I live in the uk and I think the thing that makes Americans think we are melting away is the fact the news will have nothing to report about so they say it’s a heatwave and exaggerate everything but when it’s 27°C everyone’s loving it. I work at a pool and I’m pretty sure the only people moaning when its hot is us because the humidity is ridiculous at an indoor pool. Yes there is protection, but football players are larger, and hit each other with all their strength every 20-30 seconds. I’m not saying rugby isn’t tough, cuz they’d all wreck me. I live in the US and it's 90° F and over this week. So 32° C and over. I didn't even install my air conditioner yet. My house doesn't trap heat horrendously but it is extremely old ( like 300 years old and can easily support AC units). Complaining about 70 degree heat is absolutely wild.

I'm in the UK and it was fine to be honest. I live in a 70 year old house and it's just made to trap heat cus in England it's literally winter 80% of the year, so it's better to have houses built this way. But for the summer? We've bought AC and we're fine 😂 it's just that AC is extortionate here to have it fitted in your house because nobody does it and I don't understand why either. But again, the news saying we're all moaning is completely untrue. You should know not to believe journalists by now! Most Brits were enjoying the sun 😂

I've lived in Florida and South of UK. The heat in the US is just different. 40C in Florida feels a lot more tolerable than 25C in UK

I'm from europe, too. I bought a mobile ac a few years ago since I live in the highest story in my building as well. It is a fucking godsend. BUT every person 40+ that sees it is complaining because apparently 1. how can I do that to the environment and 2. how can I pay that much money for electricity. Bitch, I'd much rather pay an extra 10€ a month in electricity than have a room temperature of 35°C+ (95°F) all summer long!

American's tend to think that the cost of utilities is matched in other countries. People can barely afford to heat central heating units in the UK. The price to run AC (if it even worked in our houses) could be the difference of feeding your kids.

Cope is all this is. Some places in Florida average at a 90% humidity while seeing many days a year over 90F. Those are fucking miserably conditions no matter where you are and people who live in those places just deal with it. Plus the Sun is more direct in Florida so if anything it'd feel worse there. The south of UK maybe sees anything comparable to that once a year. I live in a place that will on rare occasions see 100F+ with 90+ humidity in the summer while seeing 50F below zero in the winter, and we just deal with it. The houses where I live are objectively build to store heat even moreso than European houses yet we're still able to make it comfortable in the height of summer with portable ac units. I ain't that bad. I think Andrew was right when he said Europeans just like to bitch and complain about Americans.

Dragon age fans weren't asking for the exact same game as origins, rather a modernized take on the series with the scope and visuals that new tech allows for. It's just that what they got looks like such a departure from the previous games both visually and tonally that it's lost its identity. They might as well have made a new ip because whats been shown of veilguard looks nothing like what the actual fans of the series were yearning for. From my perspective it seems as though the current team at Bioware has no love for the series. In conclusion I think the criticism for what's been shown of the new game is reasonable.

Because it never snows in Texas. The average winter temperature in that state is like 50° Fahrenheit. So yeah, obviously a little snow becomes a big issue as people in southern states often don't even bother purchasing four wheel drive cars. It is an extremely different, very warm climate, and there is zero reason to take precaution for snow because it virtually never happens, nevermind accumulates. You live in Norway, where like the more northern US, snow is a given. And like the northern US, it's no big issue because they've adapted. Totally different. The argument against parts of Europe here is the fact that they routinely have moderately warm and very muggy weather, it is a constant complaint, yet there's a million things they can be doing to make it more tolerable. And they often don't.
