Patreon update for July: Cruise Control (Patreon)
Content
Hey friend! This past month has been a bit of a weird one. As far as creative production is concerned, it's been pretty basic. Just been trying to keep on top of the Two Hour Track Challenges and work on some side projects when I have time. Feels a bit like I have hit the cruise control on creativity and things are going smoothly.
Of course, if you know me, I have a hard time sticking with the status quo. I'm not saying that in a cool "walking away from explosions with sunglasses on" kind of way; more that if things stay the same too long my anxiety starts to kick in and I'm feeling like I'm doing something wrong.
Aside from the 2HTC stuff, I have plans to hopefully finish up Extreme Mining in a month or two and focus on the Infinity Loop album I teased last month.
<EDIT>Completely forgot the mention that the Two Hour Track Challenge Season SEVEN was just released! You can check it out on Spotify here or on any other streaming service :)</EDIT>
In other awesome news, my buddy Gord Little was able to get Spell Casting ported onto the Switch, bringing my little soundtrack with it. It's amazing to have content I made inside of a Nintendo platform; one of my childhood dreams. It's got me thinking about talking to someone to see if porting Color Jumper would be an option 🤔
Another unreleased game which I made the soundtrack for has been picked up by a publisher as well! This one is still a bit under wraps for a few more weeks but it's been really cool to have actual meetings with a game studio talking about making music for a trailer and stuff.
Beyond that, my wife and I took a vacation this prior week, which was much needed. If you'll remember, we tried to take a vacation last year around this time and Trevor got deathly sick and needed emergency surgery so we had to cancel. It was very nice to explore a small slice of Canada and recharge our batteries a bit.
So even though on the surface things have seemed a bit slow, there has been a ton of movement. I'm excited to share more with you as things continue to develop! Also, the Two Hour Album Challenge is coming up later this month! I can't believe this is going to be Volume Seven already! I don't know what the theme is yet, but I think we'll have some really great participation this time around.
Time to go donate to some kitties! As always, feel free to get in touch with me in the comments below. I'm open to ideas and suggestions :)
