I try not to call people casuals because it's natural for everyone to have different amounts of interest and investment into the sport. But the online MMA fans seem like 90% casuals who refuse to engage with the sport at a deeper level than "big punch go BOOM"

Nobody in my personal life watches the fights outside of my partners uncle. He and i talk a lot. But hes more of a fan who just enjoys fights While talking about khalil vs jiri prior to the fight. He said how “accurate” khalil is with his shots. And how he had zero faith in khalil winning. Just sorta bit my tongue on that one.
