MHA Bonus Pages "Clothes Storage" (small little comedy segment about Momo not knowing how to use the clothes store's coin lockers bc she's rich) https://share.google/fAZV5qSFZzT4aJWKy Mt. Lady (age 23) Real Name: Yu Takeyama Birthday: 8/11 Height: 162 cm Fav Thing: Peaches She started her own agency at a young age, and although her incident-resolution rate has earned her popularity, she always ends up destroying parts of the city, so it's hard for her finances to stay in the black. She works even harder to earn more money, but then she ends up causing more destruction. It's a vicious cycle. All that hard work caught the attention of some important people, which is why she was included in the mission featured in this volume. Casual Wear: https://share.google/9MunmXnXDyGrbuyhJ Kamui Woods (age 29, since he started counting) Real Name: Shinji Nishiya Birthday: 5/20 Height: 168 cm Fav Thing: Peaceful walks through the woods His talents and popularity have sent his stock soaring as a hero. The backstory of his early childhood is a grand and compelling one. He exploded into popularity when his story was made into a documentary. Some claim that he will be the one to create the next generation of heroes. Casual Wear (all made of organic materials): https://share.google/2kiVgjYBYX8pPE9Lx Edgeshot (age 33) Real Name: Shinya Kamihara Birthday: 2/22 Height: 170 cm Fav Thing: Ninja, rice balls (onigiri) Everyone loves ninja. This guy is a super popular hero. His personal life is shrouded in mystery, and he never makes public appearances except while on the job. There are two factions among his fans. Some want to discover everything there is to know about him, while others think the mystery adds to his charm. The two groups do not get along. Casual Wear: https://share.google/Z0niqbTK7aH2XN9a7 "Side Story: Tsuyu's Ribbity Diary" The following five-page story was originally published in Shonen Jump magazine (in Japan). The main story was experiencing some dark developments at the time, so this little episode seemed like a good way to relieve some tensions and leave people feeling refreshed. I'd love to do more like this if I get the chance. (JT: Luckily for ya'll (and me), this Tsu side story was adapted in the "Training of the Dead" OVA, which I assume has been brought to your attention by now, so I won't add on to this)

Izukingpin Mackdoriya or some shit idk

Yeah, if Bakugo wanted to be a Villian, he would have become a Villian. He's an asshole, but he is an asshole who wants to do good. He wants to protect those who are weaker than him (which he views as just about evrybody) and he is going to do whether they want him to or not. Bakugo is prideful to a fault, which he openly shows, but what people dont realize, like the villains, is that Bakugo can put his pride way when it matters for the greater good. I dont like him, but can respect him. The teachers can see that in Bakugo, like Eraserhead, which is why they dont step in to much, and trust that with time and experience Bakugo would grow.

"Why am 'I' the bad guy from Annie?" - J. Michael Tatum when seeing Ida's disguise for the first time in the booth (from a behind the scenes vid I can't find no more)

Quito

Yeah, agree. Man's hot headedness may be the focal point of his character, but he still has good morals deep inside despite how he may act on the surface. I personally love his character and the way he develops as the show goes on.

S3 finale gonna be a ride and a half to revisit

Mr Compress, the MVP villain for knowing how to keep balls in his mouth

29:27 I mean... ykw, I'll let somebody else say it. Not pulling the pin on this one lol

KenBoCole

Yeah, I agree. Them going was a very bad idea. If it was only them who knew, and they couldn't tell anyone else for some reason, then it would be understandable, but since the Pros and Police know, then it is not only reckless, but harmful for them to insert themselves in the situation!

KenBoCole

It was pretty funny seeing them all dressed up "incognito". Iida's outfit was my favorite lol, he looks like an Italian Plumber.

18:40 idk if it’s a popular opinion but if you forget character names, it’s ok to give them nicknames like you used to lol I’ve noticed you both have a better grasp of who the character is that way 😂

I think it’s hilarious that the villains think Bakugo would ever go to the villain side. Us actually knowing Bakugo, we know despite his abrasive, rude, and sometimes straight up mean personality that there is absolutely no universe where Bakugo woukd EVER become a villain. He absolutely loves being on the hero path and his only aspiration is to be the #1 hero. He worships heroism. He’s just… an a-hole lol. But he’s not evil and would I don’t think he would be the type to ever join the side of evil imo

Jaroku Chronicles

Maybe I sound stupid by saying this, but I would prefer a Spider-Man type of character and a Batman type of character in the world of my hero academy. Reasons why: Spider man and batman are considered vigilantes in their worlds along with many other heroes. They both break the law every single day/night (in batman's case) to go out and save people from threats aka (super powered criminals/psychos. But I never hear anyone call Batman/Spiderman a villain (like froppy did to her classmates before they went forward with their plan.) everytime they go to save someone. Yes, both of they are like this because of their child traumas and they want to help people/they don't want anyone else to go through the same things they've already been through. Batman lost his parents to a shooting/crime so now he goes out every night stopping crime and Spiderman lost his uncle Ben (who taught him that "With great power, comes great responsibility."). So now he goes out everyday despite being late on rent, losing his social life/friends but he still goes out and save lives. And this argument can fit at least most heroes in DC and Marvel. They don't let the law stop them from saving lives, but they do it a controlled way that doesn't hurt anyone else around them and prioritize other people's safety. My argument is simple this, based on the rules of Japan law and possibly around the world about not using your quirks without a license. Then applying them to Marvel/DC heroes (who aren't under government regulations), would we really tell Spiderman/batman not to save their friend or random citizen from danger even if other Pro heroes was already planning on doing the same thing? And would we called them a villain for breaking the law to do so? This is why I love my hero academy, because it really points out the black and white shading on the world of people with powers. And really diving deep into these conversations about, what is a hero? What is a villain? Is someone a villain for breaking the law to save a life? Just cause you're a top hero simple because you found it financially positive on your life, does that mean you're not a hero?

I don't think he's twisting All Might's words at all. It might not be the exact context All Might meant when he said it, but it still applies to this situation. Should he meddle in this situation? No. But because his heart is that of a hero he HAS to. Not meddling when he knows he can do something, anything, would be literal torture for him. All Might is the exact same way. If he knows someone is in danger doing nothing when he could be out there trying to save them is torture for him, but he is an adult man who has worked as a hero for decades. He has the experience necessary to put those feelings aside. Deku doesn't, Todoroki and Kirishima too. Keep in might that they are 15 years old.

10:13 the way he said “Stay Back” in this moment really sounds like he’s concerned for him and doesn’t want him to get hurt by the villains

K Kasher

I love hearing the students debate what to do. They don’t always agree, but they all typically make decent points. I think the debate is almost more important than the conclusion, because some questions don’t have a simple answer, and HOW they discuss it and what options they put on the table for serious consideration is an important part of the growth process for all of them. Practicing this now will make them competent grown-up heroes one day. At the same time, Deku just needs to chill a bit and forgive himself – I know he never will, and that’s why we love him (because he cares THAT much for everyone), but… not everything is his fault, not everything depends solely on him, not every situation needs to be viewed under the lens of whether HE was enough for the situation. He’s not the only hero out there, his friends are all part of any solution that they come up with, and not everything rests on his shoulders. He’s so young, and he’s still learning, and he went SO far above and beyond the call in that camp battleground -- no one else blames him for anything, and his body is still broken. So while I think it’s cool Kirishima is able to tell him “Bakugo is still within your reach,” basically that it’s NOT over and there is still hope, that’s like the last thing that boy needs to think because what he really needs to do is recuperate before he ends up getting himself killed because he’s physically still so broken. (I also think All Might needs to have one last hurrah before his time is over.) Still watching the second episode as I’m writing this, but there’s no way Bakugo would ever become a villain, lol. He’s a terrible captive to try and brainwash! Like, he’s so damn stubborn and while he’s an obnoxious loudmouth, there’s not really an evil bone in his body at all. He wants to be the #1 HERO. Emotional Support Frog for the win! Way to cut through the emotional fog, Tsu! Wow, the heroes have some Big League heroes going on this rescue mission! Yeah, I knew Tenya would go with them -- he isn’t going to let his friends go alone even if every fiber of his being says this mission is a bad idea. He’s gonna watchdog them. I know they are planning a stealth – not fighting – strategy… but you just can’t depend on that. Something ALWAYS goes wrong, and you get discovered, and then you’re stuck either fleeing (if you can) or fighting. There’s no tangible extraction plan, and if they get in trouble, now the heroes have Bakugo AND them dividing their attention. I get it, and admire them for their resolve to save a friend, but making better decisions is something that comes with experience and age, I guess… I hope Tenya can get them out if things go bad. LOL, just that look on Bakugo’s face! Like, dudes, just give it up. He’s not scared. He’s not cowed. He doesn’t give a sh*t about anything you have to say, villains. They have no idea who they are dealing with! Deku’s “STEALTH MODE!” God, I’m just having silly memories of Kronk sneaking around town in The Emperor’s New Groove… But hey, those disguises rocked, lol! Like, that’s some of the funniest stuff yet in MHA. … yeah, we all called Bakugo right on the money, roflmao! He doesn’t even care that he’s outnumbered and alone.

Only way we could see him being a villain is if it is unintentionally. He would never join the villains because he doesn't join things to begin with. But since he has the ego he could go down the path of "ends justify the means" and "I know better and how to make the world better and only I can do it". That kind of villain. Though don't think that will happen either, but if he were to become a villain, that's the only way we could see it 🤗

definitelynotdefinitive

Already watched them unfortunately. So they will be coming out two at a time as usual 🤗

I think it bothers some people because they think that we just don't care enough about the characters or the show. So this year we were going to try and be better about it, but we still will keep some of our nicknames if they stick. Like Mix Tape 😛

Quito

I really love that nickname for Sero! I find it funny and cute tbh. Also I don't mind it. Another reaction channel did short "nicknames" for the characters actual names. Like "Shigy" for Shigaraki or "Kiri" for Kirishima. But I love the names you both randomly come up with!

Cynergy

Aw props for trying to learn every characters name even for huge casts like mha ❤️

Rotom

Something I noticed that I think is really well done is that they're planning this whole stealth mission, but they don't have any stealth heroes. The class has no shortage of stealth heroes. Tsu, Kouda, Shouji, Jirou, and Hagakure are all perfectly made for stealth. Mina, Uraraka, Ojiro, Tokoyami, Mineta, Sero, and maaaaybe Kaminari have some REALLY great potential in stealth. That's 12 out of the 19 available students. They could have had a legitimately insanely good crew for a stealth mission! Instead they have 2 that can't use their quirk at all, one that can but won't have any use for it, one that might be able to get a use in very rare scenarios but would require immense risk and put them on a strict time limit, and one that can use their quirk but can't really do too much useful with it. Really shows off how this is not well thought out at all.
