19:15 kinda related, I like redemption stories where a character goes on a journey to improve themselves. but a lot of the time when a protagonist does something bad, it was either an accident or out of their control. It’s like the writers don’t want to commit to writing a morally grey character. I really liked final fantasy 4 because they committed to having the protagonist do something evil then redeem himself.

Blaming veilguards failure purely on the "woke" shit is missing the bigger picture. Take out all the "woke" shit and its still just not a good game. Andromeda was also not good, and it didnt have any of that inclusiveness stuff. I couldnt give less of a shit if they want to include top surgery scars or non-binary stuff or whatever, as long as its ignorable I dont really care. I can respect that some people do actually really like seeing some representation in their media, and funny enough even those folks didnt like veilguard because it was just badly written, fullstop. Baldurs gate 3 lets you be a non-binary breasted dragon with a huge floppy dick that fucks a bear, and its one of the best rpgs of all time. Its not a woke problem, just a poor writing problem.

A big reason why I still keep coming back to classic wow is because the lead devs are either 40yo chunky dudes with a bald head and a Santa beard or 20 something y/o dweeb who has a high rank gaming history and knows wtf they’re talking about. They to an extent still follow the “rule of cool” ask em why they decided to create/change/add something and their response boils down to “it fucken sick isn’t it” They extended the end of the current beta, made all mobs drop high lvl rare and legendary gear and were spawning world bosses all over the map. Just bc it was fun and to no one’s surprise everyone playing had a great time

1:00:00 what really irks me about these companies tryna have ai mimic ppl is when you call the bank or some company to help with your shipping issues, they add office ambience, like keyboard clicks or a fan or water machine in the background. Like do they really think we’re THAT stupid to believe that shit

Digger failed because what sparse marketing it had was garbage in and of iself. Doesnt give any inkling what the movie is about it jusy goes "TOM CRUISE is DIGGER" And you just have to look at the average marketing major in uni (brain dead frat/sorority trust fund kids that ONLY party and share test and homework answers from legacy frat/sorority alumni) to know why so much marketing fails these days
