All For One's theme is iconic. Not the most "complex" track, but it sure as hell is pretty damn chilling.

All For One is such a good written villain and his voice actor does a great job with that voice. He just immediately gives that aura of intimidation. Obviously, a terrible person who has done a multitude of bad things, but still a good villain, nonetheless.

His student-mentor relationship with Shigaraki is interesting too, because it serves as a good foil to Izuku and All Might. Makes for a compelling read/watch to witness both the main hero and villain grow alongside each other.

Also I just wanna say how impressive it is that Bakugo was able to hold out that long against 6 villains for that plan to succeed.

2026-09-27 23:00 All for One’s appearance still give me goosebumps to this day with him just taking out Best Jeanist (Who is the No 4th Hero in the country) just like that with minimal effort just already shows how TERRIFYING he is and how All Might was no exaggerating his theme adding to it makes this like a Top 5 villain intro in Anime for me.

Unrelated note but now that I’m talking about the soundtrack again I got to see the My Hero Academia in Concert at London a week ago and it was phenomenal especially when they performed All for One’s theme the woman who was doing the choir, saying she was amazing was an understatement.

Since they play things on easy and the many ways in which P5R playthroughe can vary, I find it's hard to nail down a set of relevant notes per part (unlike Xenoblade where I knew the exact length of each segment). Oh shit sorry lol. Gameplay tips obvs, any that end up getting repeated prob means they're extra important. Development history and context, particularly info leading up to the release (and some after). Some odds and ends about character trivia. Talking points related to P5R being the first "true blue" JRPG on the channel and what that means for the future. Personal stories/history of mine. May try to do what I did with Xenoblade and have an ever growing playlist for the OST that adds new tracks as each part rolls out (not entirely sure on this one). Think that about sums it up.

E7: These disguises are so awesome the more I see them, too bad they can’t stick with ‘em for awhile lol. “Pizza delivery!” Candygram mighta worked too! Yeah, that seemed a little too easy. Not surprising everything went south – but more than south, apparently: It looks like the BBEG (All for One) has now entered the picture and some characters will never be the same again. I recognized that guy’s voice as soon as he spoke, because it’s from the first anime I ever watched last year: John Swasey, who voiced Van Hohenheim (the Elrics’ dad) in FMAB. So distinctive! (He also voices Zachary in AoT.) … E8: Really liked Deku showing some savvy on how to play Bakugo and the latter’s grin as they escape even as he’s calling them all “idiots”. I think you guys missed something: So Tomura Shigaraki’s real name is Tenko Shimura? (It’s what All for One calls him as he shoves him through the portal.) And … holy sh*t – the prior holder of All might was Nana…SHIMURA??? Uhhhhhh… So All for One basically nabbed someone related to the One for All family as an apprentice?!! That’s just dastardly. I can’t wait to find out more about THAT family history and how this plays into things. Great two episodes though. And plot armor (aside from Deku) feels like it's off the table, it's unclear when anyone might die or lose their powers. I also have to say, while the villains seem like villains, I appreciate how they talk about their life stories as if they are the heroes of their own story -- the music here and Shigaraki flashbacks with AfO could easily be layered over protagonist hero storylines. This is getting pretty epic.

I'm kinda overextended on reactors lol -- I follow three (including this one) and there's been too much feasting lately, so I can't keep up. We've got MHA, CSM, LoVM, and MP100 here, I've got Monster and WHA somewhere else, and now I really wanted to watch Jojo Steel Ball which both other reactors are watching... Plus.... there's regular life and chores and work to fit in there. Hope y'all are doing well. I saw Endgame Encore yesterday (the second time I saw Endgame in the theater, the other time was obviously 2019). I think it's worth seeing as a theater experience for the movie itself, but the "extra footage" leading to Doomsday is pretty lame and you can totally just read about it online rather than seeing EE in the theater if that's the only reason to go.

ENTER my 4th favorite anime villain of all time! Not a fan of All For One's voice in dub, I much prefer the original. It's not as smooth, charismatic. deep or as ASMR inducing to my ears. His OST is so satisfying and epic. Bethany: Fist pumping and cheering every time the heroes make a dramatic entrance and takes a win. I do the same but for the villains :D. They are much more empathetic to me and anytime they succeed and take a win or fight back against the unfair ideals of society's preconceived notion of what's "right" and "wrong" it's satisfying. I like the foil they show for the heroes and villains, the villains too have ambition and tenacity and their own ideals.

Eh, I've never been into the MCU hype that much lol. But that aside, about Steel Ball Run, you jumping into that w/o watching the rest of JJBA prior? I mean you "could", but i personally wouldn't recommend doing so.

well, I did. LOL. I watched about 35 minutes of JoJo SBR e1, so I can start watching E2 with reactors. As far as MCU hype... pretty much for me the honeymoon was over after Endgame, because Phase 4 and onwards has been a disaster overall. At some point, I gave up on Disney, for both MCU and Star Wars. I don't expect much from those franchises anymore. (With SW, I realized pretty much the only stuff I loved was Rogue One and Andor, plus some of the games.) But I still keep an eye on it just in case something good straggles over the horizon....

Such a good point. We’re all more or less the hero’s of our own story because we are the protagonists moving the decisions and events of our life forward so makes sense that even villains see themselves as hero’s, both in our entertainment as well as in the real world. Plus the road to hell is often paved with good intentions so someone may start out good and progressively be corrupted by their own poor choices or bad influences that they surround themself with. Seldom does someone go around thinking, “I’m the worst scum of the universe” and then let out a celebratory villain cackle like they’ve achieved their life goals. 😂
