The reason ugly character are so hated also is they're a massive red flag. It's like seeing a guy with a beer belly overalls and a confederate flag shirt, you know exactly the type of things the game's narrative is going to be pushing and a lot of people don't want to be preached to for 20hrs of game play. It's always those type of games too cause anyone with sense would make attractive character because that's what sell so to do otherwise means your placing your ideology before wanting your game to perform well which is beyond stupid.

Im a huge car guy, its more of my personality than id like to admit, and ill say the majority of car guys suck, its turned into an internet popularity contest more so than its become building something you actually like, i cant blame non car people for generally hating car people now since were now mostly associated with 18 year olds with straight piped honda accords and v6 “muscle” cars who think just because theyre speeding and their car is loud, thinks theyre fast and cool, you guys should try to find an organized car show/meet one day with restrictions to get in, those are typically filled with cool cars and much cooler more respectable people and it might be a lot of fun

I like to have fun driving out in the country and on back roads where it's mostly just you but people who swerve between traffic on the highway like idiots should have their license suspended permanently. I think California has it just right where if they pull you over for being an actual danger to others they can impound and crush your car if it's too heavily modded

I can't stand motorcyclist, mainly just the crotch-rocket ones. There's a stretch of highway near me that got reduced speed from 70mph to 45mph because of jackass motorcyclists kept causing accidents from either racing or doing dumb shit like weaving or trying to show off. The reduced speed feels like you're coming to a crawl.

btw the reason cars in america are so huge is a 2008 epa regulation that required manufacturers to make cars more gas efficient with the exception of larger vehicles that wouldn't be able to conform to that standard (like semi trucks), so in response companies just made cars bigger instead of more efficient to avoid the tax penalty lmao

The road I live on has these idiots on motorcycles flying down it at 100mph every night, even though I live in a residential area, it's infuriating. They only do it here because the road itself is long, but I've seen them almost hit children coming down the path because they swerve onto the pavement and everything. I was walking down the road the other day and saw police outside a house putting these same bikes onto an impound truck with the owners arguing why they were being taken away. I've never loved the police more 🤣

Lived in Cary town in Richmond va with my windows facing the road cars an bikes flying down that road at night I heard them when I was up never got woken up by them. I feel like the argument is derived from the same hate that old people give football players that make millions of dollars but still sit and watch the game every Sunday. Maybe I'm biased. Although I love cars and I like the noises they make, I own an EV. The NEED to produce an insane amount of noise every time you get behind the wheel is bordering between fetishism and compensation. It is so weird to me. There's a time and a place before it, but it's not all the time and every place. Same with loud bikes. Loud pipes save lives is maybe like, .5% true. Whether a character is meant to be attractive or not, the fundamental rules of character design are consistent. Concord’s characters go well beyond being unattractive. They are actively unappealing on a level that can be scientifically studied. It’s like their artists went out of their way to violate as many basic rules on color theory and visual design as possible. There are hour long video essays on YouTube about how fundamentally their designs fail across the board from an artistic perspective. They are a masterclass on what not to do when designing a character if you want them to be even remotely interesting to look at.

Partially agree, but speeding existing doesn't make it right. Most people speed, car or bike. These people are special though. They are doing like 100mph OVER the federal speed limit. Not only is it like skydiving with a beach towel, it CAN AND WILL kill people. It means that, if they hit a car that's doing 80 (still speeding), that is a 100MPH impact. Enough to destroy the car and PLENTY to make it spin out. It CAN kill others, it no doubt has. It's great that you're a biker, respectable hobby, but no reason to defend these people.

I'm a massive fan of the show but the first 30 minutes of this episode were an embarrassment. I don't expect to agree with you 100% of the time, nor would I expect you you to agree with all my takes. It's not about the speed per-se, it makes the car feel more responsive and it's more efficient. When I do speed, it's on select roads that I scout ahead of time to ensure there won't be people around. As soon as I see headlights, it doesn't matter how far or what lane, I decelerate. For me, I like it because it's a way of expressing myself and connecting with a contraption that I have to spend a significant amount of my life in. If I have to spend countless hours going from A to B, I may as well have some fun doing it, as long as I am not interfering with anybody else. Not everyone is a red-lining muffler-deleting clown, most modded cars you wouldn't notice.
