Patreon Update - April 2025 (Patreon)

Hello Rerez Patrons! With Winter in our rear view and Spring just begun, I thought it was a good time to catch you up on what we’ve been up to.

We started 2025 with preparing our latest Worst Ever which launched in March, the "Fake Boy" Voyager plug and play. We also reviewed a whole bunch of controllers for Shane’s hall effect controller video which also launched in March. That started as a fun small video about a couple cool controllers but quickly ballooned into an epic review video.

Coming up we have a new Just Bad Games episode that went into editing this month. And we recorded a new “Shane talks about games” episode that is a bit different. It’s actually a reimagining of a project we began for FilmRez years ago. We’re bringing it back and giving it a new spin. That's in editing right now and will be out in May.

And Shane has spent the last few weeks prepping a new video all about retro controllers that he hasn’t seen anyone cover before. It will be another big one, with a lot of different controllers included, and it’s going to be wild. He’s about to begin scripting for that one so stay tuned.

We had intended to have more videos done by now but we had a couple project cancellations. We’d get started on some things but a while into production we realized they weren’t viable anymore and were forced to abandon them or risk further wasting production time. It’s always disappointing to have a setback but we didn’t see any way to make finished products we would have been happy with.

Speaking of setbacks we also had a PC failure which meant we had to stop everything and figure out the best way to get a replacement. Then our replacement failed. So we had to take a different, more fail-proof approach to replacing that one. Needless to say we lost a lot of production hours to this. But the new new PC seems to be doing great so far!

We're very excited to share with you what we've been working on. And as always thank you for your support of Rerez!

Until next time,
