, then shrugged. "After all this time, it had a little power left. Enough to fix a couple things for you and me. I broke a couple of the compulsions Jay put on us. We can wear panties if we want. And we can skip a week of our video reviews. We could even quit if we wanted, we're not going to be forced to do that anymore."

I gulped as I continued staring at her. "What about..."

She shook her head "That's it. We're still identical twin sisters obviously. Still as close as we always were sis."

I nodded slowly and asked, "What about the thing with our pet-names?"

My sister smiled and shook her head, "That's still there too."

Her cheeks coloured and she admitted "Actually there was enough power to remove that but I kind of like that one? When it's just between us anyways."

After a brief pause she stated, "Then I used the last of the power in the stone to destroy it once and for all."

"How?" I frowned. "What did you do to it?"

Tina grinned and pulled something else out of that little bag. It was a shiny black eight inch dildo.

"I turned it into a plastic sex toy," she smirked. "No magic, no rune, no power. Just a harmless lump of plastic."

My eyebrows crept up as I reached out and took it from her. It was smooth hard plastic and had a bit of heft to it, but it wasn't glass or stone or anything like that. And despite what she just said about not having to do the videos, my first thought was I could try it out tonight on camera and have a review ready for Thursday.

Tina shrugged, "I figured we could keep it, maybe play with it? Or maybe just toss it in the trash. Like I said, it's harmless now. It'll never hurt anyone again."

I stared quietly at the toy in my hand for a few seconds, then asked "How does turning the stone into this get rid of the magic?"

She explained, "After you smashed it, there was still some magic left? Or it slowly recharged I guess. Like you were worried about, it was still dangerous. Now it's not a magic stone, and it's not pieces of a magic stone. I literally turned it into something else, erased the magic stone the same way Jay erased Craig."

As happy as I was knowing the stone was gone forever, her comparison left me feeling uncomfortable again.

"Tina?" I asked softly. "How did you find out that stuff about... About who you were before? Even I didn't know that."

"You knew I wasn't really your sister though, right?" she asked just as softly. She didn't sound upset or angry, her tone was just a little bit sad. Kind of like my own.

I sighed, "I knew you weren't always my sister, but..."

My voice trailed off for a moment, then I put my arm around her again and pulled her into a hug. "When Jay changed stuff, he changed reality right? So even if you weren't always my sister, you and I really are sisters now. We're identical twin sisters, and that's real. I hope you understand that? And I hope you know I love you no matter what."

Tina slipped an arm around me as well. She returned the hug, and gave me a long kiss on the lips.

Then she pulled back and replied, "I know sis. And you're right. We're sisters, we're twins, and I love you too. The stuff I found out on Saturday doesn't change anything. Not between us. And it's not like anyone misses that other guy. Apart from us nobody knows he ever existed. No-one else even knows his name. I'm glad he had a sister though? I'm glad his parents still have her, so they're not all alone."

I knew she was trying to make me feel better but it still hurt. Not for my sake, but it made me feel bad for Tina. I felt sad for who she once was, the life that was stolen from her, and the family she lost and who lost her. Even if none of them would ever know what was missing, I was still sad for what was taken from them.

And despite knowing her original name, I couldn't remember much about who she was before. If that person had any interactions with the person I used to be, it was all lost when Jay erased my memories of my original life. So all I had were the vague memories of a jock I'd seen a few times around high school and college, but never really knew.

"You never told me how you found out about your old life," I whispered as Tina and I held each other.

My sister hesitated, then whispered back "Jay told me. He...his soul was trapped in the broken stone."

Once again it felt like my blood ran cold and my stomach lurched.

I looked Tina in the eyes and asked, "What? You talked to him? What happened?"

She shrugged slightly, "He was an abusive asshole, but he couldn't do anything. He talked, he gloated. He said my special name like a dozen times just to rile me up. But like I said, he couldn't actually do anything. He tried to convince me to free him. He thought he could bully me into restoring him and the stone? He wanted me to turn him loose on the world again."

I continued staring at my sister with wide eyes as her words sank in, and a little shudder of fear went through me at the thought of Jay coming back to life with that stone again.

"It's ok sis," Tina said as she hugged me tighter. "He was a misogynistic dick, he thought it'd be easy to boss me around. Instead I learned as much as I could from him about what was left of the stone, and used it to help us both."

"What happened to him?" I asked in an uneasy voice.

My twin sister smirked, "He was trapped in the broken stone. I turned what was left of the stone into that dildo. He's literally a useless plastic dick."

I felt my lips trying to turn up into a grin, "Seriously? Now I don't know if I want to fuck it or throw it in a gutter."

Before Tina could respond there was a knock from the back door, signalling the arrival of our pizza.

"You girls have a good night," dad said with a smile. "And happy birthday."

Christina smiled back at him and replied, "Thanks daddy!"

"Thanks dad!" I added with a grin.

We both gave him a hug, then we hugged mom too.

She hugged us back and commented, "You know, I don't even remember the last time I saw you two in jeans? But you look good tonight."

Tina and I smiled as we exchanged a look. We were both in matching skin-tight jeans. We went over to the mall after classes and tried on a dozen different pairs, before picking the pre-faded blue ones. It was as much for our birthday as to celebrate the fact that the two most annoying compulsions Jay did to us were gone.

I figured out today at school we still had the kink - no panties and short skirts was still fun and exciting - but it was no longer mandatory. And both of us were really happy to be able to wear pants when we wanted.

And our little shopping trip was just the start of a really nice evening. Mom and dad took me and Tina out for dinner, we went to a fancy restaurant and had a good meal. Then we came back home for cake and ice cream, and finally the four of us watched a movie together on dad's big TV.

Now it was late and our folks were ready for bed, while my sister and I were ready to finish celebrating in private.

"Thanks mom," Tina replied with a grin. "They were a last-minute gift to each other."

As the two of us started for the basement stairs mom added, "Oh Kim! Your package came today. I hope that doesn't mean you two are going to stay up late working tonight?"

My sister and I exchanged another look and a smile, then I shook my head. "No mom. It can wait till tomorrow. Or maybe next week."

"Good," mom nodded. "Good night you two, don't stay up too late."

"Good night mom!" the two of us responded at once, then we both giggled as we headed down to our apartment together.

Not long after, me and Christina were cuddled up in bed. She sighed happily and said "Happy twenty-second birthday, Kim."

I smiled and repeated it back to her, "Happy twenty-second birthday, Tina."

"I've got one last little surprise for you," she whispered. "Though it's sort of a good-news, bad-news thing."

"Oh?" I frowned slightly as I shifted to my side so I was facing her. "What is it?"

Tina looked like she was fighting a smile as she replied, "It's about the thing with our pet-names. Like I said yesterday, I didn't remove it. I kind of changed it though."

Now I felt wary as I asked, "What do you mean, changed it?"

"Well the good news is I fixed it so it won't work for anybody but us," she explained softly. "So if anybody else says those names, it won't have any affect on either of us."

"That does sound good. But what's the bad news?" I asked in a slightly worried tone.

She couldn't hold back the smile anymore. My twin sister smirked and half-whispered, "I made it a whole lot stronger when we say them, Kimmie."

"Holy shit!" I half-yelped as it hit me.

It wasn't just sudden arrousal, it was like going into heat or something. I could hardly think straight as I asked, "Why the fuck would you do that? Chrissy!"

She let out a little squeak as the effects hit her too. Then she pulled us closer together and giggled softly, "Because now we get to work it off together..."

Her lips pressed to mine in a passionate kiss, and that was the end of the conversation. Not that I was going to argue with her reasoning anyways.

Tina and I proceeded to end our birthday the best way possible.

Great ending!

Kylie the Healer Witch

I'm so glad Christina was able to fix some of the stuff Jay did to them💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 Thank you for sharing!!!!!

I’m glad you added this ‘softening’ epilogue to the series. Reading these stories reminds me of the beginning of the Witches of Welland. While that series shifted into a much lighter path, this one stayed on the grimdark one. Yet it still retains some hope and peace for our protagonists.

I love what you did with the ending ♥
